Very ho hum breakfast. Ham was thin & tough. Feta & spinach omlette had no taste very little spinach or feta. Biscuit had been microwaved too long so was tough. Waitress was nice tho

Foods not bad but nothing to write home about. Except that it’s close to work I don’t think I’d come again. Has a 60’s diner feel and music but a sickly sweet fragrance in the air. What are they trying to cover?

Got food poisoning 3 times from this place… The food all tastes old and disgusting, and often times comes to the table cold. They treat their wait staff like shit, the managers are less than helpful, and act like it’s a huge inconvenience to help you. The cooks will purposely make your order wrong if they don’t like you, or have to remake your order. The bathrooms are nasty and the doors hardly ever work. The dining area is nasty as well, old dirty looking carpet, the molding at the bottom of the walls is falling off, the tables are stained and very gross(especially around the edges of the tables), some of the booths seems to be falling apart with no effort to repair them, and the salt in the salt shakers are often clumped up from not being changed out regularly. I’ve heard from many employees that its a horrible place to work for, and I feel sorry for the staff there. I will never go back to this place, and will deter others from dining there as well…

The food was amazing, the service was great. We had the classic BLT, a burger that was juicy, the thin cut ribbon fries and breakfast plates. We will come again if we’re ever passing through.

I had the open faced roast beef with mashed potatoes and my husband had a cheeseburger. It was good and only $ 16

4.5 Stopped in for a late dinner on our way home from a weekend trip. We’d never been here before, but my guy had noticed the place and was curious so we gave it a try. He had one of the prettiest omelettes I’ve ever seen. Pretty alone would not get this good review though, it was tasty! He had some nice hash browns with it too. I had a patty melt(nice sized patty, grilled onions, swiss cheese, on buttery grilled rye… YUM) and fries, and Hallelujah they had brown gravy! I love gravy fries, and it was so good. Comfort food for sure. The patty melt was also good dipped in that gravy. We were two happy travelers after that meal. For regular diners they also have a rewards plan, you earn points towards free food with every order. My guy likes that idea for his trips between Charlotte and Raleigh. It’s clean and comfortable inside and the service is really friendly. You definitely feel well taken care of. Oh… and they are open 24hrs a day Monday thru Saturday and most of the Day Sunday, which is awesome if you’re travelling.

I live in Archdale and I normally go to the diner when I eat late at night, last night I went to the diner and I had to ask for my drink three times and didn’t get until after my food came out then when I get my bill they charged me $ 3.10 for one glass of milk(you can buy a whole gallon for that) the only reason I gave them two stars is because the food was good but I doubt I will be back especially how the manager acted.

Just had a good breakfast! In the past I have had mediocre food and service. It is time for me to rethink that opinion!

My family ate here on our way to Myrtle Beach. My fried chicken breast with gravy was very tasty. The side salad was very fresh with the best ranch dressing. The hash browns were good and mac n cheese was just ok. I had a piece of chocolate cake and it was super fresh with delicious creamy icing. Family of 4 for under $ 40. Great food for a good deal. Atmosphere was pleasant. I would stop here again on my way through to try something else from the 4 page menu. Skip the waffle house and go here. Hope you like it as much as we did.

I went to the diner knowing what I wanted because I looked it up online and it was the special of the day. I wanted to see if the waitress knew and of course she was clueless. After receiving my food she did not check back to see if I wanted my tea refilled until I was almost finished. She never asked if I would like dessert, so the diner lost money on an up sell. It appeared all the waitstaff were more interested standing around talking than making money for themselves and their employer. As for the food it was very good and the side salad was fresh and full of veggies.

Fast service. Friendly. Our waitress was on top of the service. The food is always great. The omlets are delicious. I always enjoy my visit. I have never been unpleased.

I’ve eaten at this diner many times after late nights out. I enjoy the burgers and fries more than the breakfast options. If you really want breakfast, go for the pancakes. The mini burgers are pretty good. This diner has good cake, cobbler, and banana pudding as well. The service is always good… even late at night. I’ve never had a bad waitress. This place is almost always open. I think they only close one night a week and are open 24 hours other than that. Its definitely the best late night place to get food in Archdale. They have a loyalty program for frequent diners.

Stopped here for breakfast on a roadtrip despite the negative reviews. Food was just fine, service was just fine. Good liver sausage and biscuits and gravy. Passable corned beef, grits, and coffee. Certainly better than any chain breakfast place, good prices, too. Typical off-interstate greasy spoon. Will visit again.

