Despite the low ratings here, my fiancé and I decided to give their happy hour a try. Though we were hesitant, we decided to go with the oysters, wings, shrimp, and crab legs. We were more than pleased when we were served shortly after ordering and the food was fantastic! The only hiccup during our experience was when we were charged entirely for another table’s meal. We brought it to the attention of our waitress and she apologized for the mistake, taking care of the issue in almost no time at all. Not too sure if there is new management here or what has changed since the earlier reviews were posted but our visit to Pelicans Point most certainly will not be the last!

The service was friendly, but the food wasn’t impressive. Everyone was left underwhelmed by the meal. Although, the bacon clam chowder was yummy. I just wish I could say the same for everything else. Seafood puff pastry was sorely lacking seafood and had far more pastry than I expected. The sides were even disappointing. In the end, the cost was not justified by the food quality.

We purchased dinner/comedy combo tickets. The service in this restaurant was subpar at best. Dinner took us approximately an hour and a half. A heavy rain storm occurred just prior to the food arriving. After which, the roof started to leak over our table. Management nor the staff seemed overly concerned with this;however, they did switch us to a different table. The food presentation was comparable to something I would cook in my own kitchen. Additionally, my wife’s salmon was undercooked. The only saving grace to our evening was the comedy club upstairs. Skip the restaurant and visit the comedy club. This place relies on the excellent oceanfront views to lure in the tourists. Don’t fall for that trap.

Four of us dined here. Service and food were basically just ok. Sauce for seafood pasta had no true flavor. The seafood on the the seafood nacho platter was cut so fine you could not tell what it was you were eating. The pecan bourbon crusted salmon made up for it tho. The plates from beginning to end were never taken until the end. Made for a very cluttered table. We ate out for 7 nites and this was the least favorite!

Decent restaurant, she crab soup was not very crabby. The Tilapia au gratin was pretty good and so was the Parmesan encrusted tilapia.

I’ve been to Pelican’s Point several times for their happy hour and have had fabulous service every time. They have great deals on food and drinks! Most recently I went with my husband and parents and our party of four had 6 beers, 2 martinis, 2 ½ dozen oysters, 3 dozen peel and eat shrimp, and 7 blackened flounder fish tacos(yay not fried!) for about $ 80. Some of the oysters were HUGE! This was cheaper than going to lunch and 3 drinks elsewhere! Alec, our server, was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back soon!

My fiancé and I went to the upstairs comedy club. An enormous couple shoved their way into our VIP booth we paid extra for after the show had already started and took up the entire table. The waitress apologized to me when I stepped out to use the restroom and said we would be getting our tab taken care of, but that never happened. And although this isn’t necessarily the owner’s fault, the comedian was making extremely over the top rape jokes the entire time. Kept picking on a seventeen year old girl and another young woman there with her mother. Made us very uncomfortable. The only reason I mention this is because when doing our research, we were under the impression that this wasn’t such a hardcore comedy club. What made it even weirder was that the owners young children were running around the back of the venue the entire time! Two stars because the seafood nachos were amazing. Would like to haven given three, but my drink was made wrong and the server had no knowledge of their bar stock. When i asked what rums they had, she couldn’t name one off the top of her head without going to check. Still managed to use the wrong one in my drink. Not sure what the restaurant is like, but I would never come back to the comedy club.

Such a great location. Too bad they blew it. We waited at an outside table for 20 minutes without ever being acknowledged by anyone… seriously, if I owned the place, I’d fire just about everyone there and start over. The bartender was cool and talkative and when he realized he screwed up my girlfriends drink order, he gave her a free drink. She didn’t even realize he screwed up the first order, so that was cool. That was probably why we waited 20 minutes before leaving. And by the way, when we were leaving, there were about 6 occupied tables with nothing going on, so it wasn’t just us. Staff up before you go out of business!

OMG… 10 – 15 minutes to even get acknowledged while sitting at the bar. Then we got our food without any utensils whatsoever had to ask over and over again. The Happy Hour included half price wasters and shrimp the oysters with the size of my 13 inch foot and we’re meaty and not really flavorful. The bartender Jordan was not attentive did not understand kthen he proceeded to drop a bottle of rum onto a pile of glasses which was the highlight of the evening as he crashed 20 of them to the floor

If you want to google every menu question you ever have, then this is the place for you! This was literally one of the worst dining experiences I have EVER had! We went there because we used to stay at Shelter Cove resort & knew the view would be beautiful — the view is the ONLY thing going here. When we were told about the«fresh» fish of the day(the corvina) & asked the waitress to describe it, her exact words were«um, they don’t tell us anything — just that it’s fresh & not too fishy.» #helpful Also, when some of our ordered food items came out cold, she was happy to «microwave them for us.» All in all, the view & our family’s company outweighed the fast food(at best) service. but please, please do not waste one of your precious nights in HHI at this place. It was so terrible & a waste… We love the island, & i would think the owners would be appalled at the dining experience they are invoking on their visitors.

Happy hour on a Tuesday night was very quiet but the food was very good. We had the crab legs, raw oysters, and perk and eat shrimp. The crab legs were big and the oysters fresh. Really liked the seasoning on the peel and eat shrimp
