No, seriously, it really is service with a smile from the owner :). She smiled the whole time and is very friendly. Shaved ice was awesome too!

I love Wilson’s by the Bay! The owner is so sweet and she’s very friendly. The shave ice is super soft and I love the lihing mui candies she also sells.

Authentic shave ice! This place is what Matsumoto’s shave ice used to be. Great selection of flavors, prices are good, fast and friendly service. Definitely a must when visiting Hilo!

My friends and I stopped by after a long and hot day at the beach. There was only one girl working and about four people in front of us in line. It took a while for us to put in our order. A little too long for me.
One of my friends wanted a keiki sized cup with ice cream. Their policy is that any shaved ice with ice cream costs $ 4, even if the keiki is normally $ 1.50. She got it, she said it tasted like they use Meadow Gold, she wasn’t impressed. Me? I opted for the keiki with half vanilla, half li hing mui. The flavor wasn’t great. Their syrup isn’t the best and the texture of the ice isn’t that soft.
I would go back for sure. Just go in understanding you’re not getting the best shaved ice.

Da Best «Ice Shave» in Town. Finest texture ice and very friendly service. Delicious ice cream was a nice add. Melt in your mouth.

Don’t forget to add the cream/​yogurt to your shaved ice. Trust me, It’ll make a huge difference!
I stopped by here after shopping at the farmers market nearby. Its a small little place. My family and I ordered almost everything on the menu just to try it out. Its alright without the yogurt. So, don’t forget the cream/​yogurt for a dollar more (I think).

Just not impressed. This new listing wasn’t up when we went to Hawaii, so we walked around forEVER trying to find this store. The line didn’t look that long, but it took quite awhile before it was our turn. There was only one girl working [I don’t know if this is normal?], and she seemed a little overwhelmed. I liked the lilikoi flavor, but we had ice cream as well, and the ice cream dripped through the paper cone like no other. The more you know, I guess…
Anyway, the consistency is pretty fluffy, but not as fluffy as I was hoping… and it got really dense really quickly. Oh well — at least I got to enjoy the first half of my shaved ice [before it all dripped on me].
