These guys know what they’re doing with beer. They have a series of brews from the science side of beer and another set from the creative side. Almost all of them are delicious. Plus, this is one of the only breweries around where you can get a sour. If you’re a fan, then order the Berliner Weisse. You can add a syrup to it for extra flavor. I like the mango jalapeño. Dog friendly, this is a great place to stop in after a run or a hike with the mutt.

This place has had good beer about 90−95% of the times I’ve stopped by. There is a reasonable amount of seating with some big TVs. There is also(seasonal) outdoor seating which faces the parking lot. They occasionally have food trucks. Kids are generally okay to bring and I often see families with kids … this is not a rowdy establishment full of drunks, just a nice neighborhood bar with a broad selection of craft beers.

I’ve been to Grist a couple of times. Usually when Churn & Burn is there because I love their BBQ. Grist usually has a food truck outside to satisfy your drinking munchies. Their beer is pretty good for the most part. I’m a fan of the specialty beers they make like their Russian Imperial Stout. I tried the Barrel Aged Skiing in Jeans, it was pretty tasty but was a beer I could probably only drink one of. The environment is pretty neat, the bar is in the center of the building with tables along the outside. They’re also dog friendly and usually have a nice bowl of dog treats for the pooches. All in all it’s an alright brewery. Better than most, I just haven’t found a beer there yet that I absolutely love.

Definitely a fan! They have an excellent atmosphere here, which might be my favorite part. It’s bright and friendly and very open; super cool. I like that they have the garage doors too, with additional seating in front of them. Us Coloradoans gotta have those patio seats! Ordered a flight of everything, and wow! So many good ones, we very much enjoyed at least half, if not more, of their current tap selections. One of the bartenders suggested adding a fruity syrup to their«champagne» style beer, forgive me I forget the name, and it was to DIE for! Oh wow, changed the beer entirely. We loved it so much we grabbed a growler and a side of the blackberry syrup for home. Amazing, I’ve never seen anything like that. Will be back again and again! Oh, and we got a «Frequent Growler» card, so be sure to ask for that! Every time you fill up, you get a punch, and after so many, you get a free growler! 10 – 12 I believe, pretty awesome deal.

Really like the chill atmosphere. This bar is not crazy with hipsters and people that feel they are beer snobs. They allow dogs which is great. how fun is that? The kolsch is my favorite with the raspberry purée. This is definitely a place to check out.

This is by far my favorite brewery so far! Great waiters, fun equipment, good food trucks, awesome beer & great design. Love this place. It’s difficult it’s near my house.

Neat bar, open and inviting but the beer was just okay. Hubby and friend got the science flight which had 8 tasters and also had 3 other tasters on the side. The pours are generous and the price is incredibly reasonable but the beer is sub par at best. There’s one that we called laundry detergent which was awful and only consumable when mixed with the sour beer. Everyone around us seemed to love the raspberry purée mixed with the sour beer though.

This brewery was garage style with a large bar, a counter pressure growler filler, and an interesting beer list. Friendly staff. They have an outdoor patio with uncomfortable chairs. Several of the beers were not to my taste but I was able to find some gems. Their Citra Pale: I liked it and so did my boyfriend, who doesn’t usually like citra hops. This beer was milder than most beers containing citra, though. The CA Common was too malty for me and I also didn’t like the ESB. The Albino Stout was good. It tasted & smelled like a coffee stout, but was pale in color; hence the name albino. I felt the milk stout was too bland & smooth, which is typical. I really liked the barrel aged English IPA as it was surprisingly sweet, reminding me of a barley wine. It was more malty and less hoppy than US IPAs. New Zealand IPA was a-OK. My tastes can vary, so I definitely would give this place another try and would recommend it to others.

My favorite thing about Grist is that it is located right across the street from the batting cages and softball fields at Red Stone. People, softball without beer is like apple pie without ice cream. You can do it but seriously why would you? I came and had a few brews with a buddy Rick P. before heading to the cages. I had both the Hefeweizen and the California Common. Both were true to form and I was very pleased the Hefe wasn’t full of banana flavor. Pours are between 4 and 8 bucks each and well worth the price for a very nice craft beer. The tasting room is inside a business park and is pretty nice. We sat at the bar and shot the sh! t with the bar tender and enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend stopping by.

