Peppermill Cafe The

It was time for lunch on a Saturday, and I did not want to do fast food while in the area. Noticed this local place and decided to give it a try.
One of the Saturday specials is chicken parmigiana, which includes the beverage and a salad. House salad was brought to the table quickly. Since my server told me the chicken parmigiana was a large portion, I had only a little of the salad. The server was attentive and asked if everything was ok with the salad since I didn’t eat much of it.
When I have ordered chicken parmigiana anywhere else, it is served as a chicken breast on top of spaghetti, sauce and cheese. Here the chicken was actually chopped into chicken pieces and not served as a chicken breast. Flavor was fine and certainly an ample portion, but in my opinion the dish shouldn’t have been labeled as chicken parmigiana/

The food was good and the portions were large. The service was great and the staff very pleasant

We had a very sweet and attentive waitress. The food was brought out quickly and it was good. The service was excellent. The location was closer to Archdale than High Point but that’s not a big deal. It’s the type of place where you could stop by and have a good breakfast before work.

The food is amazing. Everything your heart can desire they serve. Excellent customer service and great food at value price. I ate here for a sit in Business lunch. Returned the same evening for take out for dinner.

We wanted to try this restaurant this evening, we have been there several times for breakfast but not dinner. We went about 7:00 pm, seated about 20 ft from the Men’s room, which the door kept getting stuck, after several times and telling our waitress about it, we finally got the full view of a man standing in there using the bathroom with his back to us!!! Ridiculous… We told the cashier and her «excuse» (smartass I might add) was that the woman dishwasher was in there changing out paper towels, which was an excuse because my husband went in there and there were NO PAPERTOWELS, she was also the same person that stood beside of our table for about 20 mins talking to 2 EMS drivers talking up a storm to them with her large back side in our face, after walking away from their table we could tell by their face, they were not impressed she stood there so long talking to them, when you are at a restaurant you go to eat not to have a waitress talk to you about her life story. I also think Peppermill has very high price points for the style restaurant they are, $ 10.00 for a Meatball Sub??? These are prices of an upper scale restaurant not the «PepperMill» my entire family was not impressed with our meal, it wasn’t bad but not anything special that we would visit this restaurant again, I did enjoy their breakfast but because the way we were treated when we paid our ticket, I will NEVER visit this restaurant again. It cost $ 32.00 and we ordered 3 cheeseburgers — I could have went to Liberty’s for these prices and I will go there the next time! I enjoy all types of restaurants doesn’t matter, but when I dine, I do not care to see someone using the bathroom, or smelling the odor from the bathroom, seeing the wait staff acting as if this is some sort of family reunion, and seeing the waitresses phone being charged at the table behind us, just very unprofessional all the way around.

Wow. Always feels good to find a place that makes your money worth! I have never been here or heard of this place, but it is def. a go to place for good food. This place gives the true feel of a home cooked meal! I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and it was a flavorful, warm, hearty entrée, Came with a biscuit too. They do have an overwhelming menu with tons of food options, but look for the «meat of the day» to help make your decision. I recommend The Peppermill Café if you’re looking for some good food. The waitresses are nice too.

I just went there today for the first time with my mom because I wanted to try it out since they had some great pictures of their food on tripadvisor, sadly its not that way during breakfast time. I was hoping to have some greek style breakfast but I forgot where I was and its not the same as Wash DC or Miami, I am in west bumble @!#$ NC. So even with its great pictures that attracted me to this place the restaurant itself with some of the things other people have said about it. I was expecting a bit more of a chipper server for it being so early in the morning but she was just so so. The server was not bitter, she was not happy, she was just generic like their breakfast. I was hoping to have stumbled on a nice hole in the wall joint since it had decent reviews and some tasty looking delicacies but maybe its a bit more different after breakfast. So 2 stars for your breakfast menu/​service.

I have to say that I was pleasantly suprised by this place. Traveling through for work and starving I decided to stop in. I eat paleo so was excited to find a chicken a veggie dish that turned out great. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. I will be back when I am in the area.

Peppermill café is an old standby when my husband and I don’t feel like venturing very far for dinner and want to be guaranteed to have a decent meal. The food is good and affordable. The portions are quite large. I love their salads and he their sandwiches. We are always well attended to. Been meaning to drop by and try the breakfast sometime.

Recently on our first visit to Peppermill Café, we tried the steak and cheese subs. We loved the grilled onions and peppers which were crisp tender and fresh. The French fries were hot and plentiful. But the steak was similar to Steak-​Umms, with a rancid flavor. The bread tasted fair to good, but the ratio of meat to bread was remarkably insufficient. Service was lacking; all of the girls were busy rolling silverware and we were sort of ignored. We want to try the breakfast as recommended by other reviewers.

Another Greek owned and operated restaurant in the Triad that serves good, if not spectacular, food with a healthy, mediterranean bent, as well as many of the usual diner/​café items. Supposedly, part of the healthy aspect is they do not use fatback or bacon grease in any of their dishes, depending on olive oil.
This place is bright and clean, and well maintained, inside and out. They serve all three meals, with breakfast and lunch being particularly well attended. Breakfast items include the usual plates — eggs, breakfast meats, pancakes, french toast, grits, biscuits, etc. The omelets are three egg beauties, with some different ones, like Greek Feta Cheese, Chicken Florentine, and an Hawaiian Chicken omelet with pineapple. There are also Breakfast Wraps, some with the same Greek influence as the omelets.
Their lunch/​dinner menu offers a wide array of choices — from meat & 2 or 3 daily specials, sandwiches, salads, burgers, hot dogs, pasta — many the usual suspects, but a twist or two — more wraps, and an offering of Pork Tenders which is very nice — they have Chicken Tenders, if you wish to be boring. The Hot Dog here is not one I recommend.
Entrees will run into the $ 6.50 — $ 8 range. Portions are very nice, and the service is good.

Pretty average. Basically, they do what they say they do. It’s diner-​y home-​y food.
Big portions, pretty good service, passable breakfast food. Personally, I’d rather do IHOP (as sad as that is), but I wouldn’t object to going here again.

This place advertises quite a bit in all the information handed out to the folks attending the furniture shows. Don’t fall for it. We headed over to Peppermill after the trade show ended and were too tired to head elsewhere when we got here and saw what it was. A glorified Denny’s but with a bit less attention paid to keeping everything clean. Go here only if you are planning on eating with several large, hungry and not overly picky friends.

Amazing Food. Great customer service. Large portions. If I lived in the area I would put on like 15 lbs from eating here.
