Olga’s Day Spa

I’ve been to Olga’s twice so far for a massage, once with Anna and another with Sandra. I loved BOTH of my massages. The massage room being in the basement actually worked for me because it’s tucked away from street noise. The ambient lighting and music set the perfect environment for my nap time.
I haven’t tried any other services but may try the pedicure soon.
The reason for 4 stars versus 5 is that some of front desk staff are not very friendly. Each time I walked in, I got an «are you lost» look from at least one person, and the checkout process seems hurried.
All in all, I’ll return because Sandra and Anna are awesome!

I came to Olga’s day spa for a waxing appointment. I had a good experience the first time with a very nice lady (I do not remember her name). The second time was just awful. I had an appointment with Christina and I think she had no idea was she doing. First, she was 20 minutes late (acceptable, someone call me 15 minutes before the appointment) and then, she did such a bad job that I was in pain all day. She was not able to pull off wax properly and hurt me so bad, and then, she complained that it was my fault and I should appointment more often. Even though I am interested in their facials, I don’t think I will be back.

The manager contacted me shortly after my first review for a complimentary massage to make up for the customer service. I thought that was very generous of her and decided to give it a second chance. I received a wonderful massage from Anna. She’s terrific. I definitely give her 5 stars. The reason for the 3 stars is that the massage room is located in the basement and it was really annoying hearing all the footsteps. Every time I felt like I was drifting off I was immediately disturbed by the ceiling creaking. Not the best place to have a massage room.

My feet take a beating, friends. From running for leisure to barefoot running after my dog who decided to have a Bueller’s Day Off due to an open backyard gate, my feet were looking not so hot. I was way, way overdue for a pedicure. Good thing I had a spare bit of time while in Highland Park & Olga’s came to the rescue!
Even though I walked through the door just after 5pm and Olga’s closes at 6pm, the staff was incredibly welcoming and brought me right back for a pedicure. The spa itself is lovely and pristine. Polish wise they have a whole host of options on two walls, including very recent colors from OPI.
My regular pedi ($ 29*) was just what my sad feet needed and the tech did an excellent job with my teeny tiny toenails. The skin on my heels can no longer cause injury and my toes look fabulous. Thanks, Olga’s!

A beautiful spa! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Had my skin reviewed with Dawn which was a great way to see if my skin routine was adequate or needs improving. Try the keratin hand treatment. Monthly deals are worth checking out.

Notice: Olga retired and one of her colleagues took over the spa. From what I can tell, she is keeping to the same high standards as Olga did.
Unfortunately, a lot of the staff left at the turnover. So right now she has a small staff, but you can still get good service. I went in on a spur of the moment for a wax. Susan (the new owner) sent out an email to describe how good, safe, sterile waxing should be done. I figured it showed she didn’t skimp to save a few bucks.
I happened to walk in and get an appointment right away. I’m guessing that will change as people start coming back and giving this place a try.
They also have some good deals going on. I walked out with a $ 10 off coupon for my next treatment. Not bad…

My husband made appointments for me with Natalia for a manicure and Valentina for a facial.
Natalia:
Natalia gave me the best manicure I have ever had, and days later it still looks perfect. She chose a color for me and I have gotten a lot of compliments on it.
Valentina:
When I have had facials before, I left with my sensitive skin looking redder and without improvement. Valentina made my skin soft and radiant, and days later, it keeps looking better and better. She recommended an enzyme facial treatment. I was a little hesitant because my skin is so sensitive, but I’m so glad I trusted her. My skin looks better than it has in years.
Valentina and Natalia:
Aside from their qualities as professionals, I enjoyed conversing with these ladies. I learned a lot from both of them outside of the typical beauty salon conversation. This was a Saturday morning very well spent. I will definitely be back to see these two ladies.
The interior of the spa could use a bit of an update, but the services were so good I didn’t care too much.
Note that you cannot put tips on a credit card.

Have been a Highland Park resident for quite a while now and had never tried Olga’s. I was given a gift certificate for a «Salt Glow Loofah», so I gave it a try. Boy am I glad that I did.
I was a little skeptical about the salt rub but it was spectacular. Once you get over the initial embarrassment of being naked, it is very relaxing. The best part is how your skin feels when it is done. I don’t think my skin has felt this smooth and soft since I was a girl. Love it and will definitely do it again!
Also had a pedicure while I was there. It was fine and the price fair to a bit above average. I think you can get a comparable pedicure just about anywhere.
So good to know that you don’t have to go into the city to have a good day spa experience.

Part of being a «girl» so my mother tells me is that I need to get my nails done every month or so. Well, the ladies at Olga’s make the process down right enjoyable. I have had my nails done several times and it has always been a pleasant experience. From what I could tell, Olga’s has a loyal HP customer base. What does that tell me? That this is not a «one and done» kind of place. The staff get to know you and, better yet, remember you, ask questions about you and your family. They have an extensive list of services and offer some things that I have not seen at other spas in the area (i.e. ear candling?)
I have had great service at Olga’s and look forward to going back soon for a facial. massage or another manicure. I agree with the other reviewers, there really is no need to find another place for service, Olga’s has it all and does it right the first time.

Olga’s Skin Care and Day Spa is a unique gem hidden in Highland Park. I’ve heard women and men talk about Olga’s, but I only recently had the opportunity to visit this long-​standing Highland Park establishment; and boy am I happy I did! I treated myself to a Swedish Massage and after just a few minutes I knew this was one of the best massages I would ever have. My therapist dismantled all the knots in my back with ease and deliberation. It was the kind of un-​doing that felt good, that didn’t hurt and helped me feel «right» again. I walked out of the massage and literally melted into my manicure chair. My fingers enjoyed the attention my limbs and muscles had just received during the massage. My manicure was just as relaxing and the polish stayed on my nails for nearly 10 days. Olga’s Day Spa has a variety of spa services that I would like to experience. Their rule of no cells phones is much appreciated. It’s important to do something for «you,» and Olga’s allows that to happen without interruption. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and rejuvenating. My entire experience at Olga’s was great and I really cannot wait to go back.
