I think the restaurant provided speedy service and the Phở was very good. I liked the soup base and the vegetables were fresh

Save your money the food is horrible only reason why I gave it one star so I could right a review my food looked like fried maggots. I paid almost 14.00 and had to throw it way.

Disappointed! Ordered the BBQ chicken and was very dry. And while we had 6 people sitting on the table our server only gave us 3 cups of water. And on top of that she didn’t give us any refills. Instead of saying anything to her we just didn’t tip her.

Love the dry saimen noodles and fried rice at this place. Also love their bubble teas, especially the Thai tea flavor. The fried spring rolls are also pretty hefty and delicious. The staff here are always friendly, and they’re even willing to accommodate large parties in the middle of their dining space.

The food is edible. Not bad, not good but the service is bad. Not only did they overcharge me by a WHOLEDISH but they yelled at my children, messed up an order and were overall VERY rude. I thought I could forgive them after the dead flys in their meat case, but this is it. I WILLNEVERGOBACK.

We came here after reading some not so good reviews about this place. We really wanted some phở so we decided to give it a go. First off this place has no decorations at all. There is so much potential to make this look welcome and inviting for the customers. The floor is beautiful, but the walls are barren. They need to hang up some artwork of some sort on the walls. The bathroom was pretty gross. It looks like they never clean it. The phở was actually pretty good. Not the best we have ever tried, but definitely not the worst. I ordered the meat ball one and I received a huge amount of meat balls. I do wish they put more green onion in the broth and more bean sprouts on the shares veggie plate. The broth was flavorful so I can’t complain too much. Parking is in the front of the restaurant and was easy to find. It’s located near a Walmart.

2 stars for their crispy chicken! everything else blah blah blah… SMH! service: friendly staff however if you want or need something you need to wave them down! they have no time for service unless it’s time to clear your table off(for the tip). poor disappointment

Had the Special Dry Samin and it wasn’t that special. The Crab Rangoon’s were good though.

Roast duck is always good. Ginger chicken or the roast pork are also tasty. The melon boba and thai tea boba are the good flavors. The french iced coffee is nice and strong! The service can be a little slow, but thats usually when its packed.

This restaurant has your fair share of Chinese and Vietnamese food. The seating area is pretty comfortable, booths to the left and right and tables and chairs in the middle. Service is pretty good and the menu has a very good amount of food to order. The Ginger chicken is my fave at this restaurant. The prices are very affordable and the portions are a nice size.

I blame this place for my current phở and duck addiction. I can distinctly recall being a middle schooler and coming here about once a week with my mother. Of course at that time it was still relatively new and busy, it has since lost it’s hype. I always get the seafood phở with extra beef meatballs and well an order of duck if they have it. The phở is very satisfying, but is it the best phở I’ve ever had? No. They usually just have the broth, the noodles, and then whatever meat you ordered. It doesnt include some of the things other phở places include like onions, cilantro, garlic, etc. The duck is delicious, but the last few times I’ve been they haven’t had any, I nearly cried. I have very fond memories of this place so I will most definitely stop by whenever I’m in town, but it has definitely gone down in quality since I was a child. Or maybe now that I’ve grown I actually know how to differentiate between amazing and average.

Fast and good service. Seafood chow mien and half fried chicken was good. I just didn’t like the artificial crab meat and the crab rangoon was not great.

This place is junk. Been eating here the last 8yrs but most recent visit sealed the deal. Ordered the seafood chow funn and was weird. Noodles were gummy n lacked flavor. LITERALLY2 shrimp along w/diced scallop and imitation fish. Also had the choi sum w/beef and was ridiculously BLAND. Food was served cold, service even colder, lol. BAD food for Hilo. So many other Asian options available, skip this place.

Decent food, no complaints. Service is non-existent, but friendly enough and I’m usually happy being left alone for the most part. As someone who doesn’t eat meat I will say the menu doesn’t have many options for vegetarians, but enough that you will have a few choices. Prices are very reasonable, and there are always specials to be had.

There isn’t much décor at 1 Plus 1 Café and the setup of the tables are all along the walls, with bigger tables in the middle of the room for larger parties. Right when you walk in you’re greeted by a huge fish tank with little tiny fish inside. They’re for decoration only. This kind of confuses me. Since this is the only decoration in the restaurant, why didn’t they put more effort into making it look nice? Oh well. The service is friendly and we get our food fairly quickly. Some of my favorites to dine on are the crab and cream cheese rangoons(like won tons), spring rolls, chicken lettuce cups, and sweet sour chicken. Also, their boba teas are very delicious and smooth. I can’t find too much fault in this place, but compared to other restaurants that serve similar food, 1 Plus 1 Café is just okay for me. I don’t crave their food like I do with other places, so that’s the reasoning behind my 3 star review.

Friendly atmosphere, big bathrooms and good service. Overall I recommend coming here if all other Vietnamese cuisines closed. That happened to be the case when I was searching for dinner, this place seems to be the only viet food open on a Sunday. Prices are fair but depending on what you order you can get a huge plate of food(ginger chicken) or small tiny portions(garlic shrimp, even the shrimp is small) Had 3 – 4 dishes came out to be $ 60 Only last resort would I come back

I have been here several times and was not impressed with any of the items that I ordered. In particular, their phở was a disappointment. The broth wasn’t very ‘clean’ tasting and lacked flavor. A tip to potential customers: employees do not come by frequently to refill your water, so make sure you make it stretch!

Very cheap appetizers and phở. But the noodles, oh no. Not the business. It was ok, it tasted kinda weird and undercooked. The meet was alright also. but kudos to the broth… delish! Service was ok, expect to be served WHEN they want to serve you. It’s Hilo, people take their time.
