So many tacos to choose from $ 4 each. Awesome fusion-Modern-Mexican type of place. Beautiful atmosphere for a strip mall restaurant. Service was wonderful. The deconstructed bean dip was out of this world and very fairly priced for an app. Interactive iPad-like devices on the tables. One for each kid! Kept our kids occupied with games so we could talk as adults.

Decided to try this place based on the other reviews. Great service, great atmosphere, but the food was sub par. Would not return.

Good tacos with several varieties to choose from. Extensive tequila selection with flights. Try the salsa sampler. Always good. Recommended!

Walking in, we could tell service was a little shaky b/c the host was running back and forth running food/seating people/taking orders. It was tiring to watch. There was nobody waiting, but we were told the wait would be 30 minutes. I typically don’t mind waiting… but it is hard to wait when you see at least 5 open tables & then are sat at said table 30 minutes later. Our server was nice, I think she was new because we had to keep requesting to refill drinks, were looking for her to order, etc. Of note, whoever was expediting food was great. He would come out after food was served to make sure everything was okay and address anything. AVOIDTHEBACKROOM! It was horrible, it is right in front of the kitchen and fills with smoke from the grill(they really need to work on the ventilation). I noticed it was a little smoky when we were sat, but didn’t realize the smoke would continue to build as we waited for our entrée. For an app, we got the trio of guacamole, queso & salsa. The chips and salsa was good. The queso was a little lumpy from un-melted cheese. Both the queso and guac could have used some seasoning. By the time our main dishes arrived, I was so nauseated from the smoke; I wasn’t able to eat my salad and took it home(it did taste good the next day!). Everyone else enjoyed their meal(burrito & a mix of tacos).

Excellent street-style tacos in a stylish yet comfortable space. The street corn(appetizer — on the cob w conjure cheese and sauce) and the Mexican cheese rice(side — a little bowl of decadent deliciousness) are must-trys. We had a pitcher of margaritas made with mescal — an off-the-menu upgrade our friendly server was happy to accommodate — and they tasted fresh, none of that syrupy pre-mix over-sweetness. Overall, great food, good value for Hilton Head. Will revisit.

Great food and great service. The street corn was fantastic as were the margaritas(highly recommend a mezcal). The tacos are amazing, I had the veggie, carne asada, and grilled shrimp — if I had to pick a fav: veggie! Don’t forget to save room for the churros, you won’t be disappointed.

This restaurant is excellent, a gem. . We had a chicken taco salad that was perfect. And the nachos were amazing. The best part is they have a guitarist!

Excellent experience. Sat at the bar and had Karen as our bartender. She was so knowledgeable and guided us through the entire menu of tequila. She was super attentive really knows her stuff. Recommended a few exceptional tastes of tequila and also mixed up a fantastic Margarita. Couldn’t say enough about her. The venue is very cool eclectic and their menu is very well priced. We will be back for sure.

I visited with my husband and two young children. We ate outside on the patio. I love the table consoles that they have which kept the kiddos busy. The server was very patient and friendly despite our numerous order changes. We ordered a variety of tacos and everything was very good. There were some minor errors with our orders but nothing worth complaining about especially since we had made so many changes. Lots of gluten-free options!!! Will definitely return!

Very yummy food, great service, tasty margaritas! We had party of 5 sitting directly by kitchen. The smoke coming from the grill is too much-not a good area to sit. By the time we left, our eyes were burning really bad from smoke. We thought maybe they had had a fire earlier in the day, but sever said no. Love this Mexican restaurant but not this table area.

Most beautiful Margarita, the Hibiscus. Delicious guac and they were playing Gypsy Kings:) Love the simple home made artwork.

