If you want five star level advice on anything paint related, this is the place for you. They understand the whole process-​particularly as it relates to high end and atypical finishes.

The people who work here are always helpful. Courteous, knowledgeable, always willing to give advice and explain different options, and don’t try to steer you to the highest cost item. I have more confidence that I’m using the right materials for my projects when I shop here than I do when purchasing at the big box stores.

I am a painting contractor and I come to this location even if it’s out of my way. I get great service, very reliable, always have the right products in stock. This store is also the only one that knows how to tint all their specialty products.

I’ve been using J C Licht in Hinsdale since my very first project in 1994 and whenever I find myself working in the area these days, it’s still my «go to» place for paint and related supplies.
Recently, they’re carrying mainly Benjamin Moore products, but I believe they’ll color match from other companies for you, too. Over the years, staff members have come and gone, but Jason (the manager) here is stellar. I’ve found that whenever there’s an issue or request from a client, he always goes above and beyond the call, not only to satisfy the customer, but to make them feel comfortable, too. He seems to go out of his way to make personalized conversation and to be honest, he’s the main reason I keep coming back. If you have a paint question of any magnitude, he’ll not only answer it for you precisely, but also in a manner in which you’ll have no trouble understanding it.
Try getting that kind of service at Home Depot.

The worse of the worse. Better service at HD. Asked for three simple BM paint samples to be matched in rush for a customer who purchased their paint there and was in need of some touch up for the selling and walk through on their house and they so far have taken over two days to match what apperas to be two standard white colors and std. color from there color chips. I cannot think of any other paint dealer in the area that would take so long to do this simple task. Very non professional staff.
