Hair salon, the gal Scottia did a great job on our hair. She’s always very personable and pleasant to be around. The salon is convenient, right inside the BX. We’re going here because our regular hair dresser moved out of state… Christy is our best friend and we miss her dearly. All in all, we’ll go back to the salon.

The Base Exchange(BX) at Hill AFB can be best described as a mini-mall that is mostly open to the public that have access to base. The only section that is restricted to military members is the main shopping/grocery area, which is like an out-of-state grocery store with liquors on shelf and gun section. They do have good prices on ammos that are on par with wholesale prices. There are mini stores on another section of the BX, which consists of store like Gamestop, GNC, etc… Some are tax-free, some are not, and there are various kiosks selling cultural items on the walkway. The food court is the most populated section of the whole BX, as it is open to everyone and everything is sales tax free. They have a Baskin Robbins, Charley’s, a pizza place, a sandwich place, and Taco Bell. The sandwich place and pizza place are a little overpriced comparing to what you get at Subway, and it is really paying more for less. Taco Bell is always crowded. Charley’s is probably the actual place where you will get good deal for the right price. I never visited Baskin Robbins there. Overall, the Base Exchange is meant to be a quick place for lunch and gathering spot if you are meeting people on base for luncheons.
