The Lodge Beer & Growler Bar and Restaurant

Great service as always. Pulled pork wasn’t too great but I’m allergic to pork so who knows if it was an allergic reaction kicking in. Found a dead rat in the stall I used, but most places in the south end have rats (Rita’s, truffles, etc.).
PS: Every Thursday is lederhosen karaōke night!

I love this place! The burgers are amazing and the fried Mac & cheese are to die for! I love the atmosphere. It’s a great place to drink and beer and have a burger! You’ve seriously got to try the fried Mac & cheese.

This is one of the places I enjoyed the most at Hilton Head. A great bar and a nice menu of food to go with it. They serve an extensive selection of draft beers, and they have a convenient 5 ounce sampler size, so you can try many varieties. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about the beer, and can help you pick the ones you will enjoy the most.

Walked in, my husband and I were barely looked at and we think actually snarled at by one waitress. After a few minutes with no service, we left. Don’t understand such poor service, will never return.

This was our first time coming to this establishment and will most likely be our last. The wait was expected to be about 30 minutes, but ended up being about an hour and a half– it seemed like they forgot about us. Additionally, the service was not very good and it took a good 20 minutes for the server to come to our table for the first time once we were seated. The food arrived cold approximately one hour after our order was taken. Overall, the experience was pretty bad and I wouldn’t really recommend this place to any of my friends.

Loved it! Great and copious beer menu. Plenty to whet your beak:). I had the ribs, wedge salad, and fried mac and cheese — all great! This place has a great environment and short wait compared to other places in HH. Frankly the wait wasn’t long enough. We’ll be back for the food and the service — thanks Sean! Great food, great service, great time!

We were trying to get into One Hot Mama’s next door but since they had a 30 min wait, they recommended us to go next door to their sister restaurant, The Lodge. The wings were good, cheeseburger was good, but that was about it. The chips that they claim were one of the best were stale. Like it had been fried earlier that day and sitting out. They dont offer fries. The side options were minimal. They had fried mac and cheese and it wasn’t very good. It was better left alone without frying it. It only caused it to lose its taste and replace with oily taste. The kids menu wasn’t great either. My kids like mac and cheese, noodles and fries and they had burger, tater tots, wings, etc, nothing that she liked. The service wasn’t horrible, wasn’t fantastic either, but okay. I don’t think we’ll be going back unless I order just a burger and throw away the ‘chips’ that come with it.

Bar tender didn’t know the difference between east and west coast IPAs, but my affection can be bought with pool tables and shuffleboard.

Love the vibe of this space — on point with the amount of taps and samples — fun times with the guys. Skip everything else in this area and head here for your Beer night!

This terrific sports bar just outside Sea Pines resort serves up a huge selection of craft beer, an extensive menu of comfort food, and flat screen TVs within view of every table. Escaping from a local conference, I ordered a delicious plate of chicken wings, a tall brew, and settled in for an uninterrupted evening of college football. I’ll be back in Hilton Head next summer with my family, and The Lodge will definitely be on our list of dinner spots.

My husband ordered the Porky which is a pork and ground beef patty with pulled pork and cheddar cheese. He said it was good. I ordered the Meat and 3. Pulled pork with fried mac n cheese, coleslaw and tater tots. The coleslaw was very good the other 2 sides were just fair. My pulled pork was dry and a little tough. We went during happy hour that was 4 to 8. Got a dollar off our beers. Waitress was just okay and we waited quite a while for our appetizer.

Definitely the best beer selection on the island! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Just Ok place … The waitress was very pleasant! The burgers just average and surprisingly the buns were your plain old grocery store buns. Tots were good but fried potatoes are hard to not get right. Bill for two was over 30.00 which I thought was over priced for lunch. Atmosphere is more a bar place than eatery. We tried it, but in my opinion a place we will most likely not return to.

After a week of rich seafood, we were ready for some simpler fare that was lighter on the wallet, if not necessarily the waistline. The Lodge fit the bill with a nice variety of craft beers on tap, great burgers, and decent appetizers, including Parmesan and truffle tater tots. Fast, friendly service as well.

Grabbed a late lunch of Parmesan coated tater tots, giant soft pretzels and smash burgers! Absolutely awesome food and prices!!! Very casual atmosphere with that «lodge» charm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is it’s hard to find, tucked in the middle of a multi restaurant complex. This is a must go while you are at HH

Fun place with great craft beer selection. We sat at the bar without incident and received prompt service. The head bartender is knowledgeable about the beers she serves and is able and willing to offer suggestions about taste. Fun place

I badly want to give this place 4 stars. The tap selection is on point, and the hunting-​lodge-​on-​drugs ambiance is unique and fun.
I managed to get the same @#*$sh** bartender/​server on both visits, though, and I can’t believe that he’s still employed ANYWHERE. After begrudgingly bringing us our first round on the initial visit, he disappeared for 25 minutes. We had to order at the bar, and when he returned, he didn’t even have the good graces to look… embarassed.
The SECOND time we visited, he was tending bar. Wasn’t primarily in charge of our group, but still managed to come by to drop subtle barbs that he obviously thought were «jokes» and be constantly irritating.
Don’t avoid The Lodge, because the beer here is legitimately fantastic. Food looks fine. DO avoid the close-​cropped blonde haired server/​bartender with the glasses.

We had a party of 5 (3 brothers with two spouses). It was a chance to eat, drink, and hang out while the parents watched the grand-​kids.
Food was good. Deviled Eggs and Sausage Bites for apps were both tasty.
Everyone enjoyed their entrees (Burgers mostly). Drinks were good. Beer selection was decent (not enough non-​IPAs for my taste), and the waitress did a great job keeping up. The owner even came by and talked with us.
We ended the night in the back area playing pool, and beating another groups of siblings at an intense game of Jenga.
All-​in-​all I would go back. It is definitely different that every other place on the island — in a good way.

My last trip to Hilton Head was a while back but I never got around to reviewing this place. A group of us showed up later in the evening and it was pretty packed, as were all the other bars in the area. I was impressed with the craft selection and really the only place I came across down this way that had anything like it.
The service was a little slow due to the massive crowds but that’s toucf to avoid on a Friday night with nice weather. I would definitely come back again to get a better sampling of their brews.

I absolutely loved this place. It is a restaurant and bar with emphasis on the bar. Literally looks like a cozy modern lodge/​wood cabin on the inside. They have a large selection of beers on tap including ciders. You can also buy select growlers to go. They have TVs, one or two pool tables and a Juke box.
The night my husband and I went we were on vacation in HHI. We sat at a booth and ordered some chicken wings which are actually made from One Hot Mama’s across the plaza.
The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable of their menu and beers. Very eager to make suggestions knowing we were out-​of-​towners.
I also had the Parmesan Truffle Tater Tots. These were not what I expected. They were normal tater tots with a side of Parmesan Truffle Butter. Holy cow they were amazing. The truffle butter was creamy and rich.
They have a great selection of Burgers, Gourmet Grilled Cheeses and some other meaty BBQ options as well.
The only reason I did not give them 5 stars, is because towards the end of our meal our waiter seemed to kind of abandon us for a larger table celebrating a birthday. Luckily a different waiter saw we were sitting with empty glasses and picked up the slack.
We were there on a Monday night, and they started doing trivia around 9:30. We lingered a while to catch the first round. The trivia was fun, more pop trivia instead of middle east geography a lot of places dish out. The hubs and I were tied for second with another team when the final question came down to sports trivia which neither one of us give two flicks about. Prizes came in liquid form.
If this place was in my neighborhood it would definitely become a weekly staple.
