Really cool store. I bought 3 different types of oils and a balsamic vinegar(all of which you an taste test); sesame, garlic infused, lemon infused, and the 25 year old aged balsamic. The owner is great very friendly and knowledgeable. The store has other gifts other than oil and vinegars. Great gift idea at a reasonable price. I will defiantly order more once I run out!

I love revisiting this store every year when we come to Hilton Head Island. The oils are spectacular and the staff is very helpful. I always pick up a couple bottles of oil, a vinegar, plus their shampoo, conditioner and hand cream. Great place to shop for a specialty product like this.

We live not far from an Olio that I absolutely love — so, naturally, I have trouble going to a similar establishment and not comparing the two. And I like Olio better. That being said, any place that lets you taste test a bunch of olive oil and balsamics is kind of awesome. Their flavors are decent(garlic olive oil and pear balsamic were my favorites). Very cute shop. Tucked away in the far corner of a strip mall.

No one should miss Hilton Head Island’s Oilerie. Stop in and taste the wonderful flavors in those big silver carafes. Try the Primaiolo and the very special aged balsamic. Several local restaurants on the island and in Bluffton buy their Oils and Vinegars from the Oilerie. Don’t miss this wonderful shop in the Wexford Plaza on Hilton Head Island, SC.

Holy olive oil and vinegar! If anyone out here is looking for good no the best tasting olive oil n vinegar look no more! I loved it ! We were greeted and given a brief history on all the oil and vinegars and how to sample the products. I enjoyed it so much that in fact i dragged my girl friends there as they came to visit me visiting and they bought a few items! I liked how u can sample all the flavors and then pick out the one u want! They had samples of chopped olives, sun dried tomatoes in oil(yum) and pesto with crackers! There was a cherry jelly sauce that was so tasty I bought 2 of them. I could eat that right out the jar! They also offer a variety of sea salts, seasonings and pasta! Only thing that they might consider doing for those who had issues with turning the spout on or off is maybe put a sign or a symbol to push or pull left or right. This way after the demo if anyone forgets(like I did when I got to the vinegars) there will be an arrow on how to turn the knob on or off. This way all that great product is not wasted! Oh the best part is if you are military make sure to get your 20% discount!!! I think the next time I go I’m taking a loaf of French bread to dip it in all the oil lol!

I went there to pick up a gift for a friend and walked out with much more than that. The owners are very knowledgeable, and are obviously passionate about their product. The balsamic vinegar is ridiculously delicious, and made an instant addict out of me. Very cool store. A must for your HHI visit.

I hesitated long and hard before deciding on this rating, but allow me to explain. A rating based on product alone would be 5 stars. I’ve visited similar specialty oil and vinegar shops and would place The Oilerie’s product right up there with the best of them. We purchased a few bottles for ourselves and another as a gift. All were absolutely delicious! Like I said, this wasn’t my first experience in a store like this, and because of my own history with retail sales, I’d previously considered the challenges of operating an establishment that allows people to sample(and waste) so many [potentially messy] products. I admire people who can graciously clean up the messes and empty the trash can full of wasted oil/vinegar. But therein lies the problem we encountered. We found the attitude of the owners to be quite condescending and unprofessional as they fussed about«these old people» that come in here, don’t understand how to operate the dispensers, make big messes, etc. As a result, we felt almost smothered initially as they hovered over us making sure we did everything just right. At one point my wife was trying to get a sample when one of the owners jumped in with a frustrated«Yeah, somebody broke that valve. Let me do it for you.» Judging from the other reviews, it seems our experience was unique, which I hope is the case. We gave them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps they had a particularly difficult customer just before we arrived. I don’t know. Fact of the matter is, the general attitude was quite noticeable and unwelcoming. The next time we get to Hilton Head, I’ll certainly visit The Oilerie again, purchase product and even update this review if needed. I only visited once and this was my most honest impression of the place.

From your first visit, Linda and Tom will become friends who remember you and your preferences each time you visit. They are completely knowledgable about their product, and I am privileged to live nearby and visit often. They even remember my son from Boston, who visits only once or twice a year. From my first purchase, I have become a total Oilerie convert. No more store-bought salad dressings or spices for me! I eat a LOT of salad, and use only their spices, one of their many flavored EVOO’s, along with the 25-year balsamic as dressing. Started off with the garlic and basic oils(seemed practical for salad), but have ventured into the lemon, orange, and favorite of late — lime. Yummmm, so fresh and citrus-y. I use them all in cooking everything, from flavoring veggies, as toppings for fish, even on my baked potato or sweet potato. The BEST host gift, and fits perfectly in a wine bottle bag.

Wonderful store in the Village of Wexford with a wide assortment of gourmet olive oils and other olive-related food items. Extremely friendly and warm owners. Highly recommend!

As it seems that the Oilrie is the only shop on the island that offers specialty olive oils, they have no problems competing with other stores and do not drop most revenue on advertising. That being said, they have fantastic oils and vinegars. Along with the oils, they also sell sauces and truffle salts. As all of their oil and vinegar come from the same source in Italy, they demonstrate a consistency in excellence that is hard to come by in olive oil specialty stores. A testament to this is their 25 year aged balsamic. While being smooth and sweet, it beats the normal 15 and 18 year vinegar that you’d find in a similar oil store. The reason I docked this store a star is due to the fact that the selection they have is limited, and sampling is not entirely ideal. While I do love being able to gulp down oils and vinegars and free will, it would be nice if there was an option of having a few small cubes of bread to try dipping with. The owners of the store are very kind and passionate about oil, and have been the only ones operating it for the two years of the stores existence. Soon, they say, they will be hiring workers to run the store; I hope this does not take away from the experience. On that note, we will definitely be back.

This is by far the best Balsamic Vinegar. Good enough to put on ice cream. When visiting the island you must stop at this store. I live here and this is what I give to friends for gifts. I can never keep it in my house as it goes home with everyone who visits. Sherrie
