Walgreen’s is fine. It’s very, very sterile, and I guess I mean that as much literally as figuratively. It’s a square building. There are distinct rows of everything you’d expect from a national chain drugstore. Toothpaste, deodorant, brushes & combs, candy(hi Lesley!) and even a refrigerated aisle for the grab/go stuff or a gallon of milk. Walgreen’s gets an additional star from me for their Android app. It is, quite simply, an adaptation of the barcode scanner that will refill your prescriptions. Fire it up, scan 2 barcodes and BAM, my order is refilled by the next afternoon. If for some reason they don’t have whatever Rx you’ve ordered, they are pretty good about calling to inform you.

First off, let me start by saying that all Walgreens are NOT the same. This is by FAR, the WORST Walgreens, I’ve ever been too, and will NEVER go back! My shopping trip from hell, started at the checkstand, my $ 5.00 Walgreens rewards coupon wouldn’t scan, then when I tried to pay with my debit, it was offline, then I tried to pay cash, the register froze up, having me go to another checkstand to ring everything up all over again. I was actually told, by a clerk to leave the store. The Mgr. on duty, could care less. I found out the next day, I’d been charged twice, because I had scanned my debit card, when the machine crashed. It was unbelievable. We were there at least 20 minutes at the checkstand. Not once was I offered an apology. Now, I understand things happen, which are out of your control, like the machines crashing. However, it was the vile SERVICE we received, that just made the entire experience horrible. The district mgr, was nice enough, and ensured me, it would be taken care of. But I wouldn’t recommend this store for anything. I am very satisifed with the Walgreens down the road a bit in Aloha. They are welcoming, friendly and usually, eager to help you. That’s not what the Hillsboro store is like at all. Do yourself a favor, and shop at the Aloha location, and avoid this location at all costs!
