Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. We ate the Jose Carne and Jose Fritto burritos, and they were fantastic! The Jose Fritto was fried and on a bed of lettuce. I normally don’t care for burritos, but it was so good I finished the whole thing! I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Been here several times before I did this review. I found it a little difficult to really gauge this restaurant. Let me just say that I like this place a lot. I understand that there are pluses and minuses here and you can find equal or better Tex-Mex in the Rochester area but there is a nice style and care in the way JoseJoes puts their entrees together. Prices seem reasonable 1/3lb specialty burger for $ 8(regular cheeseburger for $ 6.28) as well as a ½ pound(two ¼lb patties) for around 9 $. Burritos are also around $ 8. The burritos are almost a work of art and I complement the preparers/owners. You really can’t miss with these. See my photos, they taste as good as they look. The burgers are very good as well and the toppings are fresh and delicious. The smoking joe burger is my favorite. They also provide a few interesting sides. One of which is fried smashed potatoes, which is salt potatoes smashed and fried served with a salsa ranch sauce. Maybe your not in the mood for burrito or burger JJ’s also has tacos(beef or chicken), quesadillas, black bean and rice balls, chicken sandwiches, taco fries and a variety of salads. This restaurant deserves to be successful. They put care in their product and are by far my favorite place to go in the Hilton area. I have a feeling that this place will continue to grow and get a good following. I have always had a satisfying meal here.

Rolled in here on a Friday covered in mud(didn’t give a fuck) was looking forward to trying an egg burger my boy was ranting about. Placed my order for the Morning Joe and was super hungry! It came out and looked amazing, looks can be deceiving. Took a meaty bite outta the bitch and realized I made a horrible mistake, the egg douched all over my face and the bottom roll basically disintegrated. My blood was instantly boiling and I wanted to leave, my hole calmed me down and we got the fuck outta there. I would definitely come back, but Would stay away from the Joe.

Garbage Plate Burrito! A combination of culinary vices that(although very bad for you) is oh so good! This place is fantastic.

We finally went for dinner tonight! The food was delicious. Across the family we ordered a Cheeseburger, Beanburger, Chicken Quesedilla, and 2 Tacos. I had the mac salad, it was good. My husband had the smashed potatoes with were smashed salt potatoes and fried — he enjoyed them. I had the cheeseburger, it was great, fresh and the roll was delicious. I will say that of all things, I did not love the chips and salsa. The chips are flavorless and heavy. I am used to lighter ones. I know there are various kinds of salsa, but this isn’t chopped finely enough for me. I prefer more liquid. That being said, it’s just my preference. I wanted to try one of their desserts, they all looked so good, but I was just too full. For the family it was a great meal. We have kids, and appreciated the wait for food was not too long.

Where Chipotle meets Five Guys– it’s the best way I can describe the delicious offerings of Jose Joe’s! I’ve never ordered anything I didn’t like at Jose Joe’s and neither has anyone else in this family. My personal favorites are the nacho breaded chicken sandwich which is just phenomenal, the garbage bowl(genius, with smashed potatoes!), and those smashed potatoes themselves with the addictive secret sauce. I’m not sure you can go wrong with anything you order at Jose Joe’s, though. The portions are certainly not small, the service is friendly, the décor is well done, and parking is convenient in the back lot. A little noisy, but otherwise just a fantastic addition to Hilton! We can’t wait to go back yet again.

Everything was great. Ordered take out. We got two salads, a build your own burrito and a burger. Very tasty. I also got a side of their smashed potatoes which I was my crazy about. Not much flavor at all but all in all a good dinner. When I’m back in hilton I’m sure I will return.

I really wanted to like this place and hate to give bad ratings but i hope they can adapt and step up their game. In the neighborhood and starving we gave it a try. One star for cookie dough burrito(really great, best part of meal), another half star for being clean, fast and friendly. The mexican items were really lacking and no where near as good as Itacate. The owners should visit there to see what burritos, nachos and a small container of guacamole and chips should taste like. My wife who is a guacamole addict took one bite and said«ok then, here do you want this» …and no i didn’t. The food was closer to Taco Bell to me than what i was expecting, which was maybe like an Itacate, chipotle or moe’s. The burgers were also lacking, and as others mentioned the small patties were dry and totally unremarkable. Not really much to say, was hoping for a nice juicy, tasty burger and got the exact opposite. They should visit Schallers(not my favorite but ok in a pinch) for a decent burger that is cheaper than theirs. Just can’t see us going back, if we are in the mood for burgers and mexican we will be making two stops at other places.

