This review is for take out only. The diner itself is very nice and upscale-décor is very nice and not typical shabby old diner booths. There is ample parking available in the lot-and you cannot miss the diner due to its bright lights. Now on to the food: There was no seasoning or flavor or even salt in the food what so ever. We had to use what ever condiments we were given, to add flavor into our food– so it was edible. We ordered about $ 50 worth of food, and its a shame we weren’t able to enjoy it. As for the service it was good, but the food definitely needs improvement.

I just wanted to give a personal thanks to this diner for service that was beyond good. While there I actually ordered the wrong thing, so since it was my fault I decided not to complain. The waiter wanted to know if everything was OK and I told him I ordered the wrong sandwich. He said no problem can I get you something else. The manager came over and brought me another sandwich. I just wanted to thank them and let people know how well they treated me. I will certainly return and recommend this diner to everyone who needs to be treated well. Believe me there are plenty of restaurants who would not care about their customers in this fashion.

I ordered a spaghetti with meatballs and I’m not sure if they seriously cooked it. I feel like I ate a spaghetti noodles slap with tomato sauce and a very bad meatballs. It was very badly cooked! My husband and I thought we should try this place since it’s in the neighborhood, but it’ll be the first and last! Really disappointed, I’m not expecting the best spaghetti meatballs but the one I had is totally a failsauce! like literally!

Let me start by saying what an average meal. Thank god this place has wifi or would have had to put my phone down and watch old people eat #gross. The fries were good and my egg sandwich was overly decent. My waitress was a doll and they had delicious mints. If ur looking for a mediocre meal come to the Broadway diner!

Worst service ive ever had. I called in an order and literally everything was wrong. Beyond annoyed. The owner was so rude, he couldn’t even tell me what a ribeye steak was and told me that they were not a steakhouse when I asked. I spoke to 4 different people when I ordered because they kept passing the phone around. Will NEVER order here again. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

Been going here on and off for years. Still by far the best and most reasonably priced diner in the area. Definitely worth the trip. Always a pleasant experience.

They do a few things right here, but for the most part Broadway Diner is a very average spot on LI. See below… The Good: — Service is usually quick and on point — SIZABLE portions — Location(near major roads and Hicksville LIRR) — Hours(open late!) — Burgers — Wraps — Double sided seating — All day breakfast The Average: — The rest of the food — Soups are bland — The salads are HUGE, but aren’t cut well, so it’s awkward to eat. Golfball sized pieces of feta are not the best. — The ridiculously large menu. Cut it down. Quality over quantity. The bad: — Parking. Yuck. So, you can do worse than come here. If you need a quick meal that’ll leave you stuffed for days, do it!

I had the Greek Moussaka, it was a huge portion! Enough for two people(at least) & served with a Greek side salad. Loved it! My friend got the Reuben. He said the meat was delicious. Waitress was wonderful and very attentive. Fast service, impressive bakery case at the front counter. Beautiful real NY Pastries done right, black and white cookies the size of dinner plates, and some of the best cheesecake I have ever eaten! Perfect service and food! HIGHLYRECOMMENDED.

I haven’t been here in quite some time. Was a regular back in my college days back in the late 90’s and it’s still good! The full parking lot intimidated me a little, but we got in and seated right away. The waitress was very good and friendly, got our orders perfect. Strong iced coffee! Hey Now! I’m wide-awake! Anyway good whole wheat pancakes, yummy omelet with veggies and cheese and tasty well done home fries. Don’t know what else I can add to the review except that I love the fact they have TONGS to grab a free«urine cookie». You know that jar up by the register full of those cookies people be grabbing them on the way out after using the restroom. Still will pass on them.

Huge portions! We ordered two breakfast combos and got enough to easily share. I had the Greek omelette combo and my husband had the corned beef hash combo. The service was good. There was a mix up with one of our dishes and our server very nicely took care of it — exactly what would be expected — no attitude. When you walk in, watch out! You will be greeted by a mean joke. There is a huge case of BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS treats. Save room or get it to go like we did. Enjoyed a very cute chocolate mousse moues cake with coffee in the afternoon. Yummy!

Broadway Diner is like any other diner on LI. Go in, grab a booth or table, browse a menu with 400 different items to choose from, end up ordering a breakfast item, and eating. This diner is pretty big and is actually in a pretty convenient location. It’s across the street from Ikea and the mall so if you’re shopping, this is a decent spot to refuel. The food here is just okay. My omelet was pretty dry and the cheese inside was not melted. The hashbrowns were good, though. Service here is spotty, at best. All of the waitresses were busy standing near the kitchen area and gossiping while a bunch of us waited for our checks. We kept waving our waitress over and she kept saying«one minute, one minute». One minute became almost 20 minutes. If you want delicious diner food(if that’s even possible) and efficient service, go elsewhere.

