Wonderful service with Scott! They took our reservation of 10 with short notice. I would go early if you have young kids. Everyone ordered something different, the special was great(tuna with lobster ravioli) seafood enchiladas, seafood platter and fried mussels to name a few. Mojitos were great, try the strawberry!

Had a horrible experience at Scott’s over the weekend. I am giving it 1 star because I acknowledge that my group came in late. Let me start from the beginning. A few friends and I went to Scott’s late on Friday for some food and drinks before heading out to the bars. Our group was a little delayed getting to dinner because of the storm that had just blown through and slowed down members of the group getting into HHI. We checked the closing time of the restaurant and showed up within 30 – 60 min of closing. We asked the hostess immediately if we were too late. She checked her clock, smiled, and said no right before showing us to our table. I noticed a few of the employees giving us looks as we walked in but I believed it was because we are all younger compared the the general demographic of the island and the restaurant only had a few tables left with patrons. Oh, and probably because we were so late. Our waiter walks over to greet us. He was anything but charming. Before ordering drinks I asked if he had the wifi password because the first man I saw working told me they did have wifi for guests. He promptly goes, «I don’t have it» with a scowl on his face. We all giggle a little, thinking that maybe he had a strange sense of humor. I ask again if I can have the password and he says«I don’t have it.» I drop the subject because clearly I am a bother to this man. We go around the table to order drinks. My friend starts and asks for a dry, white wine. He responds with the same not-so-pleasant tone«Chardonnay?» She replies yes that’s fine, and again with the attitude he says«the Chardonnay is on the back.» She had been looking at the front of the menu but was confident in the selection and nods and says ok and says that’s what she wants. His annoyance with the group continues as his asks for the rest of our orders and our apps. As soon as he walks away I notice other employees peeking out of the kitchen and walking around to stare at our group. Talk about an uncomfortable environment. We all agree that we are not wanted here and that maybe we should not order dinner. When the waiter comes back we tell him we can take the check, and if the apps weren’t put in yet we don’t need the kitchen to make them anymore. He says it takes just 5 minutes to put it all together(really appetizing right? 5 mins for your food?!). We say that’s fine but we’ll just take the check for the apps and drinks. He simply goes«why?» While we all wanted to just say, «we’re leaving because of your horrible attitude and how uncomfortable you’ve all made us,» we refrain and say we’re not hungry and need to head out soon. It’s pretty amazing to me that a place in such a touristy spot of HHI would be so condescending to people visiting. I’ve been visiting the area since 2001 and have always heard that Scott’s Fishmarket was a tourist trap, but I didn’t think that the people working would be so blatantly rude. Also, it’s not like this place is really a hot ticket restaurant. Several of the ubers we rode in over the weekend told us the food was not worth it there. You would think that a group of people eager to spend money on seafood and drinks would have made the employees happy. And if they were just mad about how late we came in, then why sit us? We asked if it was too late when we walked in. Finally, you should probably be happy you didn’t give me the wifi password. I most likely would have just posted this entire review with a lot more anger while I was sitting in your stupid restaurant.

This was another great choice for fresh seafood on Hilton Head!!! Delicious crab cakes were a nightly special. Mussels for appetizers were great, served with hard rolls for dipping. Almond crusted tilapia was very good, as was the salmon. Mike our waiter suggested wine and took good care of us. We sat outside and as the sun set the lights came on and it was lovely looking out at the water and marina. We will be back’n

This place was a really great find. We looked at Unilocal reviews, and we decided to come here. Taylor was our waiter, and he did a terrific job. We ordered the lobster tacos and the herb crusted grouper. Alex was our busboy, and he was fabulous. Excellent customer service. I had a delicious mango margarita with fresh mango juice and Grand Marnier. Yummy. And let’s not forget about the view. It’s located at Shelter Cove Harbor. Beautiful outside seating overlooking the yachts. Go here!

Had a wonderful dinner outside on the patio. The combination of the nice acoustic music playing, good food, and our excellent waiter, Scott. I loved the salmon and my mom enjoyed her scallops as well. Would definitely come back, but only if we’re outside and Scott was our waiter! Very convenient when staying at the Disney resort.

We had a terrible service experience!!! Our server explained the daily specials, which we ordered. When the meals were served they were not remotely close to what our server described. The owner quickly fixed our order but the overall attitude and experience was just really poor.

First visit after a recommendation from a friend… we arrived st 4:30 and did their early dining menu. The weather and waterfront view were delightful, so we sat outside. Between the four of us, we had seafood gumbo, crab cake, and salmon. We all loved ours and agreed we would return… maybe even on this trip. The service was excellent. We also enjoyed the singer/guitar player who was talented and enjoyable. All in all a very pleasant experience. I’m just not sure why we hadn’t heard about it before!

