Just wanted a quick sandwich for lunch on Super Bowl Sunday in anticipation of a big party later. The guys working the counter were friendly and the service was prompt. It didn’t take them long at all to get our sandwich order ready, probably 5 minutes. I ordered the firehouse club, but I gotta be honest… it sucked. Lacked any real flavor. Turkey, ham, pepper jack cheese and bacon plus deli mustard should have a flavor. There was none. Not really sure how that is possible, but it happened. Seems more like a sourcing issue than anything the staff could have done. Just need better meats and cheeses.

I wanted to like this place, but I left hungry, a fireman should not leave hungry. Simply not enough sandwich for everyone that joined us. Good ingredients, good bread, and a pickle. However, when it cost more(or at least provides less) than most the sub places in town, you feel let down. Our order was wrong, simply a case of a new/bad cashier. They were quick to fix, but the sandwiches were small all around. Lunch is key to a good day, this place let me and all my buddies down. Hopefully they beef up their sandwiches in the future, but I probably won’t be back.

Awesome Italian and New York Steamer subs. Soft and juicy. I haven’t strayed too far from these choices because they are so good. You’ll stand in line, order, and they’ll take your name. When your food is prepared, a staff member will bring you your dish. I’ve head their chili is fantastic. We personally like the wide assortments of destroy your taste buds sauces.

I normally really like Firehouse but not from this location. I went in around 8:15pm on a Tuesday. The employees were already getting ready to close. They close at 9:00pm. I stood there for a good 5 minutes before the girl took my order. She is very rude while taking it like she was mad I was there. I waited about 10 minutes before I actually got my sandwich. When I went to eat it, the bread was so wet I couldn’t hold it. The meat was falling out along with all the toppings. I asked for no lettuce and onion on my sandwich. When I opened it, it had a ton of lettuce but luckily no onion. I will go to Firehouse again… just not this one! If you are looking for a good sandwich around this area, go to Jimmy Johns or McAlisters instead.

Pretty much what I expected from fast food. The picture is not at all like the product. The sandwich I got was almost wet from the steam, and looked like it was tossed in a bowl before being placed in a bun. I’m willing to try almost any new eatery once, but, face it, fast food means fast buck for the owners now days. I came, I sampled, I won’t need to come back. Subway is closer and«just as good».

Good food. Not sure about the staff. They don’t seem to excited to be there … The wait wasn’t too long… but longer than I expected for there to only be three of us in there at the time.

I had only been to this establishment once before, and today I remembered why. My sister and I were greeted, and the lady behind the cash register was nice and helpful. But when the person delivering the subs called out my sister’s name, he brought over two sandwiches, mumbled what they were, and them walked away. Well, looking at them, I knew they were both wrong, because we had ordered subs with no onion or tomato, and both subs had onion and tomato. I walked them up to the counter, where the delivery guy had to ask someone else what to do, before he realized these were for someone else. When our correct subs finally came out, they were just okay. A slight step up from subway, but way more expensive. The turkey bacon ranch lacked any kind of real flavor(real turkey, real cheese) and there was only one strip of bacon. Not worth the money, in my opinion.

I walked in at 8:55 and got greeted with a smile. I asked when they closed, they said in 5 mins, I wanted to leave, but the staff assured me they could make my order. The staff on 7⁄22 went above and beyond and for that I am grateful.

Best Italian sub in town, hands down! Make sure to add their special sauce sitting on the counter, a bit of ketchup, and you will likely want to upgrade that medium to a large! They add their own Italian sauce as well, which makes the sandwich, even without my other condiment suggestion. Make sure to get your becerage from the 21st century Coke machine with more than twenty flavors of various soft drinks. More thumbs up to the fantastic service I receive at every visit. Staff is always smiling, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Your sandwich is always delivered to your table. Outdoor seating is also available when the weather is nice. One last reminder: don’t forget to complete the Firehouse survey located on your receipt for a shot to win $ 500!

I’ve been to a few Firehouse Subs with great experiences. Especially the one on Battleground Ave. It’s great. And I’ve been to this one months ago and really liked it. But I just went in there for a quick dinner with my daughter last Wednesday and it was not good at all! The service was SOOOOOSLOOOOOOW. The staff just didn’t seem to care and were working at a snails pace. And then the salad I got(Chief’s Salad I think) was just not good. Tasted like it had been in the fridge too long. I think there must’ve not been a manager on duty or the owner really needs to make a change. Sorry, Firehouse.

I received a Firehouse Subs gift card and took a coworker here for lunch. Wow! What slow service!!! A 1 hour lunch easily turned into a 2 hour lunch. I could not believe how long it took for us to get our food and yet they had over a half dozen people behind the counter. I went back weeks later, just before noon, and the place was almost empty, yet it still took over 20 mins to get a single sandwich, for over $ 8!!! I can’t figured out their process — they put bags of meat and cheese in a steamer, then pull the hot bag out and hold it over a receptacle to drain off excess liquid. Then after having moved your bread all over their workspace, they finally make your sandwich. Strange! Sandwich was good, but not 20 mins and $ 8 good. I mentioned to the sandwich makers that I had hoped the sandwich handed to me wasn’t mine since I had seen all the hands that touched the bread and all the places it had travelled. All I got was blank stares. After taking their online survey and sending feedback to this store over a month ago, still no response. I guess they are making enough from the crowd at Friday lunch … but not me again!

Since writing this review new management has taken over. The review below reflects my service at the time they were under the older management. I have upgraded my rating to reflect the new management and the service since. Had you asked me a few years ago I would have given this place a 5 star review. However, over the years the staff has changed and I cannot speak highly of the owner, Ann. You used to be able to go into the location and it was clean and the staff was very upbeat and eager to help you. I was even surprised that one worker recognized my significant other and me out one night and approached us for a friendly talk. It seems over the years this place has gone down hill. I cannot tell you how many times I have placed an order for a chicken sandwich to only find it is turkey when I get home. This has happened about five times. My significant other mentioned it a few months ago and the worker said there is not a difference in the turkey and chicken! I beg to differ! If it is the same why sell two different types? I have tasted the turkey but prefer the chicken. The last few times I have been in there the wait time has been very long. There are about 4 employees but only one making the sandwiches. The others were not on break as they might be when they sit down for a bite themselves. I think the most annoying thing is waiting for the food and having to hear the employees complain about the work schedule or what they are or are not getting back on their taxes. I know the partition is rather high but that does not mean the patrons cannot hear you. It just seems that a few years ago the staff cared a lot more and was willing to be helpful and friendly. Now they seem to dread their jobs and seem like making a sandwich is the last thing they want to do. Sadly we do not frequent the location as much as we feel they do not care like they used it. When they did the food was better. I would have recommended this place highly years ago but today I cannot say I would. Not with the headache or being told what you order is the same as another sandwich. BTW, they never apologized for all the wrong sandwiches they made, only said they were the same, very unprofessional.

I use to be a regular customer until today. The staff has gotten so lazy. They love to take your money but trying to get your food was so bad. What usually takes 5 mins to get service took more like 20 mins. The staff at this place is doing this business a bad service. I will not be going back to this place anymore.
