They are the best in Hilo! They take their time even if they are busy. You get your money’s worth!!!

They’re good and take their Time. They don’t rush you out like some other nail salons. Also they now have really good deluxe pedicures where you can choose from a MENU of a VARIETY of DELUXEPEDI’s ranging from GREENTEA, VITAMIN C, LAVENDER To relieve stress… they had packets of scrub, mask, and lotion all depending on the pack you choose from the menu. It was so good I really enjoyed it and I will probably be getting the deluxe pedi from now on because it was so worth it.

I’ve been going to Nails Tech for a while and when my best friend wanted to have a girls day out, I suggested getting our nails done. She made an appt with Pageant Nails who assured us that we would be able to sit together and do our nails together but after waiting 45 mins to get served there and seeing walk ins who arrived after us get served first(see my review on their page), I told her we should leave and go to Nails Tech. When we arrived here, we were served immediately(no appt needed). We were also seated right next to each other! Mimi served me right away and my friend waited 5 mins for the other girl to wash her hands and such. Total time spent there was one hour for the both of us. Super fast yet great quality service! I would definitely recommend this place! People have reviewed saying its dirty. Yes I see acrylic dust on the table where our nails our done but I’ve seen a lot worse elsewhere. Other than that, it’s decent. Trust me when I say I would NOT go anywhere that is not clean enough for me to tolerate. The staff is very nice there and always tries to please you. They’re honest if they can’t do a certain design up front. I’ve been to places where the staff don’t even talk to me, where they drill my cuticles to the point where I’m left with cuts, and where my results were not what I wanted at all. Nails Tech has yet to disappoint me with anything! I highly recommend this place especially if you want to sit next to your friend and have that bonding time.

I wouldn’t have gone if I had realized how dirty this place is. There were thick layers of dust everywhere. My toes came out decent but my fingers are horrible. I could’ve done a better job. They’re filed crooked and she didn’t even paint it all the way. Also, she used the wrong color. Way overpriced. Never going again.

Although the pedicure was great this place is so dirty!!! Once I realized that, I wish I’d left right away. Yikes!

They use clean tools out of a new pack every time. The chairs and feet tub looked clean. Very good foot massage and price was more than reasonable. The girl working was extremely sweet and gave us a few ideas of where to go in town. I appreciated that. Only one thing, I noticed a lot of what looked like fruit flies flying around, but other than that it was a great experience!

I told myself I wouldn’t get a pedicure at all while living in Hawaii but my feet were looking pretty disgusting so I got it done. Although I think $ 25 is a bit too much for a pedicure at these kinds of places(but I know in HI prices for EVERYTHING is way higher), the service was pretty good AND they include a callus removal which costs an extra $ 6 at my usual place(in CA) even though the callus removal here isn’t as good, but it’s good enough. I had a good leg and foot massage which was great as well as I typically don’t have that included in a regular spa pedicure. Prices at nail salons in Hilo are pretty much all the same(I checked out Nicole’s Nails and a place near the Walmart). This is just the most convenient for me. I also had a lip waxing for $ 10. Again at my regular nail salon that usually goes for $ 6, but I was pleasantly surprised when Tracy(did my mustache and my pedicure on different visits) did above AND below my lip as well as plucking some stray facial hairs that I have(I’m a hairy beast). Well worth the extra $! –1 star because the nail polish collection isn’t very good so unless you just want shades of pink, red, a couple bright colors, a couple blues and purples, and glittery crap bring your own. It also has no ambiance whatsoever like Ghada said but I don’t care about that when getting a pedicure. They take credit cards(no American Express though) and you can leave a tip on it. Will make this my regular go to place in town for pedicures and mustache waxings :) Although I do not live in HI anymore, this was a great nail salon and probably one of the better nail salons I have ever been to in general.

Hands down, the BEST foot massage I have EVER had, and it was included with the $ 25 pedicure. I am tempted to get pornographic in describing the utter pleasure I felt during the foot massage. It was that good. And the pedicure is good too! The salon has no atmosphere to speak of, but the service is top notch. I totally messed up my big toe, and the gentleman who did my pedicure was so kind about doing that toe all over again. No snide remarks, no sighs or eye rolling. I was very impressed. I’m going back again tomorrow for just a manicure. I hope they give hand massages too.
