After hearing about this store from fellow Unilocalers, I decided to check it out, as I am in the process of making earrings for some small gifts. What a great place — I could feel my creative urges stirring! Lots of beautiful, very cool beads to browse through; the selection is quite unique and different from many other places that sell the typical glass beads. Jenna, the owner was more than helpful as she showed me some tips on putting different types of earrings together. She also teaches classes at the store for groups in whatever jewelry making process you’d like! As I am an earring junkie I will definitely be frequenting this store often!

For those of you in the suburbs, Jenna Beads is the newest jewelry/​bead store to open up in Hinsdale. I have seen the designer at many art shows and she has just opened up her own shop in Hinsdale. Her beads are amazing and you can buy them by strands and make them yourself! I bought a gorgeous strand of amber beads and I bought little gold spacers so I can make my own necklace. It’s amazing and she has a variety of beads and necklaces that she’s made to choose from. It’s the best addition to the suburbs yet!

Wow– I sort of stumbled upon this new bead/​jewelry shop and it is amazing! It just opened up last week and I am so happy! They have a ton of different types of beads, and I’m not talking about your cheesy kid beads, and there are so many things you can make with them. They sell them by the strand, but I actually bought one of the necklaces that was on display. The designer has her own necklaces for sale and even though the idea of making my own is great, I don’t think I’m creative/​artistic enough to do it– so I bought one that was pre-​made!