Excellent beers! There is a wide variety! My absolute favorite is the 3rd Ring Belgian Strong but everything is truly delicious I always have a hard time deciding. The beertenders are always right on top of service, I’ve never been without a beer. Along with their fun, easy-going attitudes. They have food trucks everyday which is a great plus! This is the place to be for exceptional beer, awesome staff, and great food trucks!

While I applaud the creativity in their beer and ideas, other than the Virgil’s Reserve, nothing really lit up my palate. I’m more of an IPA person, so please take my opinion with a grain of salt. Very nice people, very cool venue… this is a place who wants to stay off the Main Street.

Pretty cool and busy brewery down in South Denver. I tried the sour beer and got the fruit loops flavor. The sour was good, but the fruit loops flavor wasnt great. I tried a friends raspberry flavor sour and that was significantly better. I definitely appreciate the food truck outside. Thats always good once youve had a few too many!

We absolutely adored this place. They allow dogs, which is awesome because we like bringing our furry friend to places. I had one of the creative beers, Skiing In Jeans which was a pecan honey bock and my bf had their science flight. Which was six 4oz beers for $ 8! The people working were friendly and the place had a lot of open space. There’s a food truck calendar and Wednesday night is Trivia Night! We’ll definitely have to check out a Wednesday night next time! Great brewery and so close to the dog park!

If you happen to be out in the suburban wasteland of Highands Ranch/Littleton, take refuge here. Its a little bit of heaven in a non-descript business complex. Funky décor, large bar layout, open concept to the brew action, speedy staff and the crowd is a mellow mix of parents and what seemed to be beer tourists. No one blinked at me walking in with my 3-month old(this was her 5th brewery in 12 weeks). We like beer. We don’t do tasters because we already know what styles we like and how they should taste. There is always risk when coming to a new brewery and ordering a full pour. We haung out with these guys for a while and tried 4 of the beers on tap. They were all great. I had the saison and American IPA. The Dr had the Belian Strong and Staple IPA. All solid beers that will call us back for another visit.

Still a good brewery, but downgraded to four stars for a seemingly indifferent bartender who started putting chairs up on tables about an hour before close. Not a welcoming experience, and putting up furniture before closing is a great way to send the message that you’d rather get the hell out of there than serve your customers. In the brewery business, service and a welcoming feel are critical elements, and my most recent visit to Grist lacked those elements.

Great brewery with lots of good beers. Being from Southern California where breweries are plenty, it was great to stumble upon this quaint little place off the beaten path. We tried all the beers on tap and they even offered us a sample of the berliner weisse with raspberry syrup — YUMMY! They appear to be dog friendly, as I saw a few pups in the tasting room. Based on other breweries in the area, they seem to be reasonably priced for the quality of their beer. We did walk away with a couple of bottles of their barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout even though we didn’t get to try it beforehand(great beer). We will definitely hit them up again next time we are in the Denver area.

Love this place. Beers are always good. It’s spacious. Dog-friendly and a perfect end to a long day. Also you can get a growler for $ 12 which is cheap for a quality jug of beer. They also have different food trucks that come for lunch everyday except for Monday. So if you’re hungry fear not. Grist is my go-to place for great beer, the beertenders are all super nice and we have a rapport for sure! They are like my beer family. They have cycled through several new beers over the year I’ve been coming and I enjoyed them all. I highly recommend Grist!

This place impressed me! I tried everything they had on tap(something like 10 beers), and though I predictably didn’t like their IPA and Belgian Strong(my husband did though), every single beer stood out with solid and distinct flavors! The best part was I feel like this was one of the least expensive breweries I’ve been to– inexpensive tasters and pints! Beautiful bar, with additional picnic table seating inside and out. Service was spot-on on a busy Friday night. It’s just far enough off the beaten path, even from me living near Park Meadows, that it’ll probably be awhile before I make it here again, but I will absolutely be back!

I hadn’t been here since the first week they had opened. The experience from that time didn’t really make me want to go back. Much better experience last night. They have a great patio, and the staff was much more friendly. Given this was just a one drink HH with coworkers, I didn’t try all the options. I did give the stout, vienna lager and kolsch a try. Stuck with the lighter Kolsch for my beer of choice last night.