My husband and I stopped in here after getting a coupon for it at the harbor shop. We had a very friendly server to start with, and other servers even came to check on us too. We started with the she crab soup. This soup was FANTASTIC! Our server said he puts it on everything and I can understand why! Then for dinner I got the seafood platter and my husband got the seafood enchiladas. The seafood enchiladas were really good! The seafood platter was good except for the crab. The crab was all stuffing pretty much, but that was the only bad thing we had. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Next time we come back to Hilton Head we will come back and eat here!

Ate here w my wife & kids. Food was mixed. I had the scallops, which were perfectly cooked. The pilaf on the side was boring at best steamed veggies(beans carrots) were fine but could have stood at least a pat of butter. She crab soup was good. My wife really liked the seafood enchilada

We always try to get to this restaurant when we visit Hilton Head. I had the baked scallops that were plentiful and delicious. It came with rice and veggies. My husband is not a seafood lover so he chose the boneless fried chicken breast. It was very tender and just enough breading. It came with fries and veggies. Make sure to get a Scott’s Piña colada.

Delicious! We started with a dozen oysters, the fresh ones available that day. There weren’t multiple choices, like some restaurants offering oysters on the half shell typically have, but the ones we got were good. I love oysters, so that was a treat! I had the house salad, which was good, then the baked scallops with the vegetable of the day and rice pilaf. I meant to sub the rice for double vegetables, but I loved the scallops and veggies! I will definitely order it again. The bites of she crab soup I had were great, and they pride themselves on their recipe. I found the wine selection to be limited, but found a Sauvignon blanc that worked. The view is pretty, in Shelter Cove, and the restaurant takes reservations every day but Tuesday, which is the day that Shelter Cove does fireworks, and the marina is very crowded that day. Unless you’re going along with going for the fireworks, I’d suggest another night, since it can get crowded and parking can be difficult.

Not that impressed with the Crab cake sandwich at all. but mushy more bread than crab cake. expected a really good lump clean cake. the bread was dry. didn’t eat it. basically paid $ 14.00 for fries… The shrimp appetizer was good. should have had that as my dinner instead. My boyfriend had the shrimp and scallop linguine. he enjoyed it. Maybe if I would have went with something else I would have Had a better experience.

What a great location and view of the harbor. Meeting and talking surfing with scott was a surprise, but the great food and relaxed atmosphere was the real draw. We had appetizers, she crab soup, mahi mahi, fish tacos, and more. It was all so good, I wanted to come back the next day, so we did!

Dinner with friends tonight– service quick and attentive. Ordered evening special blackened mahi with avocado/corn salsa Companions enjoyed the seafood gumbo more like a stew(no roux) delish Mahi perfectly cooked! Salsa nice accompaniment. I will definitely go back and recommend trying this restaurant.

This place was OKAY not bad but not great– DONOT waste your time going there. I can’t get over the fact that this seafood restaurant had someone in the kitchen who did not know how to shuck an oyster… I started with«deviled crabs.» I had not had one before but love crab. It was crab meat mixed with bread and some peppers/onions then put back in the shell and fried. It was tasty but my problem here was it was all bread. I could not find one piece of crab… Then I had the gulf oysters which were fresh and tasty. However they came shucked incorrectly. Basically they were served on the flat top shell of the oysters and still connected to the shell(compared to how they are supposed to be separated from the flat top shell and served in rounded bottom). This was a problem because there was no «juice» on them since they were not in the rounded bottom and without the proper knife it was hard to slice oyster away from the shell. I ended up making a mess of the oyster just trying to separate it. Then I had the special that was described as «Blackened Grouper with Roasted Tomato Salsa.» The grouper was cooked well(not over done) but the«salsa» was basically a spicy marinara that overpowered the grouper to the point you could not even taste the fish. Nothing about the fish was blackened… there was NO color on it, NO cajun seasonings… just like tomato like sauce. very disappointing. I will say the fish was fresh but whoever is running the kitchen has no idea how to use these fresh ingredients in the best possible way. It just seemed like amateur hour. Very disappointing.

The restaurant is located in a great area and offers a nice view of the marina. There is dining available outside and inside. The service was wonderful! Ask for David! The raw oysters, tuna salad and mahi mahi were delicious and enjoyed. I would not recommend the oyster poboy. The sandwich came on a hot dog bun, which was disappointing. I ended up just eating the oysters and not even bothering with the bun. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.
