Still really good– I tried their tacos and have ordered them minimum of 6 times so far lmao never disappointing! My boyfriend gets a torta dinner and I get a taco dinner with a papa relleno because I need that in my life at all times and its always really good! Woop woop

I just started working in the area and was looking for something other than fast food. I came across Panchos Fusion this morning and I’m so glad I decided to give them a chance! I had the steak jibarrito and it was sooo good! The garlic sauce was yummy, the steak was cooked perfectly and the plantain was cooked and seasoned well. The rice that was served with it was mediocre and they could have kept the fries but the jibarrito was totally on point! Can’t wait to try other menu items!

The marinated pork tacos are absolutely amazing you will not order tacos from another restaurant once you have tried them. Take advantage of their taco Tuesday special.

We were so disappointed in this restaurant. I tried to believe you could get good Puerto Rican food in the suburbs. We were sadly mistaken. The arroz con gondules tasted like it was from an instant minute rice. The steak meat from the Jibarito sandwich was tough and did not have any flavor. How disappointing. The service was mediocre. Stick to the drive to Chicago if you want real Puerto Rican food, like La Bomba on Armitage Ave., Ponce on North Ave. or Sabor Latino on North Ave. Stay away from this place.

What a gem of a restaurant! The food is great, waitress pleasant and helpful, price is right. Blackened tilapia to die for. Home made tamales, yum. Full service bar.

Really enjoyed the food here love that it’s a mix between Mexican and Puerto Rican! The price points are reasonable and the food has great flavor! Can’t wait to give this place another go!

I found out about this restaurant from a coworker. She kept bringing in food that smelled so good, and I couldn’t take it anymore. She told me there was a «Mexican-Puerto Rican fusion» restaurant practically down the street from our office. She offered me some yuca she had ordered, and it was simply divine. I’ve ordered my own food from Pancho’s a couple of times. They’ve never let me down. I used to order via phone but now I order online. The staff is always pleasant; if there is an issue with my order, they contact me and ask if I’d like a substitution. The orders always arrive quickly and the delivery drivers always bring my order hot, fresh and accurate. So far, I have ordered the cheese enchiladas, the vegetarian tacos, horchata, and platanos maduros. Everyone at work asks me, «what smells so good?» when I bring my Pancho’s order back to my desk. Unfortunately for them, I don’t care to share. ;-) I hope to one day eat in at Pancho’s. But for now, I’m very happy with ordering and having the food delivered to me. They also have pickup/takeout available. The prices are very reasonable and the food is worth it.

I wish there was a way that Unilocal could have told me this place was here without me having missed a year of its existence before I searched for jibaritos nearby and then found it through Unilocal. All those jibaritos missed! However, I have to say, from the first time I went a few months ago, to more recently, the menu keeps getting smaller. I am very sad that they don’t have what they offered in the past. I was hoping to try the other things. Maybe when it gets busier, they’ll expand it back?

Are here a couple times recently. It seemed to get worse each time… And it’s a shame too! I really wanted this place to be great. It’s supposed to be a Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican fusion place. The food on the first trip was okay. I ordered the baked chicken and onions. We had several other dishes(I can’t remember them all.). They were okay. I remember the horchata was the worst I’d ever had(Way too sweet on two separate times — I always give people a second opportunity, in the off-chance that I caught them on a bad day.) Ice cream treats are fine, but they are over-priced! Mofongo: C(Not tasty) Chicken and Cebollitas: A(tasty and plenty to eat) Tacos: B(Seasoned okay, but tacos are hard to mess up) Horchata: F(Way too sweet — like melted ice cream) Cleanliness: C(Average) Service: A(Attentive) Price: B(A little pricey for what you get) Variety: A(Mexican, Puerto Rican and Cuban options) Location: B(Hillside on Butterfield) Not a place that I would go back to again. I gave them three tries, and it was worse and worse each time. Many better options within reasonable distance.

I would give this place 5 stars because I loved steak jibarito I ordered, but my friend ordered the green chilaquiles that came with steak and the meat was very tough to chew and he wasn’t very pleased with his food. Overall the service was good and the place is pleasant.

I have been going to this restaurant since it open. I absolutely love it. I am there almost every week and slowly working my way through the menu. I keep a menu in the car and number in my phone. I take as many people there to share such great food. The staff is very friendly and would be happy to make recommendations on what they like or if it’s your first time trying something different. The Jibarito with Lechon was fantastic. I say if you are looking for something different this is the place to go and explore.

