New Blue Ribbon Restaurant

The food here is not up to par. My family always gets take out from here. Last time I ever ate there food I asked for my meat medium well. It was literally bleeding out. Blood when I opened it up at home.
They also have MOLD in this place. If you ever eat here and get sick now you know why.

I am very disappointed. I read all the good reviews on the food and i have eaten here before and its ok. Not a fan of Portuquese rice, to me it has no flavor at all. So i ordered the Shrimp in garlic sauce which i love to eat and it smells so good. I get home and all the shrimp was not deveined. Yes the intestinal tract which is their poop were all intact. For me it grossed me out and $ 12 in the garbage. I would think a resaturant like this which is always packed would have the decency to clean their shrimop properly. Never again which really sucks sionce i live down the block and the food options around here suck. To the people who dont have a problem with this. Enjoy.

Have ordered food from here and have eaten here a few times. For take out I’ve had the chicken marsala and the bbq chicken. The chicken marsala is great and they add extra marsala wine and mushrooms. The bbq chicken is ok and nothing to write home about.
I’ve been to a few parties at the restaurant and the food is ok, not as good as some other halls but this was also a few years ago.

These plates here are meant for Godzilla! Let’s be honest, they serve you food on huge serving platters. That’s what they’re really meant for!
The red sangria is strong. You can really taste the alcohol in it.
There are little to no vegetarian options so I had the monkfish and shrimp rice stew. It was really good (though watch for bones). I kept eating it even when I was beyond the limits of full. I ended up taking half of it home for lunch the next day! Also, it was only about $ 13 for that whole dish!
Everyone around me had steak and they were exclaiming how good the beef was there.
For dessert, they ran out of everything except tiramisu and flan. We tried both of them. The tiramisu was pretty awesome. The flan was good also but the tiramisu definitely won in that battle.
I’m only taking a star off because it took them forever to get us the check and then their credit card machine was done. We weren’t informed for a while and ended up sitting there for 30 minutes waiting while they tried to fix it. We ended up paying in cash.

I came here on a Saturday mid-​afternoon hoping to have a nice late lunch/​early dinner with my sister. Upon walking in, I felt a little lost. There was no host at the door to direct us to a table, only glares from patrons manning the bar area (I supposed they’re the regular locals). Only one of the tables were occupied… We made a first attempt to get a spot by the bar, but that’s not what we had in mind, so we uncomfortably wandered around for a little until I decided to ask the bartender if we were supposed to sit ourselves. He affirmed «yea just sit anywhere»
Only one waitress on a Saturday = long wait time!
For a moment I though no one was going to serve us, then I noticed the single waitress making her rounds through the entire restaurant (which is pretty big and spacious)… When she finally got to us (my sister and I), she handed us a menu, took our drink orders, and quickly disappeared. She was very helpful in helping us decide since neither my sister or I had ever been to a Portuguese restaurant before.
I ordered penne with sea food, she’d went with some assortment of sea food over rice. Food was nothing extraordinary. Tho you sure get a lot for your money! Let’s just say I could make two more lunches out of the left overs I took home. Overall experience was not very up to par… Don’t think I’ll be going back.

I always order their chicken Marsala because its so delicious! Reasonably priced and the food is very good!

This place is a local gem. If you go there to eat you’ll find yourself surrounded by a bunch of portuguese and brazilian locals that call this their second home. Eat your meal with the entertainment of one of many soccer games on the screen. Its a quaint place to go but not for its atmosphere.
That being said the back hall is big and accommodating for parties. Great little hall there you don’t really anticipate and very well priced for the amount of food.

This is a nice local place in hillside. They have two bars and a large hall, if your just want to stop in for a drink and a little food you can eat at the one bar by the pool table. If you go with a few friends the other side of the bar is a little classier and have a bunch of tables to sit down at.
Food: This food here is good, if you go you must try the shrimp in galic sauce appitizer, and the clams in green sauce, they are both amazing. For luch they make a nice fish fillet sandwhich which is decently priced. The last time i was in there i ordered the salmon off the special menu, and it was out of this world. A large piece the size of a steak, well seasoned, that came with potatoes and greens.
At the end of the meal i could not leave before having a little expresso and booze to bring the whole meal together.
I come to this place often and would recommmend it, but warning i can be a little pricey, meals 15 $ and a pitcher of wine will run you about 20 $.
