Fountain Spa

I love this place. I found out about it at a vacation rental stand outside of the IHOP on Hilton head island. So my girlfriend and I decided to go. I absolutely loved the therapeutic message/​deep tissue for 80 minutes. I have never been more relaxed. Awesome place to visit if you live here or are just visiting. Must go again.

I’ve been getting massages for a long time. I was traveling and needing some work done so I looked to see where I could get in. was a bit concerned that I wasn’t having my normal therapist back home. However my experience at the fountain spa was amazing! Therapist Madalyn expertly worked her magic and gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I wish she was my regular therapist now!

Excellent massage by Julie followed by awesome pedicure. Checked out some other places but this one was perfect for elder mom and sister. Polite professional staff and nice relaxed setting.

Great place! I had an amazing reflexology foot massage. She also did my hands and head, and my therapist was excellent. The room was comfortable and peaceful. Very good service overall. I’d definitely come back!

The location/​ambiance isn’t quite as nice as I pictured for a «Spa» but it seems like they never are. I had Sara for a wrap and massage and she was Fantastic — 5 stars for Sara!

Worth every penny. The massage was done with just the right amount of pressure and the surroundings were very relaxing.

Ooo La La! Debbie was fabulous for my oh so wonderful reflexology session! Highly recommend! Staff was welcoming & kind. I will be back on my next trip to Hilton Head!

I also bought a groupon here for the shellac manicure and pedicure. The woman, i think owner of the establishment was extremely rude and did not want to accomodate me with an appointment. She told me to call back in four days. Once I called back, she got me an appointment but demanded I give her my groupon order number details while driving. I told her I’d text it to her when I stopped. Once I actually got the manicure done, i was told it was an «express manicure,» whatever that means, (no massage). The polish looked old and crusty and it did not last. They also had no display of what colors were even offered. Two days later my gels were peeling off and obviously a very old polish was used. When I inquired about leaving cash for the tip I was TOLD what I was SUPPOSED to tip. And told i was «supposed to have been told that.» Terrible customer service and terrible quality.

Bikini wax by Melissa was the least Painful one I have ever had! She was wonderful. I will def. be back to see her and get a facial too!

I love a thorough massage. And this is the place! I’m on HHI 3 – 4 times a year and always make an appointment with either Astar or Vicki. They are so kind — spending extra time with their clients to understand any trouble spots or places to avoid. They will pretty much do anything they can do to get your kinks out! If you live here, they offer a reasonable 6-​month or 12-​month package of massages or facials. They also have a «nail room» for deluxe mani/​pedis. Love it here! Worth every penny!

I Love these guys!!! I just had the greatest massage along with the greatest facial. Julie, the well trained and very informative massage therapist, not only got my problem areas but made me feel comfortable and relaxed. After the massage my body felt like jelly instead of the tense mass it usually is. Ginger did my facial. And she did an Amazing job. My face feels refreshed, clean and according to everyone it was glowing. I would highly recommend the services at foundation spa!

The only reason I went here was because they were offering a groupon deal for a mani pedi. When I called to make my appointment, the woman I spoke with was rude and condescending. Basically mocking me for thinking they would be able to do mani pedi’s past 5pm. I had to make a weekend appointment to which I had to wait two weeks for an opening. She told me my appointment time and took my groupon number. I show up two weeks later at my scheduled appointment time to discover that the spa wasn’t even open at 10 like it was supposed to be. The lady who was suppose to open that day was running late to there were three customers waiting outside the door. The employee finally showed up and let us all in. When she asked if I had an appointment I had said yes and gave her my information. She said they had no record of my appointment and they were already double booked. I had to leave and come back later. I was told to call back later to see if there was avaiability. When I called, I spoke to the same rude woman who booked my appointment who didn’t take any of the blame and said it was my fault. At this point it wasn’t even worth my time to reschedule because I do not want to do business with people who are rude to their customers. I will never go there again and hope people considering going there take this review into account. Save your time and money.
These people do not know how to run a business or how to treat their customers.

After some research about other places on the island, we chose this because they could accommodate us quickly. It was great and just what we needed at this point in our vacation. We purchased the couples massage and it was very well done. The only thing that would have made it perfect would be better sound proofing of the room. You could hear cars outside and other customers arriving. Overall, very good, very professional and very relaxing.

The place was hard to find but we figured it out after. It’s a small cozy nook. I had a deep tissue massage and my friend had a hot oil massage that we both fell asleep during the massages because it was that good. It was probably the best deep tissue massage I have ever had, just the right consistency and not too soft. I felt fantastic afterwards. I still can’t believe I dozed off. We will be returning plus they always have coupons which made it more reasonable.

It was obviously a pretty small establishment. My girlfriends and I were the only clients there. The ambiance is extremely relaxing (I love those lobby chairs!). Both staff members I interacted with were extremely kind and friendly. The manager even went out of her way to bring in another staff member to accommodate all of us at the same time.
I got a facial, which was nice… but I’ve definitely had better at other places back home.
Not sure I’d return, but it was a pleasant experience.

An appointment was made, and the client showed up 10 minutes before the alleged time. After waiting 25 minutes (until 15 minutes after the appointment time) and not seeing a single human being or hearing a noise, even though we made it abundantly clear we were there, we left. Okay, things happen, right? Well, we received a phone call 10 minutes later demanding the client, who happened to be driving. Immediately the owner of this «business» catches an attitude with me, chastising me for not waiting longer because they allegedly had a sign saying to make ourselves comfortable. When I explained that we’d been there for 25 minutes, including 15 after the supposed appointment time, the owner sprung more attitude, acting like our departure was unrealistic. Rest assured, we will never return, and I’d advise all Unilocalers from the island to avoid this hellhole. There are enough nail salons, massage parlors, and spas on the island to run this rude, arrogant owner out of business. And she very well deserves it. Avoid like the plague. You’re welcome.
