Came into Big Lots and stood around for roughly 15 min while we waited for help in the furniture departure. I suggest hire more employees to be helpful to the customer that come in.

I love this Big Lots! It’s pretty sketchy here because it’s right next to the casino so you catch a ton of bums over here, but it’s pretty amazing when you do win at the casino! You have no idea, when I won I came here and bought batteries and food for myself, it was amazing.

I went there the other day to buy patio furniture on sale 20% off. They were so helpful. The manager Alberta, Monia and Angela were the greatest. Helpful, and pleasent! Good Big Lots to shop at.

The Highland Big Lots is located on Highland Ave, right next to a very sketchy Food-4-Less. The area it’s located in is so-so, but I will say this. Its one of my go-to stores when I am looking for particular things. For those of you who don’t remember — Big Lots used to be a chain called Pick-N-Save. Back in those days, places such at these were truly ghetto. Since becoming Big Lots, there has been a concerted effort to class up stores — even adding large furniture and garden/patio items for sales to their stores. Big Lots specialized in overstock and close-out items from other stores. Their motto is «if you see it and you like it, buy it, because it may not be there the next time you come on». And this is very true. This particular Big Lots has recently been rennovated/reconfigured on the inside; mainly with the addition of the aforementioned larger furniture items. The prices are good, the inventory is… well. hey! It’s Big Lots! So the inventory is variable! You never know what you will find in here, The store is clean… most of the time. There have been a couple messes on the aisles I’ve had to circumvent from time to time. The employees… ehhhhh. Well, it depends on their mood. Sometimes they can be real friendly and helpful, and other times they seem to have no idea what you are talking about when you ask them about an item you KNOW they’ve stocked in the past. All in all — this place gets 3 solid stars. Could be better — but then again… could be much, much worse!

With Big Lots you get retail items, without retail prices. I have bought fuzzy yarn from here for one dollar, while at Micheal’s it was four dollars. I have bought a few snacks from here, but you should pay attention to the expiration date. I have bought may beauty products from here instead of from Wal-Mart that have worked just fine. They have many toys, garden, holiday, arts & crafts, home, beauty, and other random items. However, They do not have a pubic restroom, you have to walk to Food 4 Less to use one. The workers that I have experienced were pretty decent.

I would have never found this Big Lots were it not for the GPS in my car. It’s on the western border of Highland, a stone’s throw from San Bernardino on Highland Ave. This location is pretty nice, and was part of my Big Lots of the Inland Empire marathon day looking for a rug. It was nice to see some of the different locations, and this one is certainly not without its merits. It’s close to the freeway, and the parking lot is nice and quiet. I would recommend going if you’re in the area… it’s a little far for me, but when you’re on a Big Lots Marathon, you’re on one.