This place had to be the worst restaurant experience I have had in at least a decade. This was about 6 – 8 months ago, and I have been so mad ever since, I haven’t been able to type. So I finally can write a review. When you’re trying to get breakfast with a 2 and 4 year-old, it can be a trying experience anyway. I decided to come to this place b/c the Eastchester, and Regional Rd. locations are amazing, and I frequent them often. How this place even has the same name as the others is a mystery to me. We were quickly greeted, and sat at a table. The restaurant was not that busy. We ordered within five minutes, and waited for our food. The kids were coloring, and everything was fine. The waitress brought my son a cup of water, even though we ordered chocolate milk. No problem. Just bring me some chocolate milk. I realize readers of this review will think I’m exaggerating, but I have a fabulous Swiss timepiece that says otherwise. 20 minutes later, the waitress, who I thought had been abducted by aliens, I mean.. . this is a very small restaurant, and she was simply GONE.. .. She returns to our table to assure us that our food would be coming directly. She sort of did this in a drive-by kind of fashion, and I didn’t even have a chance to ask about the chocolate milk. Fine. We’re okay. I’ll ask when she brings our food. I am not lying when I say I did not see this woman for another SOLID20 minutes. When I saw her, she was carrying food. It was for a table that was sat at least 10 minutes after us, and all I could hear behind us was the guy complaining b/c it wasn’t even remotely what he ordered. The rest of the table got what they ordered, but this one guy’s food wasn’t even close. I started to lose hope. The kids were absolutely starving. She literally walked right past our table without a single glance. I saw her again about 5 mins later with some more food for this one guy. Again, there wasn’t even a glance in our direction. I was out of drink at this point. After about 5 more minutes, I couldn’t find the waitress, I left money on the table for our drinks, and we left the place. Never can I imagine any circumstance in the future, short of a thermonuclear war that destroys every single other restaurant on Earth, where I would set foot back into this place again. And that’s depressing, since it’s the closest location to my house, and I hit the others at least twice a week.

Meeting up with friends about ½ way between Raleigh and Charlotte put us at Carolina’s Diner. The place needs a facelift but the service and food were fair if not just slightly better than A-Okay. Atmosphere is severely lacking — plain white wall paneling that needed a deep cleaning. Tables were clean. Think 50’s era diner but with a run-down feeling to it. I’d imagine if they did remodel, the food prices would go up substantially. The triple-decker melt would not be my first choice next time around, should have gone with my first instinct which was the Reuben, but I wanted to try something different. The potato soup was terrific and the fries were very skinny.

I want to start off by pointing out that the service we had here went above and beyond my expectations. We were a group of 10+ that had an original reservation for a table of 5. As more of our party came straggling in, our server took it in stride and helped us add more tables and chairs to our booth. I really appreciated her help and how she was able to keep track of everyone’s order. If I were to review Carolina’s Diner on service alone, it would be a solid 5 stars. What was off-putting for me was the food. It’s your classic diner, but nothing really stuck out for me at the end of the meal. Eggs. meh. potatoes. meh. sausage. meh. If someone were in the High Point area and wanted diner food, I’d highly recommend this place. I’m just generally not a fan of diners.

I’ve already ordered and sitting here I decide I’d like a small salad… no problem she said but then she comes and tells me if I had told her when I ordered my sandwich it would’ve been $ 1.50 but since I didn’t it’s going to be $ 3.59…she brings it and it’s bag lettuce with a wilted red onion ring on it… can’t wait to see the sandwich… mercy!!! Her calling me «sweetie» every time she came to the table didn’t help the fact that the place is tired. They rest on the idea they are just off the interstate and the only place where you can get a late night bite. I drove from High Point but should’ve just stopped by the McDonald’s down the street from my hotel.

One thing lots of smaller communities do well is family restaurants. Carolina’s in High Point is a good example. This was a surprising place but not for the reasons you might think. The menu is substantial and with standard fare, but the food is done well. Not gourmet, not unpalatable, but slightly better than basic. What makes Carolina’s stand out, is the waitstaff. Despite being slammed with customers, they all managed to stay focused and smiling. There appeared to be a lot of locals on the day I was there and the staff had next-door-neighbor style of rapport with them. Since it’s located not too far off the interstate Carolina’s is obviously familiar with waiting on those passing through and were disciplined enough not to bat an eye at my unusual request. The only thing that appeared to take them aback — my server lost her nothing-surprises-me composure — was my declining the hash browns that come with every breakfast. Of all things to cause an eyebrow raise. Weird. Anyway, the omelette was perfect. Perfectly cooked, perfectly folded, and perfectly seasoned. That’s pretty hard to do when the kitchen is getting inundated with more orders than I could count from my seat at the counter. 5 stars for that. I’ve come to be a fan of sitting at the counter when one is available. It gives me a unique view of the workings. Plus, I get an opportunity to see true customer service — does the staff ignore me, forget about me, or check on me more frequently? Here, Carolina’s gets rave reviews. Nearly every waitress on her way to the kitchen would stop and ask if I needed anything regardless of whether the counter was at her station. It wasn’t enough to be annoying, but was enough to let me know they kept up with their customers. Again, nicely done.
