They along with their co-​conspirator shell station down the street have been price colluding for years ripping off people stupid enough to pay their prices.
They need to go out of business once and for all. They have no integrity and need to leave highland park.

Untrustworthy and unskilled mechanics — The only thing they are good at, is ripping you off. STAY AWAY!
Here was my experience:
I asked Danny to provide a quote for a 100k mile service (new brakes pads, rotors, flush transmission, transfer case, replace serpentine belt, replace bearings) on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and they provided me a quote of $ 1450.
While the work was in progress, Danny phoned and said that I didn’t really need to do the rear bearings — I thought great; as that item was about $ 200 in the original quote and would now be able to save that amount. So I assumed the final bill would be around $ 1250 — they seem so friendly and trustworthy, right?
Conveniently the final bill for all the work above (minus the bearings) crept back up to $ 1490. Shady, but wasn’t worth my time to fight until:
A few weeks later, I tried to use the emergency parking brake the first time since being service, however, the parking brake did not work.
I returned with the car, Mike & Danny apologized and said that should have been re-​calibrated during the rotor/​pad replacement. They tried adjusting the rear brakes for 1.5 hours but the parking brake still did not work. They came up with a variety of excuses as to why it still wasn’t working — none of which made sense and made me believe they didn’t know what they were doing. After scratching their heads, they decided I needed new brake shoes for the parking brake to catch.
On a 3^rd visit, they spent 2.5 hours replacing the shoes. The parking brake still did not work.
At this point I was done with Highland Park, BP — I took the Jeep to Liberty and the brake was fixed there for $ 250. Liberty also confirmed in writing that the previous work was done in error and poor craftsmanship. Mike and Danny eventually repaid me for the Liberty bill after extended discussion.
Bottom Line:
STAY AWAY from this place. They do not know what they are doing and will overcharge for shoddy «work.» They appear friendly and helpful but it’s all a façade. Knowing what I know at this point, I wouldn’t let them put air in my bicycle’s tires. I seriously question the validity of the rest of the work they did on my Jeep.
Please benefit from my bad experience by taking your car elsewhere.

This is the type of place that, apparently, takes advantage of you because you’re only there out of desperation. They’re not your local mechanics, honest ave ethical. They’re there to charge as much as possible for lack luster results.
My main issue is I recently brought my car in. Any legit and reputable mechanic I’ve ever gone to has never, ever charged extra for diagnosis if they fixed the car. Thus place did. $ 100 extra for nothing. I’ve been to plenty of places, diagnostics is just part of the general labor as long as they fix the vehicle (vs just having a diagnostics done with no repair.)
I was desperate and stuck so this was the only place open and around. They took advantage of that and milked me for everything.
Untrustworthy is the only word I can politely use to describe this place.

Mike and Jeff are the guys working this place and they are the most dependable car mechanics around. They’ve been recommended to me by nearly everyone I know and I have recently had a service here. They were attentive, honest and accountable. They called to give me frequent updates on how service was coming along. They were always able to be reached easily. They were honest and ethical.
You can bargain shop and skim a few bucks off the price somewhere else… you may also not get a great service somewhere else. Or, you can come here, pay a fair price, and know that your car is in great hands!
