Palios Pizza Cafe

We ordered some pizza, pasta and a Caesar salad and we went to pick it up tonight. The food was OK as it usually is, this occasion they did not give us the pizza we ordered. So we just called, and the nice lady acknowledged that they gave us the wrong pizza. «Just drive back up here and we’ll give you the pizza you ordered.» Well of course, that is ridiculous we are ready to eat now and already have our pasta and our salad do we really want to drive back and get another pizza and then start eating in another 35 to 40 minutes? Ridiculous, we will eat this margarita pizza even though we ordered the classic.
It sure would’ve been nice to have them offer to mail us a coupon or maybe have one of their delivery guys who are obviously out in the neighborhood anyway drop by with the pizza that we ordered, but instead we just said thanks anyway and they said sorry we can’t help you. Yeah I doubt we will be ordering Palios again.

Well… it sounded like a good idea. But to be honest the pizza was cold, not what we ordered and mediocre in flavor. The straw that broke the camels back was when we ordered chicken strips and fries for our daughter… and we got undercooked fries and dinosaur shaped nuggets. LOL! I wasn’t expecting hand breaded fillets but come on!

Pizza and salads are good, We are regulars and always look forward to eating there. My wife loves their Spaghetti and meat sauce.

I was less than impressed with this restaurant. The quality, taste, and flavor of the food was nonexistent. Plus they burn my food and told me that is how it was supposed to be repaired.

Have been here about 5 times. The atmosphere is nice, tables are always clean, the workers are polite, bathrooms are clean, and of course the food is deliteful, fresh, hot and not super greasy like other pizza places. I will keep coming back.

Pretty good pizza. I like that they have some unique specialty pizzas. The hawaiian, barbecue, and nutty chicken are my favorites.

Great pizza! I have been going here for years. Warning… the sauce can be a little garlicky… but I like it like that. The crust is thin and crispy on the edges. Also get a calzone with the marinara and the garlic butter dipping sauce. Those sauces are everything.

We eat here frequently and order delivery from here often. We have always been thrilled with the food and the service! Awesome lunch specials and some of my favorite pizza in the metroplex!!!

We have been ordering pizza there for the last year or so and it has been our favorite up until the end of 2014. We had an issue with the manager the last time because the pizza showed up 45 minutes late and she did not seem to care at all. Finally I caved in and ordered from there again only to be disappointed again. Our pizza showed up late, cold and the quality was not once what it use to be. Pizza was not cooked all the way and ingredients were not right. I am frequently looking up places on Unilocal because I find the reviews to be solid but have never left a review until now. If you are reading this please keep on looking because this place is not worth the stop anymore.

I usually like Palios. I had been to other locations and liked the food. This time I was out for a special dinner with my daughter before a Daddy-​Daughter dance. We waited forever for our food and after 45 minutes I asked the manager. They had lost our order. They begged me to let them fix it, but we were already late for the dance. I don’t know host the food is at this location, but the service was unacceptable.

We have frequented the place several times, but after the last episode I doubt I will be back. We ordered three 3 pizzas from Palios for take out. We ordered based on the prices from their online menu. We were charged extra for a gluten free crust by several dollars even though the added price was not indicated on their menu. I questioned the amount and they struggled in telling me what the added cost was. They finally told me it was an additional $ 6 for gluten free crust, so I told them to cancel the gluten free pizza and we would bet one from Dominos. I was told it was too late and it was already in the oven and I needed to pay. They called back and said the gluten free pizza would be free. We went to pick up the pizzas and no gluten free pizza. I asked to talk to the manager and I told that we ordered 3 pizzas and we were missing 1. The manager proceeded to argue that her employee did not tell us that would be free. The entire order processing from the beginning was a cluster. I told the manager that we would never return. Her response shocked me. She said, this is not my store, I don’t really care.