Live music on a monday night which calls for a designation of Margarita Monday! There was not a wait which was nice. We had also called ahead to inform them that our party of 5 will be coming. You never really know what type of crowds can occur during this off peak season. The ambiance is quite delightful. I am not sure if they always have live music on monday but I’d suggest calling ahead to see what the happenings are. This is great for a crowd on vacation wanting to enjoy themselves. A little side note: this is not your complimentry chips and salsa kind of joint. Think gastropub-higher end bar food. What caught my eye was the pitcher of margarita. With this pitcher, you also get a side of grand marnier. It was a serious side to splash your individual glasses. Amazing! Street corn appetizer was really good. How could you butcher grilled corn? There was just the right amount of chili aioli that was drizzled. I wish there was more cotija cheese crumbles on top and it’d be nice to have paprika sprinkled on top as well. I had ordered the tacos trio and it was nice to see the varieties offered. I had the carne asada which was actual slices of steak cooked med rare. The tacos were a resemblance of what street tacos would look like. The pork belly taco was a resemblance of al pastor tacos. There was a bit more of pineapple in it than I would rather prefer. The grilled shrimp taco was my least favorite. It tasted as though it was tossed in seasoning salt/old bay, grilled, and set on a bed of chili aioli. I’m not a big fan of mayo anything and it’s almost aways overdone. I’d much rather prefer some vinegar based cole slaw on top than the aioli. The mexican caesar salad was good. No frills. Leafy greens upon leafy greens is always a good sign. It was not overdressed and the perfect size to share among two people wanting a bit of fiber in the meal. Ask for a side of their in house salsa. They have a variety to choose from and its quite tasty especially if you like HOT. Their hottest salsa is smokey with hints of habanero that lingers after each bite. Overall, I would come back for sure. When ordering… I will be that person that will modify the set menu to my tastebuds.

Really laid back atmosphere serving cheap and well made tacos and an awesome selection of tequila. Our service was perfectly chill and competent, and I really really enjoyed the mexican salad offering for $ 7.50. This place understands how to do flavors. I highly recommend coming here for drinks and light fare outside one night.

We went to Holy Tequila last night for the first time. There was about a ten minute wait to get a table. The atmosphere is nice, nicely decorated. It took almost an hour to get our food. The margarita was only ok(seemed to get better as I was getting closer to the bottom, lol). When the food came out they were redeemed. The Thai chicken taco and the carne asada taco were delicious. The carnitas taco was only ok. The food tasted so good I was sure I would be back. However, on the ride home I started getting severe stomach pain. After multiple trips to the bathroom and 12 hours later my stomach is still loudly talking to me. I would have initially given the food a four star rating. However, the person with me would only give them two stars for their burritos and after a night in the bathroom I’m reducing my number of stars as well.

Our visit here started off rocky but turned out to be ok. Prices are very reasonable. Outside seating is definitely a plus. Serve is a little slow. We ordered the nachos with chicken as and appetizer and the street corn. Both were really good. For our dinner choices we had 2 of the 3 taco specials. 1 with 3 flank steak(sooo tender) and 1 with shrimp, smoked chicken, and Philly steak tacos… all of these were very good.1 taco salad, 1 burrito. Our food was good no complaints at all. We ordered desserts Churros & fried Icecream… now these took about 20 minutes to arrive but when they did the Manager brought them to us and told us due to the wait they were on the house! Awesome service.

If you are looking for a fun casual spot with a different twist this is a very good spot. The tacos were outstanding but the service was very slow… I think we had 3 different waiters. Not sure what was going on. Food is 4 stars

Pleasantly surprised by Holy Tequila. I had the grilled shrimp, pork belly, and carnitas tacos. All three were good with the Grilled Shrimp and Pork Belly being exceptional. I was blown away with the flavor combination of the grilled shrimp and looked forward to more. The crispy pork belly and accompanying sauce was fantastic. My wife ordered the chicken nachos which were excellent as well. Very pleased with our meal all the way around.

Really cool place. It has a unique concrete poured bar. Lots of drink specials and special drinks. My wife had the Mexican Shandy which is a very strong drink with tequila with citrus flavors and Tecate beer added. It’s actually 2 for 1 because they leave you with an entire can of Tecate. I had the Spicy Gin Fizz. Excellent drink! Think of it as an alcoholic version of a hot & spicy Fresca. Goes down very easily with some nice heat at the end. Served with a lime and a jalapeño pepper on a stirrer/straw. Would love to try their food next.

Great service. Fresh ingredients. The best service on the island. Love this place! The margaritas were the best I have ever had. The hibiscus margarita was delicious, not too sweet. I also had a regular margarita and again, not disappointed. You don’t taste those«fake» ingredients you get in other margaritas. I don’t think I will ever order another one in a regular restaurant or bar. My husband ordered the deconstructed bean dip, I wasn’t expecting to eat it but it was so good! A MUST have appetizer!
