This is a Highspire favorite. Local gossip gets spread here, people know each other on a first name basis. The locals stop in here on a daily basis and get whatever they need to start their day: coffee, snacks, gas, etc. The place is packed in the morning and steady the rest of the day. It’s that local place everyone goes to feel like they are part of the community. Do you need anymore indication then the placard outside– Sunoco’s «Congrats Rollers State Champs» vs. Citgo’s «Daisy Cakes for you» Gas prices are on the cheap side, and are sometimes the same as the Citgo across the street or 1 – 2 cents more. The two are always trying to keep up with each other. I stray from getting gas here because it is on the other side of the street, the line is usually longer, and they are a bit more then Citgo, but still generally cheaper than anyone else in the area. I should go here though because Citgo supports Venenzualan Oil which I don’t like. All in all, if you want to feel like a local, Sunoco is the place to be!
