If you don’t mind playing a 5 hour round, then play here. Course management was terrible, we were signed up to play with 2 others, but the starter sent us off early. Not a good idea, at one point there were 2 foursomes and us waiting to tee off on a par 3. Course was not in great shape for the price, we knew the greens had been plugged last week, but that was not the issue. Definitely not the course for serious golfers. There are way to many other courses to play on Hilton Head, I would definitely not recommend playing the Fazio course.

After calling the club house directly we called the main number for all 3 courses. Clearly the course workers knew more about getting players on the course. They charged us $ 60 to play 18 holes. The main number quoted us $ 95. I’m guessing that’s why the course was fairly open for a Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. Course was decent for just been aerated a week prior. Once the holes recover the course should be in decent shape for the price. That’s if they charge $ 60 and not $ 95 that corporate quoted.

This course is part of a trio of championship golf courses in Palmetto Dunes. It’s a great course to practice your swing after the Winter hiatus. The staff is very accommodating and courteous. The course is well designed. Womens tee positions are challenging, but not intimidating. George Spinella is a good teaching pro. The pro shop has a good selection of clothing and equipment.

After playing all 3 courses at Palmetto Dunes, this was the least maintained course by far. It is definitely challenging, but doesn’t make up for it by being super pretty. Go to Arthur hills instead.
