Delicious pizza, good choice of fresh toppings and a good price. Pizza size a little small if you get the meal deal, but it comes with a salad and drink so all in all a good value.

Very good pizza. Lots of choices. Fairly quick preparation. I like how the pizza isn’t covered in grease like Sir Pizza. Haven’t had a bad experience yet in at least 25 visits.

This was a great find. Even though it had been here for a few months. I just thought another pizza place. But to my surprise its way more. It has all fresh ingredients awesome staff. The food taste amazing too. This is a great place and I plan on visiting a lot more!

I wanted to try something new but tasty and boy did I get it right!!! After mulling on over several different specialty pizzas or creating my own, I decided to go with the Big Max(pepperoni, italian sausage, meatballs, bacon, cheese and sauce) on a whole wheat crust. While deciding on my pizza, I noticed the menu had each topping, sauce, and crust that was gluten free labeled. The tomato basil pizza sauce was very flavorful. Toppings were plentiful and tasty. Overall, it was an excellent pizza for the value!

I can’t believe I just discovered this place last month, especially when an employee said they opened sometime in 2015? It is a bit separated from the heart of the Palladium, closer to the new Belk’s. My favorite part is the variety of pizza sauces available to bake with. I recommend the pesto and garlic olive oil. If you just want a small, it is ample enough to be filling, but not large enough to force yourself to consume leftovers the rest of the weekend. Don’t forget the cannolis for dessert! I suggest Uncle Maddio’s stay open until 11:00 or midnight, especially weekends.

Disappointed. First indication was empty parking lot. Second was small personal pizza size they tried to pass off as medium pizza. Third was overpriced food. Final nail in coffin was bland taste. I’ve had stale bread that had better flavor than that crust. I don’t recommend

My husband and I had lunch for the first time at the Uncle Maddio’s off Wendover Avenue in the Palladium area today. We weren’t sure of what to expect, but we were so pleasantly surprised! Our lunch was fresh, tasty, and delicious. The manager was very solicitous and came around to everyone’s tables to see how we were doing. Since we hadn’t been in before, the manager told us how the ordering was done when we first arrived which was a good thing, as there are so many choices. We had the special which consists of a 6 inch pizza with 3 toppings, your choice of soup or salad and a drink. You choose everything to go on your pizza with extensive selections in each category, and then it is made on the spot for you and brought to your table.(There are several choices of cheese which are included with the basic pizza dough that you choose, and then you get three additional choices for your toppings.) We had two very different pizzas as a result of our choices, and both of them were delicious. The ingredients are fresh and superior to most offered at other pizza restaurants. We both chose the Greek salad and were not disappointed. The dressing that comes with it is delicious! Cannolis(Italian pastry) were offered as a dessert choice, so we decided to try one. Glad that we did — it was delicious. This was a real surprise, as most cannolis I have tried in the south just aren’t the«real thing.» For a moment there, I thought I was back in Brooklyn! I think this restaurant opened about a half year ago, and probably had some opening pangs, based on the early reviews that are posted here. I can definitely say that all concerns have been addressed. The one thing I would mention is that if you have never been to a restaurant that uses this type of concept before, go early so that you can figure out how to order. There is a lot to choose from and you want to give yourself time, the first time you go, to figure out how things work. We look forward to trying out what is probably a million different combinations of toppings on our future pizzas at Uncle Maddio’s!

I think this concept is absolutely fabulous, the product has a contemporary twist. I grew up on Long Island from an Italian culture and I’m tired of the same old saucy pepperoni pizza, especially down here when you have a bunch of Italians off the boat making a pizza when they laid bricks in Italy, I have been to Italy and pizza is different, also in New York pizza is not as big as some of these palladium pizza places make it to be. This place has a great pizza if you have a good mind to build the flavor. Remember… you are creating your taste. I usually get a pizza with the garlic-olive oil sauce, goat cheese, spinach and Portabella mushrooms topped with a little bit of mozzarella cheese to hold everything down. Then when I get home I drizzle truffle oil on top, and it’s a «DADGUM» good pizza

We tried the pizza for the first time, although the dough was tasty everything else was sooo greasy/oily. The carry out box was soaked that I had to use a paper towel to blot — did not care for it at all.

This is the second Maddios I have eaten at and like the other one, this one does not disappoint. The dining area was clean, the staff courteous and efficient and the pizza hot, tasty and full of flavor. Much like the other reviews state, this is a build your own pizza place which the equivalent to it’s Tex-Mex cousin Moe’s. The same concept here but, with pizza. Others have suggested that the ordering process can be cumbersome, which is entirely subjective. I do agree that it can be time-consuming but, only because there are many choices of toppings and if you are not sure of what you want, it could take a while. Coke is the anchor beverage here and they have all the usual drink choices including beer if desired. The pizza itself was not a disappointment at all. As with the other Maddios I’ve been to, the pie was very good. The fact that I made it the way I want it made it even better. All things considered, for me this place is great.

