Mama Venezia Pizza

Ordered a chicken parm hero as well as a veal parm hero. My veal was delicious and cooked perfectly. My co workers chicken parm was equally as delicious. Delivery was about 20 minutes around noon which was great. Food was hot and heroes were big. Order came to less than $ 17 bucks which was great. I can’t wait to try the shrimp parm next week!

Disgusting! Starchy, over cooked pasta. Burnt bready calzones. Pizza sauce has way too much oregano. Never again.

I cannot say I’ve ever had dinner here and been disappointed.
This is a pizzeria but I’ve actually never had a slice.
They serve the best shrimp parm I’ve ever had and that’s comparing it to places that charge more. They serve five HUGE shrimps per platter with a side choice of either salad or pasta. Who can resist pasta? I do! Because their house salad is delicious too. So fresh and the lettuce is crispy and the mozzarella is grated in large strips perfectly. The dressing is homemade Italian or vinaigrette IDK! But it’s good too.
Previously I’ve tried a piscatory that had mussels, clams, lobster tail and you can ask for it in red or white sauce. A huge order deff have to share.
Garlic bread is okay. They serve the table with bread to begin with so ordering garlic bread is pointless lol.
They have Italian ices that they serve with two scoops that tower nicely.
Try the shrimp parm for sure!

Terrible service. Took an hour and ten minutes to get a pizza, which was 40 mins over the latest delivery time. The delivery boy told me that they made him deliver an order with mine that took him 13 minutes in the opposite direction from my house and so my order sat in his car for over a half hour getting cold. When I called to complain, they flat out refused to do anything bu offer me a discount for next time, which is laughable becuase why would I wasnt to order from them again and get a crappy cold pizza with no regard for my time or needs. Everything was just appauling, and talking to the owner was SHAMEFUL as he was the one who started yelling at ME onthe phone when HE was the one who screwed up from beginning to end. I also was told that they do this ALL THE TIME. so good to know after I wasted my money on them, If I could give them negative stars, I would.
Bottom line: I could tell from many reviews on grubhub and otherwise that they screw up and then don’t fix it and not only do they not fix it, their attitude is just appauling. They made me get a refund from grubhub and not them, and the OWNER cursed me out because I said I didn’t want a credit for next time because why would I order again from them to get a cold and late pizza? They should be ASHAMED of themselves the way they conduct themselves with customers. ASHAMED.
I will never go back, and probably disencourage anyone I know from ever using them in the future. Their portions are fine (not HUGE like some ppl say by any stretch) but EXPENSIVE and not worth the hassle, esp if the food is OLD by the time it gets to me

Why is it so difficult for the delivery guys to ring the right doorbell. This time is was specifically specified on the order we put through eat 24. I dont know why this isnt being communicated by the staff. Every time an order is placed. Food is awesome as usual but following delivery instructions not so much.

Hated their cheese pizza. The ingredients compared to other pizzas I’ve had was so yucky. They put way too much cheese on their pizzas and their menu is boring. Not impressed. The only reason why I gave them an extra star is because you can order online. But I don’t recommend ordering from them.

i been here a few times. the pizza is close by to my house so ill have it sometimes. my go-​to spot is mama linos but this is decent also. price is about average and sauce taste alright. I also had a full pie from here which was good

Great pizza my coworkers and I really enjoyed their food. It was delicious and fresh!

The first time we ordered from this place, we were pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, it seems as if that initial positive experience was a fluke. The last 2 or 3 times we’ve ordered, including the pizza that just got delivered 10 minutes ago, has been slightly burned on the bottom and always arrives fairly cold. Might be ok to go and eat there, but you might want to skip on delivery from this place.

Stopped going pizza always burnt on bottom and old burnt pieces stuck to bottom. Been going for years but this last year hasn’t been good at all. But sadly I had to move on to a different Pizzeria.

Lived close to this place for almost 10 years and never really have it a shot always went to other local pizza places but for the last few months ive been coming here and i order pizza once a week for sure and this place def has the best pizza around the area, just writing this review makes me want to get their pizza, sauce isn tasty, crust and slices are right size of being a real NY slice

Excellent margarita pie, excellent knots! My go to pizza place any day of the week. I still can’t believe this used to be umbertos, my childhood pizza place in new Hyde park!

