I want to add my voice to the chorus of five star reviews. Father/​son partners Mark, Brent and their crew just completed a major floor and counter tile tile project on both floors of my town home. Along the way they uncovered significant issues with several aspects of the existing construction (shame on you, builders of Orenco Station Development — obviously those lawsuits took care of only the VISIBLE problems) which meant a lot of unexpected remediation AND required several adjustments to the work plan along the way. What really struck me was how incredibly organized, efficient, and on top of things the team was. Especially given how pleasant, considerate and easy they were to deal with. The resulting tile work (two different floors, kitchen and bathroom counters) is impeccable. I couldn’t be happier. And, by the way, they in no way solicit positive web reviews. The raves that show up here are all our idea.

I replaced my claw foot tub with a walk in shower. What a treat working with Mark. He helped me with the layout design and helped me find a great plumber who also was a treat to work with. The workmanship was great and they came and went with out a notice to the rest of the house of that they had been there. As soon as I get the glass walls up I will post a picture. Best experience I have had with a contractor.

I recently hired DeWolf tile and stone to install slate floors in my kitchen, dining room, and guest bathroom. They were outstanding in every aspect of the job.
Initial Quote: I solicited 5 quotes from different tile installers. DeWolf’s quote was the 2^nd lowest. Their quote was also the most complete in terms of itemizing the material, labor and steps involved in the process. Their quote included things the other quotes did not such as removal of and re-​install of toilet, moving the refrigerator, moving the dishwasher, etc… Some of the quotes from other installers didn’t include all of the materials for sealing cracks and/​or specified that the owner must move the refrigerator etc…
Design Ideas: I wasn’t sure exactly what pattern I wanted and discussed this with Mark and his team. They discussed alternatives with me and gave good, sound advice. They made suggestions regarding pattern, grout color, and a baseboard alternative.
Scheduling & Performance to Schedule: When I accepted the quote, I was given the start date of the job (~1.5 months from when I accepted) and the end date. The job was quoted as 5 days in duration. They never postponed or rescheduled. They showed up on the start date and finished on the agreed to end date. Due to some difficulties in moving my giant refrigerator in a tight space, they fell a bit behind on schedule one day. They worked later in the evening to make up for lost time and stay on schedule.
Very Accomodating: During the installation, they offered to do the floor in stages so that I could still walk through the room to get to other parts of the house. I declined the offer as I had other entrances I could use. It was great that they recognized the inconvenience and were willing to plan their work in order to best accomodate my needs as the homeowner.
Quality: Outstanding! The end result exceeded my expectation! My floors are beautiful and incredibly low maintenance (one of my goals with this project).
Final Price: No suprises. The final price was the initial quote price. I do believe they ended up using more sealer to seal cracks in the concrete than initially quoted — but they didn’t charge any extra.
I look forward to hiring Mark and his team again in the future as I take on more home improvement jobs. A pleasure to work with!

We recently had a tile walk-​in shower and drying area installed by another contractor. The workmanship was extremely sub-​par. Mark made some wonderful suggestions on how to «fix the mess». His team came in and turned what was a seriously disappointing product into a wonderful end result. My wife and I are beyond pleased with both the finished product and the men who did the work. The entire experience far exceeded our expectations in bringing resolve to a sad situation. We would strongly recommend DeWolf Tile and Stone for any work within their scope! S&C

Mark DeWolf runs this family-​owned business out of Hillsboro, but works all over the Portland metro area. They recently re-​tiled our kitchen and cleaned/​re-​grouted the bathroom tile. The workers are long-​time employees of the company, highly skilled, efficient and accommodating. The resulting job is beautiful. I can think of no negatives for this company and highly recommend them.