Did you see all those amazing photos of the food? The photos probably gave me TOO much expectation for the place. Had the Jibarito with Lechon and thought it was good. However the plantain was a little too hard for me as I end up taking one layer off. The Parrillada was also good. I didn’t enjoy any of my tacos,(Al Pastor, Pollo, Chorizo) I think it was because I didn’t eat it right away. I ate them about a hour after they were made. So the flour tortilla was already soggy. What personally kind of turned me off this place is the setup of the restaurant. It’s congested when you walk in. I felt like sardines waiting with the other 7 people in line with me. You have the jumbo menu with photos on two different sides of the wall. When you directly walk in if you’re lucky you don’t have to walk past 5 people already sitting down slightly blocking the menu/Ice cream/flavor water/candy The dining room tables just feels out of place. I would have felt more inclined to eat there if it was setup more like Buona/Culver where they bring your food to your table. While standing in line to place my order. I notice one of the patrons who had just eaten had to get up and stand in line to pay his bill. His waiter brought him the check but was too busy at the cash register. taking orders to come back.(The waiter was waved by another employee to take care of it but she was only able to do that to after about two minutes dealing with n agitated customer she was already attending too) It was only three tables being seated and about 7 – 8 people waiting for takeout) I just didn’t feel like they handled the regular customer that was already there. Oh! I was overcharged for two items. Although I understand how it happen…“I want 3 tacos. 1 Al Pastor, 1 Pollo, 1 Chorizo” I got charged for 3 Al Pastor, 1 Pollo, 1Chorizo) I take it that it was probably because my mention of three tacos at the begging but I repeated myself again so this really shouldn’t have happened, but it didn’t help that she kept looking away interrupting me dealing with another staff that was taken someone else order right next to me. When given my food I had an odd feeling cause two of the staff kept looking in the bag like they found something wrong, So when I got home and seen that I was given THREE al pastor I was irritated and somehow didn’t see the pollo(at first) So I called in to get this straighten out. I mention both my problems about being overcharged for two extra al pators and not having 1 pollo. «what’s your name my man, What’s your address my man. We give it to you next time my man» I’m sure that’s not the way you suppose to speak to customer’s my man.

The guacamole is some of the best I’ve had. Not bland and effortless like other restaurants. 5 star for sure. Otherwise all the tacos where OK, Chicken, Steak, and Barbacoa. The Al pastor taco was far better and was very rich in flavor and seasoning. The Carne Asada Tampiquena was the big letdown. Unfortunate at its $ 14 price tag. I asked for it medium and it was well done, no pink at all. This made it dry and chewy. The refriend beans were how I like them. They were not too dry but not so runny that they need a spoon. I like the texture of the rice though. Light and fluffy and not a sticky ball like some other places. The chips where awesome. I like the thicker chips but find they are often TOO crunchy and wear down your jaw. This where thick enough to scoop the guac but didn’t fall apart all over the place. Entire meal also included four 1 oz salsas. The green was simple in flavor but packed some nice heat that went well with the beef side of tacos. The red salsa tasted very fresh and was rich with chopped veggies. We’ll be back for sure to try some more items. The Al pastor alone is worth a revisit.

Man… I haven’t had one thing here that has been bad. Either delivery or dine in, the food and experience have been excellent! I’ve had the Pork and Steak Sandwich — both great. I had the Pork Jibarito and the Egg/Chees/Ham sandwich, all good! For good, well-known(sometimes hard to find) Puerto Rican food… This is the spot!

Found this place on grubhub the other day. I’m so glad I did! Just about everyone in the accounting department ended up ordering from this place and we were all really happy about picks. 2 of us ordered the jibarito which was really good. It was slightly salty, but still good. I was so full I could only eat half. I ate the other half yesterday for lunch and it tasted good even after reheating. I only wish it was slightly more garlicky. I love garlic lol. The arroz con gandules could use some work. I’ve been spoiled by my friends moms arroz. 2 others ordered the cubano. They said they were good, but wished it had actually came on the panini bread its supposed to. 2 had alcupprias(sp) they said they were deeelicious. 1 had the pasteles, but she didn’t say much about them. Fyi these are made from pork. :(which makes me sad bc I realllllly wanted a pastele. 1 had the quesadilla/rellano lunch special, but I didn’t hear anything about his lunch either. I’d definitely be back when in the the mood for a jibarito. Way better than having to go to the city.

For the jibarito review: See first review below. Just tried the steak meal. Let me tell you, the price versus the portion is WELL worth it. The steak dinner was $ 13 something. I got a big juicy steak with an enchilada and a pepper which was delicious. The rice was okay(this meal came with Mexican rice, I prefer the Puerto Rican rice). I guess this is mostly a Puerto Rican place so I don’t expect the rice to be all that when Mexican places can’t even get it right! The only thing, I wish they gave bigger salsas. The Salsa they gave me were so tiny! Oh and the ensalada they gave me was very fresh! I also got tamales for work, so I said I would update later. They have my fav which is the veggie(cheese with jalapeño) which they did pretty well. The chicken was also good and the pork had a different taste but was still good. So excited I can get tamales close to home now since my other tamale place is a bit of a drive, but I loved loved the veggie! My boyfriend got flautas one time, I took a bite and they were very good. Big flautas with chicken and very crispy! Again, the wait is long! Took them 20 minutes to get my food out to me. Definitely order ahead for pick up! They also deliver. Glad they did not disappoint me because I really want to love this place since it’s close to home and the Latin options are lacking over here! Will be back to try more because they have an EXTENSIVE menu! Also, every time I go in the ladies are always so nice unlike other places in the area. The place is also very clean. Btw, I referred my co-workers for lunch options. They loved the extensive menu! And tamale options!

Tried this place for the 1st time yesterday. I have always been bummed out there are zero puerto rican restaurants nearby. Im not fond of having to risk getting shot to enjoy an alcapurria so I was so excited when I found out about this place. My mom ordered chuletas and they were BOMB. I tried their lechon asado and was not dissapointed. My boyfriend had a jibarito. I hardly ever order this because it is not an authentic puerto rican dish, but I will say, this one was freaking delicious! Ill be going back for more soon!