I am so, so disappointed. I ordered for delivery through grub hub one hour before closing. I wasn’t sure if this was too late to closing, but they never called and said otherwise. We ordered one buffalo slice (awful and came with no blue cheese like I had asked for) a «white» slice (a PLAIN slice with mozzarella and ricotta melted on top!!! I will have to post a picture), a cheese slice (black on the bottom, burnt to a crisp), and garlic bread with cheese (mediocre). The food came in a box that was falling apart. The delivery person rang the doorbell at the front door like I specifically asked in the delivery instructions not to do as I live around back. I tipped over 20% to this place for awful food that my boyfriend and I threw out. This ruined our night and our dinner. We will never order here again and want our money back.

Really good pizza, super nice staff, there’s never a wait. Always consistent with their food. I’ve tried their specialty slices, plain slices, chicken roll, spinach rolls, garlic knots, and greek salads… all with no disappointments! Great place

Ordered some pizza through the Eat24 app… Here’s the deets!
1. Pizza is fresh… I recommend the specialty pie with sausage, onions, peppers, pepperoni, etc.
2. Delivery is quick
3. If you use the app and request it delivered at a certain time, it comes when it’s ready… Not necessarily when it’s requested… I requested 8:15 because we were running errands… Luckily we came back early because it showed up at 7:40.

The pizza is absolutely delicious here! The sauce is perfect! My husband stumbled upon this place about 6 months ago when we moved to the area, and it is now our official spot.
On a recent visit I ended up speaking with the owner. Turns out he worked at Umberto’s of NHP for 20 years as a cook! No wonder his Sicilian and plain slices are soooo good and the sauce is just right!
Highly recommend this place. Ample seating. Nice people :)

As a self proclaimed pizza snob, I have to say that this is my favorite pizza spot. From a plain slice, to a Sicilian, to the pinwheels, and garlic knots it’s all just devine! I’ve had a hard time finding places that have the right mix of flavor and texture, but this place nails it everytime!

I have been ordering from this place for months now. The staff is nice and friendly, and their prices are great. The service is always quick and of quality. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. Definitely try the Grandma Slice Pie if you get a chance!

I ordered through grubhub for takeout. As I arrived I ran into a co-​worker. I thought that was a good sign for sure. I was in and out in 2 minutes. No line and the staff was very attentive. The first thing I noticed was how heavy the bag was when the server handed me my entrée. This lunch was bound to be plentiful.
I ordered a plain slice and a chicken franchese entrée with spaghetti. It was about a 5 minute drive back to work but it was still warm when I arrived. I ate the slice en route. It was okay. I liked the sauce, it had a nice tang to it. The cheese was just ok, there could have been more of it. The crust was nice. What I disliked about it was a little too much oregano. Despite that I’d still be willing to try their deep dish.
As I opened the bag for my entrée I noticed three pieces of bread. I guess I didn’t get the memo. Is bread going out of style or something? One piece would be more than sufficient I’d thought to myself but I soon discovered why.
At first glance the chicken looked dry. I prefer it drenched in sauce with the pasta on the side but it was placed on top of the spaghetti in a way that the portable container would allow. When I moved the spaghetti I quickly realized there was a pool of sauce under it which made me very happy. Eventhough the sauce was at the bottom the chicken was still juicy and flavorful. There were three thinly sliced pieces. The texture of the spaghetti was just the way I liked it. A few seconds past al dente. I managed to finish about half the platter and decided to put the rest away for later. The portion size for the price is a really good deal.
Another thing I really liked about this place was you could order side orders, toppings, and all kinds of sauces so you can customize your order exactly the way you like it. One thing that was missing was a side order of mushrooms. Hell, they had everything else so why not. Now onto the dislikes, there were no utensils in my bag. I was going back to work. Was I supposed to eat this with my fingers? There were also no napkins, fantastic. Luckily I was able to borrow some from a co-​worker. It wouldn’t kill them to throw in some small containers of butter especially if they were giving away so much bread. The parking lot is also very small and I had to wait a few minutes until a spot opened up. It ended up being a handicapped spot but I parked in it anyway since I wasn’t going to be long. I also ordered a side of grated cheese and it appeared to be sitting for a while because when I went to use it, it came out of the container in one massive clump. Now since those are the worst things I had to say about the place it really isn’t all that bad.
