I’ve only been here in the mornings, never late night, so I don’t know if «Dotty», the employee mentioned in the other review, is still there or not.
What I DO know is that Katz’s makes a great pork roll egg and cheese. The woman who works there in the mornings is so sweet, the food comes out fast, and it’s cheap. I try to stop in here for a PEC each time I’m home in NJ.
This is also a convenience store, limited selection, but go for a breakfast sandwich and you won’t be disappointed.

Highlands, NJ
Quite simply, do not go if Dotty is working. She is an angry woman who obviously does not want to be there and takes it out on whomever happens to be around. The food is what it is… 2 am the only place in town open… which is good enough for me. But I will not be going back as long as Dotty is working there. Nothing worse than an abrasive, abusive staff to ruin any good night out. If you want to feel welcome in Highlands, do not go to Katz.
