Pleasant service. Odd the rice did not come with palak paneer but I was actually grateful I got to pick my carbs. I ordered a small rice, and my friend ordered garlic naan, so we shared. He got a chicken dish that looked amazing. He devoured it, and it was rather inexpensive. We were just there for lunch, but will be back for a larger dinner. And apparently they have breakfast options too!

The minute you enter the restaraunt, the enticing smell makes you fall in love. After my first dinner, I felt rejuvenated. The fresh and exotic spices, the consistency; I’m just in awe. Great addition and hopefully they will branch out in the near future.

The best Indian food I’ve ever had(even though technically it’s Pakistani/Kashmiri. Relaxed but sleek atmosphere. Super friendly family run. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing place. Cozy, delicious, and great servers. Food was delicious, we got the foods in reasonable time against others reviewed. All foods can be cooked spicy, so if you like spicy, ask them :) All Rutgers students can get 10% discount with valid student ID on order $ 15 or more! I’ll definitely go again!

Indian food leave a lot to be desired. Chicken was dry. Flavors were off. Definitely not a favorite of mine.

Couple of things about my recent visit at the place : 1– Really small and cute place, with a lot of artsy stuff and looks in it. 2-Staff is very helpful, service is good and place is clean. 3-Now finally coming to the food, one thing whenever you go to any ethnic food place is to look for ethnic people, if they are sitting there and eating, it means place is legit. At this place, mostly students and local people were eating. I personally think, food was fresh but vey average in terms of taste or maybe barely average. I tried couple of things and all of them were barely average. Place is good for people who don’t know what Pakistani food is about, their Qorma wasn’t even looking like Qorma, beef seekh kabab was too thick and not cooked from inside. I would give the place maybe 3 or 2.5 in terms of food. I drove almost 18 – 20 mins just to try the food, but won’t be going back again.

Great home cooked Pakistani food in central NJ. Had the peshawari karahai and my wife had chicken keema. Both excellent. Must try. Will be coming back.

This is my second time ordering from this place, I loved it in the beginning, my experience was amazing the first time I had woman driver who delivered my food to my door as it should be, I always tip because I worked in a restaurant for 10yrs of my life and I respect the method of tipping, in the beginning when I called no one demand me to tip or had to tell me tipped because common sense it’s the right thing to do. now the second time which was today I called and order and everything was fine until the man on the phone said oh you have to tip your driver and I said not a problem. Which I find it so rude, so anyway my food gets here and the driver makes me walk down stairs because he’s fat and he doesn’t want to walk up the stairs like the way the girl did the first time I ordered, he tells me you have to tell the caller when You call in that you want your driver to walk to the door and deliver your food. which I’ve never heard that bulllllllshit in my life!!! He was just fat and he didn’t want to walk, the first time I ordered I didn’t have to ask the girl to deliver to my door she walked because she knew common sense it’s the right thing to do!!! but I give him his tip in the middle of the street because he couldn’t even park right either because I’m sure his fat lazy self needs needs it more than me. I will never order from this place again because of that experience and the fact he wrote on the receipt to add tip. Very unprofessional!!!

The food is delicious. Also, the delivery was fast so the food is warm. I also want to say, they would normally not deliver to the area where I work, but since there was some confusion with Grub Hub they did honor the order. The woman who delivered and sent me a voicemail to let me know was extremely pleasant. Will definitely go for pick-up again!

Unfortunately the air conditioning may have been broken when we had lunch here. I had the meat & veggie lunch meal with chicken tikka masala and the okra, which came with rice and naan. The food is spicier & more oily than typical Indian food. It was a good work place lunch spot with attentive service.

Came here on a Friday night with seven people in our party. Little did we know how tiny the place was… Food was pretty good. not spectacular, but not bad either. I’m Pakistani, so I’ve grown up eating really spicy flavorful food. The food at Indus grill was not as flavorful as Pakistani food is, so maybe they’re trying to cater to the Western palette? Their mixed chicken platter, chicken tikka, and naan were very good but everything else was mediocre. I’d say the food itself is a 3 stars and the service was a 5.

One word. Microwave. I came in at 845pm on Friday — the food itself was just not good. Ordered: Peshawari chicken karahi — overly sweet and too much tomato, today I learned that Peshawari chefs uses Spaghettios as a base for cooking chicken; chicken tikka — we saw it go into the microwave, that’s a grilled item, pre grilled and nuked to a hard, unchewable substance; Bindi masala — okra– again very sweet… but good enough, I ate to my fill. The nan and rice were great. Bottom line, I think the food was cooked to a level that an average non culinary mom would make for home… so, it wasn’t careless… but careful enough in the wrong, trying too hard way. The microwaving, man, I was born and raised in America… We mic everything — but shouldn’t be done at a restaurant, named a grill at that! Those microwaves were running the entire time we were there… catch em on your narrow path to the restroom. The server and presumably owner or manager totally ignored my statement that the food was hard and we decided not to eat it. Food don’t need to be great, but it should be wholesome — and flavorful if Indian or Pakistani. I wish success for this local small business.

So delicious! Has multiple vegetarian options! From the first bite, we were hooked! The food is great, so flavorful! And the dessert was incredible! On a student budget though, the price makes this place reserved for more special of occasions. It is a small restaurant, but it feels like a little family restaurant, which is adorable. The service was friendly and nice, the servers make good recommendations and describe the meals in a very helpful way, so if you are not familiar with the items on the menu, they will help. Highly recommended!

Wow — a fantastic little find in Highland Park! We stopped last night and had the chicken tikka masala, daal makani, rice, samosa, and some naan. It was terrific and the service was great — we completely devoured every drop. All that and two cans of soda for about $ 32?! What a deal — and what neat little place! We will return!

I ordered delivery(which was free!) and received it quickly. It was delicious! I ordered Samosas, zeera rice, and bhindi masala. The spice for the bhindi was mild for middle eastern/Indian/Pakistani food, so if you are used to something very spicy, ask for it spicier. The sauces with the samosas are also very good and amazing with the very spicy samosas. and my meal was completely vegan! So happy to have this restaurant in Highland Park!
