Best view of the sunset on the island. Jim was great and attentive to all his guests. I only had bourbon, but the drink list looked very tasty and perfect for a day on the beach.

Visited the Tikki Hut while walking on the beach. Great Ocean view. Friendly bar tenders. They have local performers on weekends. Noticed on the wall board announcements for the entertainment. Two drinks we had were Swedish Fish was Cruzan Cherry Rum with Peach Schnapps and Cranberry and Pink Panther drink with Cruzan Passion Fruit Rum, Pineapple and Cranberry… both tasty. Could have ordered appetizers but it would have been 20 – 25 wait. Was disappointed too long.

During our GA/SC vacation a couple weeks ago we had to take a slight detour due to weather and ended up in Hilton Head. Not a bad deal by any means, but it was an unexpected stop. We got to our hotel(The Beach House) and immediately went to the pool bar for some drinks and lunch while we waited for our room to be ready. First of all, there is nothing wrong with this bar. Drinks were good; staff was friendly. They had live music playing for several hours. It was a fun little pit stop and we had no problems hanging out for a bit. However, the food we had was just not that great. I ordered the coconut shrimp and the blackened fish tacos for hubby and I to share. The fish tacos we got were not blackened whatsoever. The taste was okay, but definitely not what was advertised. My husband was more irritated than me about it and did not finish his taco after one bite. Good thing we had fried coconut shrimp to eat — these were good. Of course, they were a frozen product that they just threw in the fryer, but still. We were starved and at this point they tasted like heaven. Lots of items on their menu, though. I would say go ahead and order the coconut shrimp. But skip the blackened tacos unless you can confirm without a doubt they plan to blacken them. And then also have lots of fruity drinks. I enjoyed mine tremendously.

I have visited HH every year for last 10 years. Always stop by the Tiki Hut. This year i sat there and actually looked at the framing of the Tiki Hut, and the bar itself. It is FILTHY … I mean, do any of the bartenders or Bar managers have eyes. I had a beer and left. Very Nasty. needs a good scrub down before I will return.

We were staying at The Beach House this weekend so naturally we frequented the Tiki Hut as it’s just outside of our hotel. They seemed to have live music playing at all hours of the day which is a plus. They’ve got plenty of places to sit so they can accommodate a LOT of people. The drink selection was good… when we’re at the beach my wife drinks Miami Vice’s and I drink Mojito’s. By all accounts the Miami Vice was great(she ordered a bunch) but the mojito the bartender made me was just ok(hence the 4 star instead of 5 star). I need my beach bars to be able to make a mean Mojito.

Good little hole beach bar. Sand volley ball, cold drinks and good service. Noticed that bartenders from our other favorite spots, drink here as well. There were a ton of flies and parking is available but it’s better to ride your bike. Located behind a Holiday Inn.

Great place for live music and it is right on the beach. If you go and sit at an open table, don’t wait for a waitress, you want see one for a long time, so just go to the bar and purchase a drink, much easier and they like your tips as much as as the ghost wait staff.

This place is a Hilton Head institution. Great spot on the beach to hang out get a drink and listen to live music right on the beach. The service is a little slow but the atmosphere makes up for it. Grab a drink, listen to the band, watch the waves and relax.

Wasn’t even busy and waited 20 minutes and a waitress never showed up. Even after 10 minutes I waked up to her to ask if it was ok if we just sat anywhere or if we needed to be seated. So just left!

Always a cool place to drop by and grab a drink. They usually party all day long. Live music or good tunes on the stereo. You can get a drink, and enjoy a smoke, while watching the tourists. This place is a Hilton Head institution. A few years back, it was almost torn down, but there was a big campaign to save the place.

Rather pricey — we had the beach ball drinks, which I believe were $ 8 or 9 a drink. However, they tasted good and seemed to have a lot of alcohol in them. We came a little late so the bar wasn’t serving food but we were able to walk to the pool area right next door and get some shredded pork nachos to go– which were actually delicious.

Drinks were excellent but save yourself some money and just order the 72oz drink for $ 40 first. The view is absolutely great and the staff couldn’t be friendlier!

Don’t let it scare you that it’s at the Holiday Inn this is a terrific spot with live music every day. The bartenders are busy all the time stare at the ocean and her volleyball players playing it is a bit crowded but it’s a good local find and great music.

I just recently vacationed on Hilton head Island and of course had to hit the tiki hut. I had been here before several years ago and remembered how good the drinks are. They make all kinds of speciality drinks that are quite delicious! Live music not the greatest band… not awful though. The best thing is It is an actual little Tiki hut right off the beach very tropical feeling and cute and the bartenders are very attentive. We had no problem getting a seat at the bar due more then likely to a very chilly day, However made the best of it and had a great day! Highly recommended;)

Great location, but I agree with one of the more recent customers, HIGHLY understaffed! We were there a couple of hours before the waitress came around! We finally went next door to «The Porch» and ordered much better food-the tiki bar is definitely not utilizing their potential!

First time to Tiki Hut and it was just what I needed. It is right on the beach so attire is extremely casual or a swimsuit is fine. I went during the day so I think its the kinda place you go when you want a relaxed atmosphere or need something to eat while you are at the beach. The drinks are really good and the food is just mediocre but its still good enough to eat when you just need a snack. The drinks are not the best quality but the flavor is good and perfect for the vibe. I didn’t see any kids. It had a very adults only kinda atmosphere which was cool because there are not a lot of places like that. They have a live performer with a schedule for who is the AM and PM performers for the day. Its nice to have music, sip, snack, people watch, and enjoy the ocean and some sun. Perfect atmosphere for the beach. I like this place… just don’t come looking for the Ritz at the Holiday Inn and you will be pleased. :-) Lastly, parking was pretty easy. $ 5 to park in the Holiday Inn Resort Lot and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Nice to be on the beach. Highly understaffed. Slow service. Just ok food. I had the green salad with shrimp. At $ 17, I expect something decent. The lettuce was wilted with bits of spoiled blackness in it. The raspberry vinaigrette dressing was overly sweet. The drinks were watered down and uninspired. Will not be back.

I’ve been to the Tiki Hut a few times while on vacation. Each time has been fun, cause you really, and shouldn’t be, in a bad mood when there is the beach a mere footstep away, a cold drink in your hand, a breeze blowing by and live music playing. This isn’t a place where you should expect gourmet food, its a place where you can take a break from tanning on the beach, pack up your towels and walk over for a refreshing alcoholic beverage. I’ve never had a complaint about the service and they seem to know to not hover over customers and let us babysit our drinks if we wish. There are showers on the planks before you enter the hut where you can wash off sand so it doesn’t mix into your food and drinks which is nice. I’ve never had food here, just drinks which really vary depending on the bartender. I was a little sad that they didn’t have this bourbon lemonade that I had on a visit several years ago, which was really strong and nice.

I was looking for a bar right on the beach and my wife found this place… we just followed the music. we just came for drinks so I can’t say anything about their food but if you are looking for a cold drink in your hand right on the beach than tiki bar is the place. drinks were not over priced and service was ok.
