Firestone Complete Auto Care

I took my Jeep here once for a State inspection. The day before I gave it a performance tune-​up, and it was running fine. The mechanic advised me it had failed the emissions test, but could be fixed with a tune-​up. I took my vehicle directly to another shop that specializes in tune-​ups and performance analysis. They analyzed my Jeep and said it was right on the numbers, and should have passed inspection. They printed me a copy of the results, and I returned to Firestone. Firestone re-​inspected it and came back and told me the headlights were out of adjustment. By this point I was ready to punch a wall. I authorized them to adjust the headlights, and they broke the adjusting screw device. That was the last straw. I told the mechanic to give me my vehicle, paid for the failed inspection and vowed to never come back or recommend this location to anyone.

The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the front office staff were very helpful and friendly. The guys working on my vehicle took over 2 and half hours for an oil change and new set of tires. This is with an appointment.

First visit hear for car service. Need a brake job and oil change. The staff is very friendly and they have coupons off of the services. Was told I need new rotors rather than resurface, hope that’s true. Since I had coupons that puts the price up to what other facilities are charging for just resurfacing so I’m still ahead of the game and no worse off.
My car was finished in a timely manner and for a decent price. Location is a little tricky getting to depending on which way you come down Eastchester drive. The waiting area is small but the staff and cost make up for that.

Took my suv here for an oil change, tires & to look @ some concerns another shop tried to sell me on. The staff there was extremely friendly & quick to get me in & out without an appointment. I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything like @ the dealership. Would definitely recommend this location, I will be returning.

They get one star for answering telephone. Husband called for price on mounting and balancing set of tires. They asked if tires were new. Told them tires had less than 2000 miles on them. Their response, «Oh no sir, we only mount new tires!» I guess they don’t need the business.

I attempted to have my oil changed at Firestone, which is the norm for me. I waited at the counter for about 5 – 7 minutes before anyone spoke to me. I was then asked if I would be dropping off my vehicle for the oil change or waiting. I told them I’d like to drop it off. Immediately, I was informed that it wouldn’t be ready until possibly 7:00 PM (it was 1:00 PM at the time). Being just hours before a snow storm was about to hit, I declined. I was amazed that the wait for an oil change was 6 hours. Why did it matter if I was dropping it off or waiting? If I had chose to wait, would they have done it for me sooner?
On the visit before this, I was the second person through the door when they opened at 7:00 AM and I had to wait one hour and ten minutes for an oil change. This seems to be a staffing issue… that is the reason I am usually given.
I’m disappointed that I can no longer get an oil change in a reasonable amount of time. What is disturbing is that my entire family brings all our vehicles here for their regular maintenance and tires.
I don’t think I’ll return. Time is money. The only reason I didn’t rate a single star is that I’m sentimental and I had been treated right for years up until these final two occurrences.

Wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else.

Mother in law came to visit her vehicle broke down at a nearby business. Made a call they sent someone out with a new battery switched it out and only charge for the battery.
