Highland Inn Lodge

A note: the highlands area can be expensive. So many places are in the several hundred dollar range. If you are on more of a budget you should consider staying here. This hotel is not modern — but has a lot of great touches to make it a comfortable stay. It was clean and had everything I needed. I stayed here on 2 occasions for work. The first room had an electric fireplace. It took a couple tries to turn it on — but it was a nice perk. This room had great water pressure in the shower.
The second room I stayed in didn’t have the electric fireplace but I had a balcony this time. When I opened the door I saw that they had started a real fire in this lovely outdoor bowl right outside my door. Loved it so much and really appreciated that surprise after coming in from work at 10pm on a cold night. Nothing could be better ! They have several gathering areas outside with seating and they have this great outdoor fireplace. My only complaint would be that this room didn’t have the same hot water availability or good shower pressure at all. But for one night — it wasn’t worth the trouble to switch rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
