We love it here. we’ve returned, using time shares, year after year. Views of an active marsh are sensational. Units are large and beautifully laid out. The staff is fabulous. Considerate, knowledgeable. Location is central to shopping, dining, movies, etc. Bikes are available for rent. We do not go the beach but it is not far. We have stayed at Marriott on the beach. We did not like it as much. Tons of golf on HH and all the courses are quite nice. You get the idea. We love it here!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Harbour Point this summer. The views from our 2 bedroom suite were incredible and the kids enjoyed watching boats cruise by. We had 2 balconies and one of them was quite large. With the ceiling fan running it was a lovely spot for morning coffee and primo for fireworks viewing! Even though this is an older resort, the suite was updated with comfy furnishings. A tiki bar was by the pool would have been a nice addition, but we did enjoy their events, like Mimosa Monday! We would stay here again without hesitation.

We really enjoyed our time at Sunset Pointe. Tons of amenities on site — we actually wished we had more days to spend here so we could take advantage of it all. Staff was warm and friendly, and always available to help. Free shuttle that will take you to the beach in 5 minutes. Bike rentals and excellent tennis courts right outside your room. Pristine pools and propane grills — we really enjoyed grilling at the hotel and eating in the gazebo! Even kept us from going out to dinner a few nights. Very close to shelter cove shopping center which has restaurants and bars if you want more action. Highly recommended if you are looking to a pleasant, relaxed vacation.

No direct ocean beach access. However, you can go to another one of Marriott’s HHI sites for beach access. Our suite was large, especially the Master bedroom suite. The room whirlpool and shower is big enough for 2, to get romance back into your life. The 2nd bedroom, with 2 single beds is also spacious. I parked my bike in the room and still had plenty of space. There were lots of extra towels stashed in the 2 bedroom cabinets. Even extra soaps, lotion, conditioner and shampoo. We were in the Sunset building, room 6201 with a view of a pool and Broad Creek. There is an extensive bike path on HHI. We took our bikes but you can rent a bike. The bike rent rate is very reasonable, at least this time of year. The lowest rates I ever encountered. This made me wonder if bike rental rates are seasonal. You can ride your bike to Whole Foods. That’s a «wow» factor for me since The nearest Whole Food store to me is in northern VA a lot father than a bike ride away. LOL There is good WiFi connectivity in your room. The kitchen space and appliances are also more than adequate, if you really want to cook. Raw Carolina shrimp is plentiful, relatively cheap and easy to cook. Try that if you want to use the kitchen for more than warming up leftovers or take out. IMPORTANT: Get there before nightfall! Even with GPS we missed this place on the first try. All buildings on HHI are designed to blend into the environment. It works all to well. At night, we could not see 100 feet. The signs are unlit and none reflective. The GPS told me to turn and I could not see a street to turn onto. The 2nd time, a truck was in front of me and he turned showing me the way. This is low country meaning fog rolls in. It was not foggy this night, just jet black dark, and we couldn’t see any buildings until we were on top of them. I’m sure there is little Marriott can do about this. They have to comply with HHI regulation. We used Diamond Resort points to book these rooms. I would do it again. I highly recommend this resort, for cash or points.

Stayed here during the week of 10÷12÷13 through 10⁄19. The resort is beautiful and the villas are updated. Here are a few challenges we encountered. Some of the challenges we had involved seeing a «Palmetto Bug» Cockroach in one of the cupboards. We reported to the front desk and person said that it wasn’t a cockroach. Also, the stickers that indicated when the last spray was done was outdated. We had a leak in the bathroom from the unit above and the staff promptly addressed it and stopped the leak. Finally, my husband and I both had bite marks on our bodies. I think they may have bed bugs. Not totally positive, but it was awfully strange that both of us experienced this on various parts of our bodies. We traded into this Timeshare and I probably wouldn’t stay here again. I have had prior experience with Marriott and they have all been awesome with the exception of this one.

I’m very impressed with this resort. I stayed in the Sunset Building, and this place was very clean, new appliances, brand new furniture. This is 5 star quality. My timeshare stay was with the Sunset Pointe resort. I would come back in a heart beat. I will have new pics posted shortly. You will be impressed as much as I was on my entrance into the villa. Check in my easy, received parking pass for car. Handicapped accessible… elevators and stairs. My 2 bedroom villa sleeps 6: a king size bed, two twin beds, and a queen size pullout couch. Full size kitchen with stove/oven, dishwasher, full fridge, dishes, dining room, mini washer and dryer. Walmart is up the street if you forgot anything or need to buy more laundry detergent for washing. There are bike rentals available on the hotel property, but I think prices are cheaper elsewhere on the island. You end up paying for convenience which I don’t blame. They do not allow you to bring the bikes to your room or left outside so bring a bike lock. Not sure if they offer a block lock but it wouldn’t hurt to call. Housekeeping is available if requested for a small fee. During my stay I didn’t find the need to ask for housekeeping. There were enough towels for us to change out once during our weekly stay. GPS location is correct. When you first arrive in Hilton Head, follow the 278 business route. You will start to see signs for Palmetto Dunes. Tip: If you pass the Hilton Head Diner on your right, you went too far. Your turn was immediately before the Diner. Harbour Pointe and Sunset Pointe are located in the same area. Look for the registration sign for both resorts. My party consisted of adults so I cannot review on the activities for kids. You are 1 hour from Savannah and 2 hours from Charleston. Definitely try to see both cities even if it is only one day each. Wifi is available at no fee. No complaints… very quiet. I was on the top floor and in the corner villa. Barely heard my neighbors. Beds were very comfortable making it feel like home away from home.
