Christmas Eve at WiseGuys was fantastic! The atmosphere was festive, the food was excellent, the drinks(WiseGuy martinis) went down smoothly and the service was extremely professional. Special thanks to Danny, our server, who attended to our every need in a timely and attentive manner. The chicken and waffles, Brie, tuna wraps and homemade potato chips were delicious! The porterhouse steak melted in our mouths. The skillet potatoes were yummy. Danny recommended a great bottle of wine as well as the crème brûlée and chocolate tart for dessert. Even though it was a holiday, we weren’t rushed or pushed to order quickly. This was, by far, one of our favorite holiday dinners! Be aware of the early bird and late night DISCOUNT! If you arrive in the dining room between 5:00 and 5:45 or in the lounge between 10:00 and midnight, you are entitled to a 25% discount off of the entire bill, including drinks! We enjoyed dinner so much that we returned a few nights later for drinks and tapas in the lounge. Both times, the check arrived without the discount. Once we asked, it was resolved amicably, but it would have been more professional had the discount been calculated on the original bill.

Simply the best meals we’ve had on the Island. A party of four, we ordered fillet Mignon, rib-eye, and baseball steaks, and an assortment of sides. Our steaks were all cooked to exactly as ordered, tender, juicy, and to die for! Sides were excellent, with veggies hot and slightly crisp. Desserts exceeded all expectations, with the bread pudding sundae being a big hit. Our waiter, Sam, was attentive, informative, and made sure all was well with our meals. He made some excellent drink suggestions. We will make WiseGuys a regular stop when we visit the Island each year.

I love this place. The wait staff is well-trained. As for the food, I confess I get the same three things every time I go, but I just love the braised beef short rib sliders and chicken and waffles for a followup. Sometimes I get the Mixed Grill if I’m in a wild mood. This is a great place to meet the girls, but make a reservation for the upper level or the back if you want to chit chat. They have a delightful chocolate fondue for sharing if you have room. The bar area gets very noisy. If you are a visitor, we locals know to always make a reservation, especially in the summer! Plenty of parking.

Wonderful place! We were in town for a work conference and a group of us had a delicious meal here. The steak(New York strip) was cooked perfectly, excellently paired with the gorgonzola sauce. I had the skillet potatoes and daily veggies… perfect. I would also recommend the calamari — like a bang bang version. Overall, great food, great service… would come back again!

If 4.5 was available that’s what I would have rated this restaurant due to portion size of my Rack of Lamb dish. It came on a bed of potato purée and Brussels sprouts and carrots. It was simply delicious. It was one of the priciest item on the menu priced at $ 39 for half rack of lamb and I certainly expected at least 3 pieces as opposed to the 2 that was plated. But outside of that, it was simply amazeballs! The grouper dish was also fantastic on a bed of Gouda grits, spinach and mushrooms. In addition, we got one of the small plates as an appetizer. The braised beef short rib stuffed mushrooms with creamy mashed potatoes and drizzled w/some sort of reddish goodness. This was perfect. And for desert we had the crème brûlée(4 diff Flavors) and the bread pudding sundae which was all to die for! Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the best restaurant on the island. After eating at places all around HHI for 23 years now, this one is the one that truly stands out. Juicy phenomenal steaks and exceptional wine choices. The lobster tail is smothered in butter and practically melts in your mouth. Make sure to leave room for dessert — the bananas foster crepes and crème brûlée sampler are winners!

We came here last night for the small plates and a few drinks. The food quality was excellent, as expected from the reviews. The Shrimp and Calamari small plate was cooked with a delicious cheese sauce. The Fried Chicken and Waffles had crisp fired chicken breast and was not overly sweet, being a superb representation of that southern comfort food. The Lobster Risotto and Short Rib stuffed Mushrooms were more bland but still very good. The Berry Lemonade is a refreshing cocktail I strongly recommend. Service was quick on our visit and the food came out in under ten minutes which is unusual for such a complex menu. This is a professionally run spot. Can’t go wrong. The Happy Hour discount was 25%. Our total for four small plates and six cocktails was $ 84. Not bad either.

Scallops on wild mushroom risotto… delicious! Mom’s grouper was amazing! Dad’s salmon was not to be a repeated order in the future. Salmon not for foodies… the rest, yes. Our waiter Daniel was fabulous!

