After spending 30 as a patient, I am quite qualified to express my opinions of this family practice. At one point, Doc was very family oriented. He knew you and your family and we always felt we were in good hands with him. I still feel he is very knowledgeable, but I don’t feel there is a Doctor/Patient bond any longer. Worse, to us, was that when our daughter was born, we needed to find a Pediatrician, because Doc doesn’t see patients under 5. At the time our Son was 5, and had been in to see Doc once or twice. We decided that since our Daughter would be seeing a Pediatrician, it would make sense to have both her and our son at the same practice. Every intention being that we would eventually move them both over to Doc E. Well, that time came, and due to some policy, he would not accept our son back. He said he «left» the practice. That may be, in the sense that we did move him, but only so our children’s records would be together. In the end, Doc E. wouldn’t accept our son back and to me that is a sign that all family orientation of this practice is long gone. It’s a business and frankly, when it comes to our health, I want to be see by someone who legitimately cares about my health. I don’t feel that is the case at Espenshade’s any longer.