I’ve eaten here with my boyfriend and brother at least six times now and I love trying new things! My boyfriend gets«The JoJo» every time which is basically a cheeseburger sub. It comes with two burgers on a brioche sub roll with mayonnaise, lettuce, onions and bacon. He is obsessed with them! My brother gets the«Garbage Bowl» which is in an actual bread bowl! It’s for sure a good place to lose your garbage plate virginity because the meat hot sauce is scratch made as well as most of their other recipes and it is TODIEFOR. I myself get something new and different each time but I always get fries to «make it a meal» for $ 1.79 more! The fries are crispy and not soggy and wilt like all the others to be served in Hilton. If you save room after eating all that food… And have a chance to get a dessert burrito, go for the«cookie dough burrito»! It is amazing. Crunchy on the outside, with confectionary sugar on top, hot, melt in your mouth cookie dough and they even give you chocolate dipping sauce for extreme chocolate lovers! I myself love Jose Joes and will be repeat business guaranteed.

Hilton. Home of… not much. And my parents. So, when I found myself at their house Friday night and dinner became the subject of conversation, I was eager to try the new spot in town. Street parking is sparse, but the building has a rear entrance as well so don’t shy away from the parking lot. The rear entrance isn’t awkward to use, either(you’re not going through the kitchen or anything). You’ll pass the restrooms on your way in, which are labeled«Joe’s» and«Jo’s» and I hope someone realizes this is a bad idea as when you need to pee, factoring in that women named«Jo» don’t have an «e» in their name doesn’t come easily. They’re clean, at least. Set up much like a typical fast food establishment, you order at the counter and retrieve your food at the same counter. No table service here, which fits the style of cuisine. With about 7 or 8 tables and a few bar stools, seating might appear small, but you know what else is small? The surrounding population. It was 7 pm on Friday and we were able to grab a table for 5 without waiting. The walls are energetically painted and the décor is rather polished for a non-chain low budget joint. The menu is large enough to meet the picky needs of a large family but uncomplicated once you figure out which category you are in the mood for. As the name«Jose Joe’s» suggests, they offer both Mexican and American options. Well, Americanized Mexican and burgeresque American. You’re free on both fronts to customize to your hearts content, or select from a few options like the Morning Joe($ 7.69) with an egg in the burger… Salads and chicken sandwiches are also available. I opted for a fried chicken burrito, or a «Jose Frito»($ 6.99). I requested no beans and the probably-new-to-having-a-job girl behind the register figured out how to enter that in with minimal time. She did so with a smile and was very pleasant throughout the ordering process even though she seemed a bit frazzled. The kitchen was well staffed(over staffed?) and everyone was as professional as a group of teenagers get. The line had a steady flow and orders came out quickly regardless of type(called in, eat in, take out). Our order for four came up within a reasonable time, quickly if you factor in allowances for how busy they were and the relatively newness of the operation. To my burrito I added smashed potatoes and a soda(Loganberry!) for $ 1.79 which is $.10 cheaper than the potatoes on their own. The potatoes were accompanied with a small cup of ranch, but otherwise were a bit bare. They were simple, just salt potatoes, smashed then fried, but I would order again. My burrito also gained repeat potential, with a perfectly crispy tortilla plump with fillings. For future visits, I’ll be sure to request extra sauce as they toppings were delicious though not abundant(pico de gallo and avocado cream sauce). The marinated chicken was a bit bland, but it wasn’t chewy so I just added some hot sauce(available at the straw/napkin station). My parents were please with their meals, a trio of tacos and the regular joe burger(with brioche bun earning high praise), but the bites of guacamole I stole from my son weren’t impressive. The fluffy homemade chips were tasty, but the overly bland guacamole was served up in a too-small-for-$ 3.29 cup. Over all, I’m very excited to see this new addition to the small offerings of Hilton. I look forward to trying the other options(especially the fried cookie dough roll).

Went 2⁄15 for take out and got the smokin Joe burger After the first bite I said this tastes like a dry whopper. The meat was dried out and not at all juicy which right away will ruin a burger no matter what you put on it, Also got the taco salad and my partner only ate half because it was to dry. I will go back to try the Mexican side to see if my rating will bump up.