On 5÷3÷14, we tried this place for the first time. The interior is very nice & well-​designed. Several televisions were on, but not so loud as to be an annoyance. Service is similar to Tin Star & Pei Wei (you order at a main counter as you walk-​in, then your food is brought to you). There were a number of pizza doughs already on cooking trays, which is a good sign as they were not pre-​made. The service was friendly & menu questions were addressed well. I had a question, which the cashier didn’t know the answer. She went to the cook to find the answer, which really impressed me.
The food came out very fast, which is sometimes a mixed blessing (i.e. microwaving pre-​cooked food). But here, that was not the case. The food was properly cooked and tasted good. The marinara sauce was a bit sweet, but has a good flavor. The ingredients, however, seem to be processed. I can’t say for certain, but the chicken resembled what you find in a bag (frozen/​pre-​cut). Nevertheless, the pizza had a good balance of ingredients. The cooks know what they are doing here. It isn’t the best pizza in town, but it’s close & has a good environment.

So nice to see staff really cleaning the high chairs! Always great service and great pizza!

We really like Palios pizza but this particular location has horrible service. We have had bad luck with their service since they moved to the new building. We stopped going to this location and instead used the location on 2499 in flower mound
Friday night we went to the flower mound location but it was gone (no idea if they moved or closed). So we decided to try the HV location again as it has been over a year since we were last there.
We will never return. It wasn’t very busy and they managed to forget to make one of our two pizzas. Our boys were nearly have way done eating their pizza when I tracked down someone to find out about the pizza for my wife and I. I was told they were «remaking it». Fast forward another 10 minutes, our boys are completely done we still have no food and not one person has stopped by to check us. So back to the counter I go. Again, I’m told our pizza is nearly done.
I told them to place it straight into a to-​go box. The pizza should have been free at this point. It wasn’t. I received a coupon for a free pizza in the future, which I’ll never use at this location.
The service at this place has actually gotten worse in the last year. And it was bad before.

I went there because my daughter wanted pizza. I can said that this is the best pizza in DFW area. The place is very clean and the staff are very friendly. Keep up the good work. Great lunch special too.

I hope the service gets better. I waited 30 minutes for beef ravioli and a gyro. Apparently if you are serving 3 covers your in the weeds.

Apparently this location is under new management and they do not know how to run this place. Had to wait over an hour for a pasta dish and medium pizza. They brought them both out separate. Would have been nice to have a warning that they were running behind. Management didn’t have the decency to come out and apologize to any of the customers who were all waiting over an hour for food. We felt bad for the teenagers working there, THEY were the only ones who seemed to care about good service. Love Palio’s but we will not be returning to this location!!!

Best pizza in the metroplex… and we’ve tried several dozen different places in the last 12 years here.
The crust is crispy, not too thick and the toppings are flavorful and plentiful. On top of that, the service is always top notch. And the BYOB option makes it inexpensive versus anyone else out there. The Meat and Cheese Deluxe is one killer pie.
Nice location and fine ambiance — perfect for anyone from couples to families.
The lunch special is really a good deal with salad and a small pizza for under $ 8.
Highly recommended.

Decent enough ‘dallas style’ pizza. (the thin oval kind) Came out fresh.
Price was okay. but even a large was barely enough for a hungry man. Ordering at counter and then seating yourself was a bit awkward to someone. Nobody greeted me as I came through the door or left.
Ordered a greek salad. but what I got was clearly someone’s idea of a Greek. but not mine. If the Campisi’s etc. style pizza is what you like, you’ll like this place. BYOB is great. For me? I’ll keep hunting for New York style pizza. Bound to be here somewhere.

Momma Mia! The pizza was a huge surprise! That’s amore. Served piping hot with an amazing, delicious sauce under the bubbling cheese… fantastico! Also ordered the Palio’s shrimp fettuccine… eh…decent, but nothing to write home about. A nice little pizza café with decent atmosphere and sweet waitresses. Come here for the pizza and you wont be disappointed.
