I will admit that I used to be a gold card holder and used to drink at Starbucks everyday of not twice a day. I do love the occasional Starbucks sugary drink, but I have since learned to enjoy coffee without all the additives to appreciate the purest taste. Having my own espresso machine at home now, I find that I drink Starbucks a lot less, but i do still enjoy their treats during the holidays and breakfast sandwiches.

One if the better, more consistent Starbucks that I go to. Always friendly and have samples frequently. Nice seating area inside. If you are in the mood for some Hilo mist, you can always pop a squat at the tables outside.

2÷19÷2010 I’m not going to review the coffee since most people who go to Starbucks know what they want. Besides, I’m not much of a coffee drinker. I go for the green tea, the occasional pastry or sandwich, and on a wild hair day, I get a Venti Iced Caramel Macchiato with extra caramel sauce stirred. Service is great. Everyone is very friendly. 99.9% of the time, they fufill my order exactly to my liking. I have been going here for the past few weeks to do homework. They have plenty of tables, a handicap desk, a couch, comfy chairs, and enough electrical outlets. The bathroom is always clean. The ambiance is, well, a Starbucks. It can get very loud sometimes or they may play the music a bit too loud, but it’s not a library and I can pretty much tune out anything when I’m focused on reading or writing. Some days are busier than others. Some times are busier than others. There’s really no pattern to it.

Busy location, which is probably why the restroom was pretty bad. Otherwise a typical Starbucks location. Probably made one of the best Caramel Frap I’ve tasted at a Starbucks.

Peppermint Mocha on a rainy evening in December. Enough said.

Yes I was in Hawaii where there’s supposedly great Kona coffee and many local coffee shops… but was still going to a shameless global chain like Starbucks. But I couldn’t resist the temptation. Nice cozy Starbucks that shares the same location as Border’s books in the Waiakea Center with Walmart. Menu was as expected but either the person taking the orders was screwing up or the person making the drinks was. We ordered 4 drinks and they got 3 of them wrong. And the place was not even that crowded. Bottom line: Starbucks — thumbs up even in Hawaii. Incompetent workers — thumbs down.