It’s not a bad diner– typical overloaded menu and pastries out front. As it is with many diners, the food feels overpriced for the quality you get. $ 6+ for a plate of Ore-Ida fries with shredded mozzarella on top? Give me a break. The food is mediocre at best, nothing ever seems to exceed expectations. I had clam chowder that was particularly awful and salty one time. They sometimes give us free pickles and slaw spread before the meal, but it is not consistent so I don’t know if you have to ask for it when you order. It’s kinda grimy as the diner is very old and parking can be tricky during really busy times. We mostly frequent it because no other restaurants around are open very late but this place is a 24/7, which is means it is a true diner in my books.(A lot of diners are no longer open 24⁄7) Staff seems to be competent and as courteous as you can manage to be at 2am.

Having worked near by a few years back, schooled near by(Go Pioneers) and a frequent shopper at the Broadway Mall, I’ve eaten at this diner a number of times. I get the fact that diners specialize in nothing, yet offer everything as a full plethora of all possible foods that can be represented, should be. But at some point, doesn’t the business find a niche, an area that they specialize in, rely on for repeat business? Carve out a segment somewhere? Should I summize that’s just my wacky way of thinking, hoping for an item I really enjoy? Because nothing I’ve ever ordered has any special attributes of flavor combinations, a particular dish they flat out do better than other local spots. Nada, Nein, Zero, Zilch. It could be a deluxe bagel for all I care, give me a reason to retuen, gimme an item I may crave weeks down the road or at any point. I had more eventful meals in military school, whose flagship item was mini pizzas on English Muffins. Sorry to say there is just nothing here that interests me and, sorry to report, really never did.

My partner and I have been regulars ever since we moved out to Nassau a couple of months back. We usually go for the breakfast special and the occasional late night munchies. The food is inconsistent and the portion sizes always vary. The hosts(who I believe are the owners) are sweethearts but you never know what side of the bed the servers woke up on until you interact with them. I’m posting this review to a share a recent experience and to remind myself why I shouldn’t go back. On Valentine’s Day 2015, we headed to the diner for breakfast. They weren’t serving specials because it was a holiday, so it took us a few extra minutes to look at the menu. Fair enough. When the waitress came over to take our order, I asked for a chicken quesadilla and my partner asked about soup specials. Your standard chicken noodle, matzoh ball, etc. He asked when they had French onion. Releasing a heavy sigh, she said they also had that(which she didn’t initially mention). Fine. But if my boyfriend wanted a side of attitude with his breakfast, I would’ve just picked a fight with him for absolutely no reason in the comfort of our home. Anyway, chicken quesadilla arrives. Where’s my guac, I ask. You didn’t ask for any, she answers. But doesn’t it usually come with it, my mind recollects. Yes, but not everyone likes guac so customers have to ask for it, she responds. I’ve worked as a waitress. If the establishment is concerned about wasting food, fine, but servers have the added responsibility of relaying this information to customers. That, or just change the description on the menu. Considering how rude she’d been since the moment she took our drink order, I lost it. I didn’t enjoy my meal, and listening to her not-so-quietly complain about the people in her section not leaving as fast as she’d like just irked me. Whatever your reason is for dining out, there’s a certain set of standards a food establishment should maintain. Unfortunately, this place does not always meet them. Fortunately for their location, losing two loyal customers won’t be a huge loss to them.

Perfect midnight snacking or hearty breakfast kind of place. This diner is located right near the movie theatre so after a midnight showing I usually go here for hot chocolate or a burger. Some Saturdays I go for breakfast. Regardless of the time, the service is great, the staff is friendly and it’s over a great family environment. The prices are fair for a diner and the crowd is generally families or couples.

We were a group of 4 adults 2 children. Seated immediately given water, drinks and appetizers. Fresh bread basket with all varieties of crackers with butter. We had the rib eye, squash stewed and chicken soup. Burgers are fresh served with lettuce and tomato with fries or potato. We also had bbq chicken salad served up fresh and crisp. The next order was a grilled chicken salad with delicious grape leaves on top. Kids had chicken fingers that accompany fries and a child’s ice cream dish. To complete my dinner I sampled the brown mouse dessert. Excellent chocolate cake with mousse inside. A must try. Centrally located close to LIE and Northern pkwy. parking is a private lot

What I like here: — extensive menu keeping in line with a traditional diner — fast and friendly service — typical diner ambiance inside, but the place is very clean
