Brumm’s Bloomin Barn

We ordered two of the identical bouquets for two clients through the Telefora site which had 3 different colored roses in the arrangements. The first one was delivered and looked nothing like the photo. It had carnations and tulips. I called and was told there shipment was not in yet for their roses. Do I want a credit or another delivery? I was not going to send another arrangement. The damage was already done. I was promised the second arrangement I was going to love. Nope. Strike two. Once again the arrangement looks nothing like the photo. I understand substitutions but this was not even close. Very disappointing as I love going into their store and seeing the décor especially at the holidays.

I selected Brumm’s for funeral flowers on Unilocal.Not only were the flowers beautiful and all I hoped for, but I had asked for Tuesday and they called back to let me know visitation was Monday. They delivered the flowers for me Monday (same day) at no extra charge. It’s great when a vendor has your back!!!

I live in California and wanted to send flowers for my mother in law to her aunt’s funeral in Gary Indiana. Brummell was very helpful in informing me of the area and the best way that they could be delivered safely. My mother in law is 90 and her aunt was 101. This happened in January and my mother in law’s cousins are still raving about how beautiful the arrangement was! thank you Brumm’s for your service!

A great place to buy a home accent or flowers for any occasion. I come here to buy my flowers for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, sweetest day… etc. Fresh Flowers are always available. I love coming here.

I found Brumm’s on Google, knew nothing about them except for the positive reviews (and I admit, the name is pretty cool too). I decided to try them out so I called to have flowers delivered to a nearby office for a friend’s birthday. The woman on the phone was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. Somehow, they were able to deliver 30 of the most beautiful yellow Tulips (in early February!) in a terrible snow storm within 2 hours — all for a little over $ 1 a Tulip. My friend who received them was really impressed by the quality of the flowers and vase, and also the delivery person (he wanted to see her reaction). A week later, the flowers still looked great. They have definitely won a lifetime customer with me.

I had a special request that included them running to the store to get a party hat for me for a same day delivery. They nailed it. thanks for going above and beyond!

I have been shopping at this store for years! It is by far the best gift/​craft store I have ever been in. The owners have kept up with the quality of this store and products ever since they opened. Its so beautiful on the inside, so beautifully decorated its breath-​taking! They have anything you could ever need for that perfect gift for someone, or even just for yourself. There isn’t enough stars for this store! Just walk in just once, if you have never visited this store, you will be so glad you did!!!

Whenever a friend is looking for a present for a woman in their life, I send them to Brumm’s. You cannot go wrong in looking for a gift here. Candles, flowers, pictures, trinkets, jewelry… and it’s all beautiful. I’ve been going to this place my whole life and you won’t find a more beautiful store around the holidays. A visit to Brumm’s after Thanksgiving never fails to get me in the mood for Christmas. The staff is always helpful and friendly. If you are looking for something specific that they don’t currently have in stock, they will take your number and call you when it comes in. They have done this for numerous items for me and I truly appreciate it. They wrap gifts beautifully and have a rewards program that is a lot of fun too.

A couple month ago my mom went in to talk to the owner regarding my November wedding flowers. She was very open that the wedding was in the suburbs of Chicago (probably an hours drive). The owner stated they could accommodate us. My mom did the initial meeting and told the owner what we were looking, which he agreed he could complete. We wanted very small vases with maybe 4 – 7 flowers in a vase. A month later we decide we want to get a better idea on the cost of Brumm’s arrangement and a quote for the flowers for my wedding. My mom and I decided to set a follow up appointment with the owner.
The shop was super cute and had great flowers and merchandise. I love giving local shops business so why not right? I was thoroughly impressed needless to say and I was excited to get our meeting started. During the meeting everything is running smoothly until I start to mention next steps. I advise the owner we are going to want a quote for the flowers. He insisted on wanting our budget for flowers, which we refused to give him because A) we don’t know how much we want to spend on flowers and B) who knows if he is giving us a fair price. Just give us a quote on the items and quanities we discussed in our hour and half meeting.
After we tell him we don’t have a budget in mind just yet and to prepare the quote. Then he said we have to come in AGAIN to see a mock up of the flowers. Keep in mind I live 40 miles away and don’t want to keep going back in forth. I already told him what I am looking for, but I just want an idea on the cost. We leave the shop and I call him on Monday morning and ask him if he could email me a quote, he is then says again he can’t give me a quote until he make a mock up of the reception flowers. Ok Fine… I then sit on this for a bit and a call him again and advise I will clearly pay for the mock up but I don’t want to waste his time, but I really need a quote, ball park figure at best. He finally agrees but only wants to call me with the total (strange, most people email it). He promises to call me Monday or Tuesday. Its now Thursday and he called me with the quote or so I thought.
He only verbally quoted me half of the cost and couldn’t give me a breakdown. When I asked for the reception cost he said he couldn’t give it to me. Why you might ask? He needs to pull the flowers and get an idea of what we were wanting. Keep in mind I wanted something so simple like 3 or 4 of the same flowers in one vase. Hes been doing this for 40 years and I can’t believe he couldn’t possible tell me how much 8 roses cost with a vase rental… Obnixious!
Enough already! Everything has been pretty simple as far as wedding planning, BESIDES HIM. In today’s times who can’t provide someone with a quote? Don’t waste your time.

Brumm’s Blooming Barn in Highland is the best place to go for that special gift for yourself or a friend!!! If you are looking for flowers, their arrangements are always gorgeous! They seem to use flowers that last!!! I have always been happy with my orders. I think service is very important and every time I walk in the store I am greeted with a warm welcome. From kids to adults, there is something for everyone!!! Check it out!!!

I like this store for its immaculate holiday collections and home and garden décor. The selection of candles and jewelry also make this a majestic treasure trove in the heart of the small town of Highland. The staff are personable and attentive to your interests and needs and although the place is not very big in size and space there is warm and comforting items that touch the heart. For example, posters of pubs from local universities caught my eye and to find where I graduated from brought memories that flushed me deeper into the store.
