I was in need of a streamstress to sew a skirt for my daughter. Chandra called me back as I inquired with her about my sewing needs. We were able to meet up and get the specifics squared away. She was able to get this done for me way ahead of my date and I was surprised! Her honesty and consciousness really gave me a good feeling! She is truly someone I will definitely return to for my sewing needs!

Chandra is the woman behind Syousan! who makes all of the sewing magic happen!
I visited her business for the first time in 2010 to alter my prom dress. She was very kind and professional when my mother and I went in for my appointment. The dress came out wonderfully and it fit VERY well! None of our family friends that sew wanted to touch it because it had a bubble hem, but she was able to maintain the hem and alter it to fit me better. I was so impressed and satisfied with her work, that my mother and I returned to her again in 2011 to alter my senior prom dress. Again, she was able to maintain the flowy look of my floor-​length chiffon dress and hem it exactly how I wanted it!
Now in 2013, I attend college off-​island. I bought a mid-​sleeved shift dress a while back that I never wore because it was way too baggy-​looking on me. I made an appointment to see Chandra again to hem it. After two years, she still remembered me (gotta be Hilo)! I brought it in on a Friday morning and she hemmed it over the weekend so that I could have it before I went back to college. I love the way the dress looks on me now and I love that she was able to do a good and professional job even though I asked her to rush it!
To shorten both sleeves cost $ 8.00 and to shorten the dress’ length cost $ 10.00. What a deal!
This is one of my favorite businesses in Hilo for three reasons: professionalism, quality, and friendliness. If you want someone to alter your clothes well and in a timely manner, go and see Chandra! She can do anything, from formal dresses to casual wear. There’s a reason why I don’t get my clothes altered anywhere else!
