My 4 yr old son has seen Danielle at the Hilliard Rome location ever since his 1st hair cut 2 yrs ago and she is wonderful! Plus she works well with him being on the autism spectrum and makes his experience very sensory friendly!

We went today to take my 2.5 year old for her first haircut. I was nervous at how she would react because sitting still isn’t one of her strong points but the stylist did an amazing job with her. She interacted with her and called her by her name which I loved. We also got the first haircut photo and certificate with her hair in a little bag for a keepsake. We had a great experience and I would recommend cookie cutters to all of my friends and family. The hardest part for us was leaving as my daughter wanted to stay there all day. Now she keeps asking if we can go back and get another hair cut! Next time I will make sure to make an appointment though because there was a little wait, and we only got in because someone called to say they were running late.

Pros: Great location near home. Clean facility. Experienced hair stylists. Cons: Very busy(not really a con but can make for a long wait sometimes for walk ins) Review: We go to this place all the time to have my kids hair cut. So far I’ve had great experiences and the facility is always clean. There have been a few times the stylist cuts uneven and I’ve had to go back. But usually we leave happy.

Not happy! The stylist didn’t care that the cut hair kept falling into my 7 month old’s mouth. Plus instead of trimming the hair in layers, she just cut it in straight lines.

We have been here a few times in the past few months. I got my son’s first hair cut here, and made an appointment for it, I should have known when I called for the appointment this may not be a great idea. The girl on the phone was not courteous, at all. I wouldn’t say rude, but when you work in a customer service environment, people skills are important! Anyway, we went to the appointment and the stylist, I forget her name but she was blonde in her late 30s probably, did very well with our son, and we were mostly satisfied and okay to come back for the next hair cut. Our next hair cut we did a walk in on a week night, the girl at the front desk wasn’t very friendly, but again, not rude. She told us it would probably be a 20 minute wait, which I was fine with, and it didn’t even end up being that long. The stylist this time, was much less friendly than the other, hardly said two words to me… Not that I want to share my life story with her, but small talk can make it seem like you care. Again the hair cut was ok, not as good as the first time but still looked pretty good. Just recently, we tried to walk-in on a Saturday, silly, I know, but we were in the area and figured it would be worth a shot. My husband went in to see how long the wait would be and it was about 40 minutes, obviously we weren’t going to wait that, but he said the girl at the desk was rude to him. So, on the following Monday, I called to make an appointment, and the girl on the phone was rude this time, almost to the point of me hanging up and saying forget it. I didn’t though, I made the appointment for later in the day. When we got there, the girl at the desk was nice this time, but we were about 5 minutes late, due to traffic, and they cancelled out my appointment. The girl told me, «oh its okay! We’ll just have to pencil you back in… It will be about a thirty minute wait.»… So, because I was late, and barely at that… I have to to wait another half hour?! No thanks, we won’t be coming back to this Cookie Cutters location.

fun for the kids, including indoor slide while you wait, airplaine or a fireengine to sit on while you get your hair cut. watch a movie while they get their hair cut. only downside is the price. 14.95 for haircut, 16.95 shampoo and haircut. we have been coming here for years and its still great.

Absolute worst haircut I have ever seen! My daughter has thick straight hair and just wanted a few inches taken off so I decided to give this place a shot. The staff was ok, not overly friendly but not outright nasty either but they could not cut a straight line to save their lives! They ended up taking off way more than my daughter wanted because they kept messing up! She left in tears saying she looked like a boy now and before the cut her hair was a good 5 inches below her shoulders. All she wanted was shoulder length hair and she ended up with hair tat barely reaches the bottom of her ears! I would never recommend this place to anyone. Even for the price I would rather take my chances anywhere but here! Don’t waste your money!

First time I went, I tried to do a walk in(since I saw it on the door walk in’s accepted) there were 2 ladies, and no one in there but I guess they had people who had called ahead on their way. They asked me and th kiddo to come back at 3. We went back at 3, mind you my daughter had her hair down past her butt! She was very fidgety most times but she sat perfectly still for the girls here. She sat on a carosuel pony and watced tv while they chopped away and when it came time for the bangs she was perfect. The last time I or anyone else(including a lady in a salon) tried to cut her bangs it turned into a disaster! We went back to get her hair done again over the summer and pretty much had to make an appointment since they were so busy. Once again hair past the butt, and she was excited to go. She did great, and the stylist was friendly and did a great job. This time the little one wanted to make her hair short, she wanted it pixie like mine but I said lets try about shoulder length so she was happy with that. They did a great job of shaping her face, and not making it look like a box cut in the front and back.

When I was in middle school my friend Megan Carney asked me to trim her beautiful hair. Megan had the most beautiful long, black, straight hair. We wet and combed it. Then I pressed the side of my hand to her back to determine the length she wanted. Just about an inch. For some reason I just couldn’t get a straight line. So I kept cutting and cutting, eventually I had cut about 8 inches of hair off Megan and it still wasn’t straight. It took a while for Megan and I to move pass that afternoon in her bedroom. She ended up getting a really cute bob that night and looked terrific. I learned a lesson — Don’t cut hair! I almost had a memory lapse Friday night. I had my 20 month old daughter sitting on a stool in the bathroom with her hair wet and combed. Fortunately for her she decided not to sit still. I let her get up and run out the room and I called Cookie Cutters. They were able to get me in first thing the next morning. The shop is really cute. There is a jungle jim when you enter so Rease was able to go down the slide a few times before the cut. Then she sat in an antique car and watched Dora while Erin patiently cut her hair. The experience ended with a sucker and balloon! For $ 18 with tip I was relieved. We’ll be back to see Erin next time.
