Nick’s Steak & Seafood

The service here is what makes this place great! Amy was our server and she was attentive. We stumbled in 30 min to closing with our party of 13. It was our first night there and we were starving. We made sure to know what we wanted quickly bc we know this could really piss off a restaurant with our party size and time. Our food was delicious, and everyone working their was very nice and accommodating. We will definitely go back!

Looked this restaurant up on Unilocal and decided to give it a try because of the reviews. I wanted this place to be just right so bad being my family and I are from Pittsburgh and this restaurant is very Pittsburgh themed. I have to be honest but the food was just OK and nothing to brag about. My wife had a seasonal salad and a veggie plate of some sort. My son had a salad called the Pittsburgh Traditional Salad with chicken and I had a build your own burger. I would probably go back if I’m in the area, but I would not make a special trip. I really enjoyed all the Pittsburgh based paraphernalia.

No, just no. First off, I ordered unsweetened tea. For health reasons I’m not able to eat sugar and luckily my mom ordered unsweetened tea as well and drank hers first so she could tell me it was sweet. Otherwise I would have been sick. We told the server who insisted it was unsweetened until she went back and realized she gave us the wrong ones. Then our food came. The burgers were cold and filled with fat. My sister ordered BBQ sauce on hers and they put so little on there that she could hardly see it, let alone taste it. I also couldn’t have the fries because they were not gluten free so I ordered steamed broccoli instead. It came out soggy like it had been steamed but was very cold. When we tried to pay we showed the server our hotel card which gets us a discount and she said she would take 10% off. When we received the check there was no discount so we had to get that corrected. Overall, not a good experience.

Despite being a Pittsburg themed restaurant… We had a great experience. Our server Whitley was kind to us and our two boys (ages 2 & 5). She was informative and helpful. The food was very good. The kids menu has good options and the fries are the best around. We’ll be back!

This was one of those places we passed up too many times. It’s in the old Applebee’s building.
The food is very good. Not the best ever but for the amount of food for the money, you can’t beat it. Steaks are great and the crab legs are the lowest priced on the island. Service was fantastic and the most important part… Go Steelers!!!

The crab/​corn hush puppies are amazing! Crab legs good… Filet was not the best I’ve had but wasn’t terrible. My son loved the build your own burger option

If I go back again (I’m a vacationer), I wouldn’t get the Kobe beef burger. Didn’t taste special and was underdone for a requested medium. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals, including New York Strip steak and the shrimp dinner. We went early, so not to many people in the place. Service was friendly and the place was clean.

Just ate here based on neighboring hotel reccomendation. Food was just OK for the price. I wanted to try a steak but after the waitress forgot we were there and it taking over 20 minutes just to place our order I decided to play it safe and just order an Appitizer and quick seafood trio to be able to get our food quick. We were traveling with a 2 year old and can’t take too long or else she can meltdown.
Waitress never offered to refill drinks or get me another beer. She never checked to see if our food was ok. We had to flag her down to ask for another piece of bread to dip in the Appitizer oil, 10 minutes later it showed up and they charged us for it on the bill.
I usually tip close to 40% but on this occasion I could only give 10% for such poor service. We were made to feel like we were an inconvenience to her night.

This is a nice lunch spot especially in the off season. Prices are good for HHI. Food is good for a pub.

Delicious and friendly! Came for restaurant week, and left happy and full. Fresh salads, and the beef pot pie was extraordinary. Chocolate bread pudding for desert was top notch. We will be back soon. Waitress was super friendly too.

Best ribs!!! Shrimp, house vegetables. Everything is absolutely delicious!!! Our waitress was wonderful. We met a nice couple that we spoke with until their food arrived. I could not eat all of my food so I ate later the next day, and the flavor was still great. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone, who just want a excellent meal, before a movie. JUST WONDERFUL!!!

Reminds me of what steak houses used to be like, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s a Pittsburgh bar for sure. We ordered the perogies and even an IC Light. Yes, they had bottles of it.
I had the scallops Savannah style and was very happy with my selection. The toddler opted for the chicken fingers and devoured them all.
The service was great and enjoyed the environment. We had a party of 7 and did call ahead just in case they were busy.

Pittsburgh haven in hilton head. Apps. We’re all good. One girl working there and she was very happy and pleasant.

While on our family vacation 11 of us ate at Nicks Steak and Seafood for dinner because we are from Pittsburgh. The waitress was great and majority of us enjoyed our dinner.
My fiancé had the 2lbs of Crab legs and they were sub par compared to the other crab legs we have had on the island, and he got a 24 hour stomach bug after eating them. I had the peach bbq salmon which was delicious.
I would recommend Nicks, just not their crab legs.

This is definitely the place for any Pittsburgh sports fan visiting or living in thr Hilton Head South Carolina lowcountry. My wife ordered the BBQ surf and turf. She rated her meal an 8 and the fried shrimp I ordered. See the photos I posted of her meal and mine. The resteraunt was clean and the wait staff was very helpful and prompt. My baked potato was a bit overcooked but overall I rate Nick’s a 4 out of 5. On a side note the evening aptmosphere is great. If you have to wait for a seat there’s a lot of outside seating and a bean bag double double bag toss. There’s also music playing on outdoor speakers.

Great customer service and the food was better than expected given the place has a pub feel when waking though the door.
The grouper served savannah style was incredible. The 10oz NY stripe was cooked perfect.
We will be back for all you can eat crab legs before the vacation ends…

I only ordered a grilled chicken salad from here. From the menu it really looked appetizing. Peaches, pecans grilled chicken, lettuce, etc. However, it wasn’t paired well at all. It was mediocre at best.
Honestly, I have had better salads at wendys. Prices were on the high side. If I were a betting man, I’d say go else where. I took a chance based on the reviews, but I wasn’t impressed.

Great outdoor seating. They play country/​boating music, like Buffett, and your sitting under plenty of shade to help with the heat. If you’re a vacationing Pittsburgher, this is the place for you. The inside is decked with memorabilia from burg sports personalities. The menu has the «Pitts“burger on it, along with a number of local favorites – including pierogies! We tried the crab and corn fritters, they were very good.

FREAKING EXCELLENT! Ribs, seriously was top 3 I ever had. And I’m a NC girl! Soft dry rub then a little sauce after they’re done. Tender as oh my god! Fried shrimp was surprisingly panko fried and huge! Very light and airy. Scallops decent size, broiled perfectly. Tilapia, amazingly!
I am a huge foodie but my better half, not so much. And she hates seafood (I know rite!). We needed surf and turf. This was me dumbing it down and settling… so I thought.
Best surprise ever! 2 cocktails, 2 meals and dessert (carrot cake, 5 stars!), 60.00 (70.00 w/​tip). Good job Nick’s!l

This place was not your typical vacation restaurant, but the food and service were great!
I had the peach bbq salmon and my boyfriend had a steak. Everything was very fresh and well cooked. I’m a bit of a picky eater, and our server was happy to help me with substitutions.
The restaurant has a Steeler’s theme, which my boyfriend thought was cool, but it also has several large TVs and a nice bar. It was a quiet atmosphere with many families dinning. It wasn’t super fancy, but it was clean and comfortable and just what we wanted after a long day in the sun. I’d happily go back!
