Being from the Jersey/Philly area we were super impressed with the pizza! Half was sausage, the other half onions and eggplant! If you love eggplant, try it in pizza… it’s a game changer! Will definitely be going back. Also tried the Philly chicken cheese steak(just onions… we don’t do the mayo, green peppers, etc. – at least not in Philly). It was good but it was so small, like a stick of salami. Maybe it was so tiny because it was the daily special? It was very tasty, I’d hope a regular has more inside than the 8“special.

Lived in NY for years and love good pizza so we tried this place as they say they served NY style pizza. It has potential, but needs flavor and better cheese. The crust had that heavy yeast flavor I’m not a fan of though it was cooked crunchy like the thin crust we like. Crust is just as important as the toppings so that needs some work. The sauce lacked spices, some basil would help, and the cheese is the rubbery mozzarella that will choke you if you don’t cut it up small. That’s the cheap cheese that doesn’t digest well. You can get it cheap and in huge bags so that may be the deal. We also ordered ham and cheese calzone. Same deal there, dipping marinara was the flavorless pizza sauce, ham was sparse and the cheese overly chewy like the pizza. Hope they change it up because it has potential. Throw some spices in the mix and use better cheese and we’ll be back.

Hands down, one of the best pizza places ever! It’s not fancy, but a really good simple pizza(which is sometimes the best). The slices are large and thin(cover a paper plate) and the sauce is very flavorful. I like to order mine crispy, so it’s a little brown on top :)

Recently learned about this gem in a Unilocal Newsletter. Been there twice and will definitely be back. Huge slices of authentic NY Pizza. Friendly staff. I’ve had plemty of slices from places named Ray’s in NYC, but this beats them all(cheesy slice-filled) hands down!

I’m allergic to gluten & they always go above and beyond to make sure my pizza is safe. It’s the little things like getting fresh toppings and new gloves and utensils; it’s so appreciated! The GF crust is really good & there are lots of options! It’s fast and convenient and yummy! Great service every time too(:

If you’re looking for authentic NY pizza in the Triad, this is the place. There’s a difference in saying you serve NY pizza and actually delivering on it. This place always comes through with a good pie: crispy crust, good sauce, good cheese. Be warned, slices are huge.

Really friendly staff, but I found the pizza to be fairly mediocre. My pizza standards are quite high, though. The pepperoni slice I bought for lunch was gigantic, but size doesn’t matter much if the flavor isn’t there. I didn’t bother eating the crust, as it was pretty bland. Stay away from their garlic knots — they’re expensive and relatively flavorless. What kind of garlic knot has no parmesan or garlic butter on top? Madness. My quest for the best pizza in Triad continues! This certainly isn’t it.

There are lots of pizza choices in this area but this is the best! Delicious pizza, nice people that know what they’re doing and it’s fast and fresh.

Order the«green one» — they’ll know what you mean. It’s like a supreme with lots of meat and veggies. Also, this is where I learned that 16″ is really quite big for a pizza… ordering too much is pretty easy, but hey — then you have leftover pizza for the next day!

This is definitely one of the best pizza places in High Point. Although their slices are large, the flavors and texture are authentic and just the way I like it!

Best pizza in High Point. Thin crust, good ratio of sauce to cheese, and just the right seasoning. This is the closest thing you’ll find… if you like New York style pizza. I also like their subs… like the chicken Parmesan sub.

Pretty darn good NY style pizza here. The sliced Italian sausage was a plus, but I didn’t much care for the taste of it. I’ll go with a pepperoni and maybe extra cheese next time. Crust was about right. Delivery is also a feather in their cap.

Update two years after my first review. As a NY Pizza snob, this 4 star rating is based on a North Carolina scale. One of the better places to get«decent» pizza down here. The slices are very big, but at times are soggy and soupy. Not firm at all, so to keep the cheese from sliding off it really requires you eat with a knife and fork or in the classic«fold over» fashion. To the contrary, they make the best Sicilian pizza down here and you can get it by the slice. The lunch special is a good deal… two slices and a drink for under seven bucks. Their sauce is very good. Owner is a good guy and very nice people behind the counter.

For almost two years, I’ve been frequenting another local pizzeria, which is really good. But people have kept saying to me, «You gotta try Marozzi’s.» I did, and I have to say: Marozzi’s is even better. The pizza was great, the staff was helpful and polite, and the place is clean. I ordered two pies for my group. The first pizza could have stood to be a little more browned on top, but it was still delicious. The second looked perfect. Marozzi’s is a little more expensive than the pizza place I usually go to, but I’m sure I will return, as my whole family agreed they preferred Marozzi’s.

I went back on July 3rd2014. All I can say is STILL awesome pizza and service. Want to know how awesome? We were meeting local friends at Marozzi’s on our return trip to NC. The owner, knowing that my Wife and I already ordered, brought our friend’s the first of their pizzas. Not missing a beat he tapped me on the shoulder and welcomed me back. I had not been to Marozzi’s in 18 months! As a side note, I noticed that Mario’s took the spot previously occupied by Cici’s… guess if you can’t lead, follow.

Color me, not impressed. This place is the spitting image of Mario’s Pizza that you see all over town. The menu’s are practically the same and the quality is just as low. The folks taking the orders were not the most borderline rude as if me giving them money for their greasy bland pizza was inconvenient to them. Look, I get the appeal of the New York style pizza. But as someone who has been to NY several times, the size of the pizza isn’t the only thing that is suppose to be NY about the pizza. The cheesiness, the robustness of the sauce, and the presence of some garlic… that is NY style pizza… along with the slices the size of my head. No interest in going back.

First trip here was for lunch yesterday, and I was pleased with the pizza, for the most part, anyway. The crust is the thinnest in the area, imo, and very much the NY style I favor. It was cooked perfectly(no burn on the bottom), and the flavor and texture were excellent. The tomato sauce is also very, very good — nice flavor, limited sweetness. The toppings are somewhat sparse compared with other pizzerias(like Burke Street, e.g.), and the pepperoni is a little thin on flavor, but overall, this was a good pie. The cost for the 14″ NY Style with extra cheese, pepperoni, green peppers, and onions was $ 15.25, competitively priced. The 12″ Italian Hero($ 6.95) was just ok — way too much oil & vinegar(the bread was totally soaked through), and it contains prosciutto, which I don’t care for on a sandwich. The FF($ 2.50) were ok, nice potato flavor, but like so, so many restaurants, they simply do not salt them directly out of the fryer — more salt later is generally useless. The service here is at the least, laid-back — a call in order of a pizza, hero, and FF, took between 35 and 40 minutes — no land speed records here. But, the pizza is nice, especially if thin crust and tasty sauce is what you want. I’ll come back for that, and maybe try a different sub, and hold the oil & vinegar. The interior is bright, roomy, modern in style. — well laid out. Nice setup for lunch or dinner.
