My wife and I checked in here for a wedding and were pleasantly surprised. Being just footsteps from downtown, your never too far from meeting up with friends and grabbing a bight to eat or shopping for souvenirs. The whole place has a cozy camp feel to it with it’s lush surroundings and water features. You feel at home from the minute you check in as the mountain fireplace kindles with warmth in the check in lobby. The rooms are a little dated but are clean, and offer great balconies for cutting out and relaxing on a rocking chair. My only complaint about the rooms is the lighting in them(as for most hotel rooms) is a little dark and not enough plugs in for all your gadgets i.e. iPhones, laptops, and cameras without having to unplug some lighting. Also the free wifi didn’t really work. However, up in beautiful North Carolina you should be spending most of your time outdoors anyway. PS. for this ara the pricing is amazing!