No, no, no Uncle Maddio’s. So many things went wrong during this visit. We go in to give this place another shot and were really hoping things had improved over time; they hadn’t. I ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza again but this time asked for extra sauce(because last time I couldn’t even taste it), less red onions(because a handful of red onions on an individual pizza is way too much), and no cilantro. While making the pizza the guy throws a large handful of red onions on top. I tell him that I requested very few red onions. He picks some off and throws them right back in the onion container to be put onto another pizza! What?! No! We also ordered one of those yummy warm cookies they offer. The pizza came to the table… covered in cilantro! I told her that I ordered no cilantro. It took nearly 20 minutes to get the pizza back. During that time the manager, who was just walking around the whole time and not really doing much of anything, asked me if I was the one waiting on my pizza. Clearly I was the one waiting on my pizza as there were only 4 other tables in the joint that had folks at it and they were all eating their pizza. It finally came back and this one was then covered in red onions and had little to no BBQ sauce on it. Really?! So all I tasted was dough and red onions. I couldn’t do it. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he had«stepped out.» What?! In the middle of dinner time when mistakes are being made and he «stepped out?!» Oh! I forgot to mention… those yummy warm cookies… the ones that last time got their own plate because they are nearly $ 3…yea, they were a little bigger than an Oreo and were stone cold. Tapped those things on a plate and was a bit worried I may break it. Guarantee with love my butt. No thank you.

This is like Subway for Pizza! Great lunch deal and you get to choose 3 toppings for your 6 inch pizza! Good place to get lunch!

My wife and I have had lunch here twice. The first time was exceptional. Little custom made pizzas assembled with care. They have a large variety of toppings and the meal deal includes 3 toppings plus soup or salad and drink. I usually get soup and that day it was chili. It was very good, not too hot and seasoned well with good consistency. Staff is very polite and reminded me of the decorum of a Chick fil a employee. Second lunch was not as good. My wife ordered a Caesar salad with cold chicken, but down at the register was a Sante Fe salad with hot chicken. She elected to take the salad, but no apologies or discounts were offered. The soup that day was a broccoli cheese. It was runny and bland, largely inedible.

Good atmosphere, quick service, customizable pizzas. Good prices. Have been a few times, and everything was tasty. USB /Electrical outlets are a nice touch in the booths in case you’re running low on juice.

Not bad! I did not encounter any of the service issues or bland pizza every other review so far has mentioned. The staff did a good job of keeping the line moving despite the indecisive customers ahead of me and had pleasant attitudes. My mom and I ordered the Peachy Keen specialty pizza. The crust was crispier than I like, but not burned, and that’s always something I can ask to be adjusted on my next visit. The flavors were very good. The basil, cheese, peach, and vinaigrette made for a tasty combination. I was a little confused when I received my pizza with no plates, but quickly figured out that they were at the drink station with all the other self-service options. I’ll definitely be back to try out other menu items. I would recommend giving this place a shot.

YUMYUMMYUMMM! Everything about this place is great. The food was EXCELLENT, the place was clean, the prices were okay, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The only problem is that the lids do not fit the cups but that did not cause me much trouble at all. I highly highly highly recommend!

Had high hopes but was disappointed. We created our own XL3 topping pizza by requesting steak, onion and mushrooms on traditional crust. At first, we liked it but after the first slice there was an odd after taste from the crust that we didn’t really like. It’s possible they gave us the wheat or gluten free crust by mistake but we probably won’t go back to try it again.

This new pizza joint is a franchise operation of a growing chain that started in Atlanta in 5 or 6 years ago, and has grown rapidly in the SEUSA. They offer 3 crust choices(traditional, whole wheat, or gluten free), 6 different sauces, and 45 toppings to choose from. The founder, Matt Andrews, was one of the founders of Moes’ Southwestern, which helps explain the process for ordering and receiving your food. You start down a short cafeteria style line building your meal(pizza, sandwich, or salad) as you go, watching the actual construction, and supposedly you have the option of tweaking it — a little more cheese, please — that sort of thing. The crust are already prepared, and are simply pulled out from a stack as you start the process — no hand tossing here. Besides building your own pizza or salad, there are 10+ Specialty pizza choices, 4 specialty salad options, and 4 sandwiches. Depending on the size, the build your own ranges in price from $ 7.99 for a small, $ 12.99 for a medium, to $ 16.99 for an XL — apparently they simply have no Large. These prices entitle you to 3 topings, with additional topping available for 50 cents to $ 1, depending on the size of your pizza. You move down the line to finish your order, pay, grab a cup for your drink, and a number on a stand for your table — your meal will be brought to you. They use a high heat oven, so the baking time is somewhat shorter than a traditional pizza — our Medium Pizza was out in a little over 10 minutes. Our medium pizza($ 12.99) with pepperoni, green pepper, and extra cheese was not a bad pizza at all — the cheese was nice and stringy, the pepperoni tasty and plentiful, and the green pepper fresh tasting, with a little crunch to it. The crust(we chose the traditional) is thin, in fact, probably as thin as any you will encounter in other pizza joints in the area. For out tastes, it was very nice, and would have been near perfect had it cooked a touch less. We also tried their Italian Sandwich($ 7.99), which come on a thick, ciabatta type roll. The meats and cheese for this sandwich are preassembled(like Subway), with the other items added as it moves down the line. There is not a lot of filling to thiis sandwich, and in this type of roll, the real taste of this type of sandwich is rather muted. Probably would not order again. The place is brand new, bright and clean, and basically functional — there is not a lot of comfort in the seating. The music here blares loudly, and incessantly, and is as annoying as any restaurant«background» music I’v encountered — makes Rody’s and Jake’s seem quite by comparison. The entire ordering process can be time consuming and cumbersome if there is any length to the line in front of you, and especially if some in front of you have kids that are ordering, or simply are confused by the process and the choices. The service is a little disquieting and a little inconsistent — some are a little too intense(do it by the manual intense) with the«Served With Love» motto, others are obviously still learning their roles, and the line will only move at the speed of the slowest component, whether on the employee side or the customer. We liked the thin crust pizza, but the environment and the process is definitely not a favorite. Not sure a return visit is in the cards.