I’ve been here twice! Love this place. I was here on Valentines Day & my birthday so it’s definitely great for special occasions! I love the décor, ambiance, & menu selection here. All the great tools of an exceptional night out. This is the perfect spot for date night or if you’re looking for a great night out for dinner solo. During happy hour they offer a % off certain apps & small plates which is a plus. Now, when it comes to dinner they offer several combination dishes which is a plus for me. I love a place where I’m not limited to one dish for the main course & I can try a combination that’s already on the menu. This way I don’t have to create them in my head & my bill is sky high! I love having choices. The calamari & shrimp app is pretty popular here & it is good. I just always ask could mine be crispier. The Lamb chops & lobster tail is pretty good here too. My food is always moist & flavorful. The staff here will treat you like royalty. They’re super nice, knowledgeable, & really do anticipate your needs. I say definitely try this place for a great dining experience. Get here slightly before the dinner rush to take advantage of the happy hour deals. Y’all enjoy!

We enjoyed dinner there last night and chose it because of the Unilocal reviews. We made reservations, even though it is a slow time here. Better safe than sorry. We were immediately seated and Danny was our waiter. He is awesome by the way. It was just my husband and I. We each ordered a glass of wine and I will say, they have a number of wines by the glass that you never see, even in Chicago. So that was a really nice surprise, since he was drinking white and I was drinking red, a bottle was not going to work. My husband had the snapper on lobster risotto which looked fabulous and he said it was. There was a lot of lobster in the dish. I needed a steak and had the ribeye. I am a really rare meat girl and they got it right, I ate the whole thing. The asparagus I had with my dinner is my only complaint. It was not a local product by any means and had very little flavor. With their bread, they serve an olive olive that has a sun dried tomato pesto in it. Delicious, and I am going to try at home. The décor of this restaurant is really, really well done. The tables are a comfortable distance apart, the seating is quite comfortable. There is a «barrel vaulted» ceiling leading from the front of the restaurant to the bank and it red and lighted. Quite beautiful. The contrast to the rest of the space is very nice. I would like to go back and have a drink at the bar. It is black and white marble with white upholstered seats and again quite beautiful. This place is a keeper!

I’ve been here several times on my last two visits to HHI. The first time we came, I knew it was a must-have every time we visit the island. We actually carve out two dinner nights dedicated to wise guys because we love it so much. I highly recommend the shrimp & calamari with scallops and the seafood collection. They are two of my absolute favorites but honestly, I’ve never had anything I didn’t like here. The truffle fries are amazing and the crème brûlée flight is to die for! If you haven’t been and you live in HHI or are visiting, go now! You won’t be disappointed!

We absolutely love this place! Every time we come to Hilton Head Island, we always make it a point to visit WiseGuys. Always impressed with everything we order on their menu, and love the atmosphere. They have an incredibly impressive wine menu, and our bottle always arrives perfectly chilled. I ordered the Seafood Collection and everything was cooked perfectly. My dinner partner ordered the highly recommended and it was a nice, solid dish as well. Would love it if this place were even open for lunch. Always a great meal here.

We had a party of 7 adults and 3 kids and chose patio seating for our larger party. We arrived early and took advantage of the 25% off early bird special on both food and ALL alcohol. The staff was quick to accommodate our larger party as well as to serve us promptly for the kids. We enjoyed their large variety of seafood dishes: particularly the she crab soup and the fried shrimp and calamari appetizer was a favorite among everyone. If seafood is not your thing, the French Onion was my personal favorite. For seafood: the crab cakes as well as the seafood combo platter is the way to go but regardless of what you order you will not be disappointed!

Found this place looking online for a good steak in Hilton Head. The service was excellent, as was the ambiance(chill progressive house music and perfect semi-dark lighting). My filet was prepared perfectly, my fiancée’s was cooked a tad less than requested(medium instead of medium-well). But we both agreed they were quite good. The sides – mashed potatoes and broccolini – were both delicious, although I did not enjoy the crab she soup. The waitress was kind enough to take the soup off of the bill. My fiancée and I did not like the house steak sauces, however. Personally I like to alternate between no sauce and a traditional sauce like A1(blasphemy to a foodie, but it’s my mouth, right?) when eating steak; but no traditional sauces were available.

