Worse Americano triple shot I have ever had in my existence! This looked like watered down milk not even a hint of coffee in it! I am beyond disappointed it tasted like there was no coffee in it at all!
It was so bad I poured it out because it tasted like crap! This was absolutely a disappointment! I even told them to fill the cup halfway so it would guarentee it to be stronger brewed.
Not the case for sure! How does a coffee shop ruin their coffee? I told a photo with the bottoms of the coffee to show the color.
What a waste of coffee… or lack there of or whatever it’s called. Will not recommend this place and highly suggest you go elsewhere!

If the coffee wasn’t good they would get 2 stars. We have had coffee here a few times and it is always good. The sandwiches are decent the service is ridiculously slow. Iced coffee is good even the coffee frappé. Turkey melt is decent, could go a bit lighter on the sprouts. Chicken Caesar wrap is better. Probably won’t go here again unless in a jam.

Stopped by here every morning for breakfast and had one of the best breakfast sandwiches that I’ve ever had. Coffee was great as well but the breakfast sandwich was something to remember. Ordered it every morning a turkey and egg on a croissant with pesto. This place is a must stop if you are ever in Hilo.

We (group) had smoothies! Mom papaya smoothie, Dad coffee smoothie. Me chicken caesar wrap; added avocado… Mmm. Mom had large salad. Couldn’t finish. Dad, chicken cranberry wrap. Everyone seemed happy & enthusiastic! Good times on vacation! Woot woot!

Really cool place. Great coffee. My friend got a shark bite which is chocolate and coffee type of shake. Heaven! I ordered a egg sandwich and didn’t realize it came with pesto and they were really nice and made me a new one. Greatly appreciated that. Two thumbs up :)

The ice cream was delicious, but I wish they had more flavors to choose from, they only had 1 chocolate flavor :(also, the sugar cone was a little stale, I’m also surprised they didn’t offer waffle cones. The vanilla was very good! Overall, it was good, but I will be trying other shops before going back to this one.

This is a cute coffee shop with good coffee and espresso. I had a mac nut latte with coconut milk. It was exactly what I needed. It took a little longer than expected to get my coffee, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re on island time. It was a nice reminder to slow down and enjoy my surroundings.

Super bummed with our experience here. Went in with our family for ice cream and milkshakes for 8 people. It took about ½ an hour or longer because they put through at least 5 other milkshakes In between our order. We had to remind them that we were waiting for our milkshakes, and the kids had fully finished their ice cream before we were done.
They were extremely inconsistent, not even close to the same between 5 milkshakes we got, like they didn’t know how much ice cream to put in.
I understand being busy as I own a business on the big island, but generally you serve your customers in a first come first serve basis quickly and efficiently.
Tasty and I could see how if they worked on consistency and service that that will do well.

I LOVE the coffee here! My usual is iced Americano with coffee ice cubes (for an extra 50 cents). I come here for work and this is a must stop for my morning coffee. The food here is yummy too but it can take long depending on how busy they are. Pesto bagel is so good!

I also go for the breakfast English muffin… they put pesto on it and it’s made to order so it’s piping hot.

Shark’s coffee is an alright place. Please get air conditioning for your employees. I cannot stand to see their sad suffering faces.

We stopped in for a quick coffee and snack before our long ride on Saddle Road back to the Kona side of the island. They have converted an old gas station to a covered outdoor patio where you can sit and enjoy your coffee or coffee drink. That’s kinda cool.
The coffee tasted pretty good, and that is the most important thing. BUT, they served our espressos in large cups. Major pet peeve of mine: practically no coffee bar serves espresso in the appropriate way.
When coffee joints that serve espresso start serving it in appropriate cups with appropriately sized spoons, I will give them more stars. I got mine in an 8 oz. coffee cup. Not impressed.

The bagel with cream cheese and pesto makes for an excellent breakfast. The bagel is toasty, the cream cheese and pesto is slathered on thick — purely delicious!
The GF macadamia nut brownie is also good — very rich and chocolate-​filled, with a hint of peanut butter.

Sharks is the best! They have the best ice cream, the best smoothies, and the best sandwiches. The prices are pretty reasonable compared to other places near by and the portions are large. My favorite thing to do is hangout under the covered lot in front.

I got an iced coffee which was pretty good but full of ice and was gone after a few sips. My husband’s mocha wasn’t even stirred and all the flavor was down at the bottom. The flavor of the coffee itself would be four stars. Have tried several coffee places on the big Island and this one was not my favorite.

Finally got to try this place. The London Fog was excellent. I know! It’s easy to make at home but this one had the perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness that StarBucks couldn’t master. Nice area to sit down outside with someone even with the traffic noise. Inside was a little hot. Service was good. Burrito was good but needed some beautifying.

Oh man, this place gets a super ono and damn it’s good from me. They’re also located in an ancient gas station location, where you can sit outside under the old gas pump island and sip your brew.
Hot summer days require iced coffee and boy does this place hit it. Not only is the coffee STELLAR all on it’s own, but they use… drum roll pleez… COFFEE ICE CUBES! Yes, my friends, Coffee. Ice. Cubes.
I wear my new Hilo Shark’s coffee t-​shirt with pride as I visit my local wannabe iced coffee dives here at home and ask WHERE ARE THE COFFEE ICE CUBES???
Oh, and they have sandwiches, wraps, smoothies and ice cream, some tourist take-​away items like sacks of local mac nuts and coffee. Oh, and they have super friendly, lovely staff.
What’s not to love?

Love the local atmosphere and the choices that you can get. Espresso is very good and temperature is just right, nuttier than most
Got to witness good music jam with good friends, breakfast burrito was outstanding, Kale smoothie was bomb and cappuccino was good. Try it out!