Best meal that we have had on the island this week. The Mediterranean sampler was the perfect hummus appetizer. My demonico steak was a perfectly done medium rare. My girlfriend’s petit filet was a little underdone for her as medium rare but with the cabernet demi sauce was delicious. The sides of baked and mashed potatoes with asparagus were perfect complements to the delicious steaks. I had a well done vodka martini and we had some yummy wines with dinner. Since we had made reservations so late on a holiday evening we got… ready for this… a 25% discount on the entire meal and drinks! We didn’t even know this was going to happen! What a fabulous meal with a fabulous deal to boot! Great service, great food and a super deal we weren’t expecting. A must try while in Hilton Head.

THENIGHTWASN’T RIGHT. Let me explain… 1) we had reservations; however, had to wait at the bar for the table to be ready. While waiting, found a little high top to sit at. Hostess asked if we ‘were canceling our reservation as we were now sitting at the bar’ Really!!! We had our 4 yr old with us!!! 2) once seated, our table was smushed in the back next to all the extra chairs. Politely had to ask for the stack of chairs to be moved. 3) waitress was training someone. Normally not an issue but, when you are spending $ 50 + per person, not ideal as he added NO value and only seemed a distraction and slowed things down 4) with two of them they forgot to ring in our appetizer! Enough said 5) this was the kicker… they charged $ 10 for add on sea scallops but they were the size of quarters! Not at all up charge worthy We were given a free dessert for the appetizer miss. So that was nice. The décor was cool. Expensive stake house should be run with a certain class. All of the above notes are pretty bad for what we paid for dinner. Save your money and find a better statehouse.

From décor, to service, to the food we loved this place! Small portions to try a wide variety of food is exactly what I love doing. The signature shrimp and calamari is outstanding and a must-try. I also thoroughly enjoyed the wine flights they give you in a very cool tree like glass holder. Overall, this place is a must go to when visiting Hilton Head. A couple at the table next to us said they make sure to visit at least twice when they are on their vacation.

Preamble We were actually staying in Savannah for a beach weekend during Memorial day weekend. We decided to drive over to HH for one of our days. For our next trip(Labor day) were actually going to skip staying in Savannah and come straight to SC and this place is one of the reasons. I’m not saying make a special trip, but I AM saying if you’re in HH, don’t miss this place. After being told there was a ridiculous minimum 2.5 hour wait at another restaurant, we called a few others to be met with a similar answer. This place however gave us a ½ hour window and made us a reservation which gave us plenty of time to get there from down the road. We walked in to a friendly greeting and were seated quickly. They were just as busy as anyone else may have been which made the waits at other places even more ridiculous. Our server Nancy took great care of us and the food was great. My whiskey sour was very potent, so they definitely don’t skimp on their pours.

Decided to try because you know how reviews can be… I will start by saying our server was fantastic, very prompt, personable and attentive. We started with a drink and appetizer, the truffle fries are good, but the bread and sun dried tomato dip is the best. Entrees were the Seafood Collection, 6oz Filet(medium) and Ribeye(medium). Seafood and Filet were fantastic… first Ribeye was burnt(not charred but burnt on the outside) and almost well done, so we requested a redo. Manager came to table, verified we wanted medium, told me the well done was medium, but said ok we will redo. Brought another ribeye out(that he said he took from another tables order), cut into and it was rare… not even medium rare… but RARE. Then proceeded to explain to me it too was medium. I’ve worked in the industry so I know my steak… needless to say it goes back. He brings out a «new» steak that he has cooked, same steak, same marks we cut on it, and maybe slightly above rare… Stopped at that point and said its fine. I would stick to ordering the seafood, or just going with what temp you get… because medium an range anywhere from deep blood red to brown(cooked all the way through). Had it not been for the ribeye and the comments on our re-fire request it would have been perfect…

Flawless. Fantastic. Definitely go! The sundried tomato roasted pepper olive oil served with the complimentary bread = amazing. Roasted pear Gorgonzola pecan salad(special) = delish! The originality of the food items and perfectly balanced flavors of the dishes were so skillful. The service was impeccable. I LOVED the contemporary décor, soft music, plush seating, and atmosphere. I came back 2 days straight because they had many vegetarian options. I also appreciated the small plates which allowed me to try multiple items and leave satisfied but not stuffed. The manager(lovely woman) visited me both nights. I HIGHLY recommend this place.
