This place is home. My dad and I have been coming here since I needed a booster seat and ordered chocolate milk with my cheeseburger. The new owners have done a really great job cleaning up the place, but my fondest memories will always be of Chuck cooking burgers on the back grill and Wendy and Mike asking me how school was going(Mike is at Acanto in the city now, for any regulars who wish to pop by). I haven’t seen Mike since they sold the place and he somehow still remembers my birthday. Michelle will probably still call me «Princess» even when I show up at Pages with my own kids 10 years from now. Is it Michelin-star quality food? Of course not. Is it great diner-style breakfast? Absolutely. If you’re lucky, you might even see Coach Q hanging out in a booth. Get the skillet(with biscuits and gravy), you won’t be sorry.

Page’s Restaurant is Above Average for a number of reasons including food made out of food, friendly staff and customers, fair prices, quick service, hot coffee, a long and interesting menu and donuts from a local bakery if you wake up early enough and get there.(If you sleep in, you will miss out.) Truly good diners are hard to find in this region so an independent place like Page’s should be treasured and supported. There’s no shortage of sub-par family restaurants that should be this good that are not. Many of them need to be re-tooled. This one does not. It is as good as it should be and I hope it carries on for decades to come. Anyone who rates it three stars or below should either be eating at home(too picky) or should probably steer themselves more toward the upper-crust, white table cloth, bistro type joints(expecting to «discover» nouveau hipster cuisine where it shouldn’t be). Page’s is the kind of place that is a community hub. They support local efforts and it shows. The view of the sidewalk and the train station is 100 percent pure American downtown/uptown gold. I drive out of my way to eat here anytime I am in the area. You would do well to do the same.

This isn’t high end fair, fancy schmancy, no. This is some solid comfort food that makes you full and welcomed. Classic diner styling is a throwback, and reminds me of when my grandfather would take me out for breakfast when I was a kid. I LOVEIT. There is a family vibe there. Yes that is family, meaning sometimes there is sarcasm, but isn’t that why we love our family? Conveniently located right across from the Metra stop. You don’t want to miss out on some perfectly delicious Apple Cider donuts either!

Great place to come and enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal! Ingredients were fresh and flavorful in our skillet and huevos rancheros! Also grabbed a dozen donuts: best I ever had! Make sure you look at the specials board for the latest fixins. There are plenty of choices and so far, no disappointments. Looking forward to coming back again and again!

Update: I’ve given the place several chances, and each time had been a complete letdown. My plain scrambled eggs always tasted like peppers or onions, so I suppose it’s a good thing I don’t have any allergies, but that’s something to look out for if you do. But more important than all that is that after my first review an owner(manager? Employee?) Cecelia r. Messaged me with the excuses in the photo. Don’t argue with your customers, lady. I don’t give a damn about the state the restaurant was in when you bought it(fix it, duh? Or you have no business being open, I mean us this place even up to code? Jeez) or how much it cost you, this obviously isn’t about YOU it’s about the terrible, over priced food you serve. If you want to serve garbage food, then at least charge a reasonable price.

After 3 visits, I just feel they prefer to see their regulars on Sunday. No warm welcome and as a non-regular, I got the rough treatment. Very tight quarters and they must want you in-out on Sunday. I wasn’t sure what I felt like having when I first walked in(15 minutes after they open) and got bombarded by the waitress at first, then ignored. I had to ask multiple times for water and a refill of my commuter coffee mug. Just not worth the half hour drive into Hinsdale, to get ignored and to feel like a nuisance. It wasn’t like anyone was waiting to sit in the tight corner booth. The horse shoe counter was full when I left and perhaps it’s preferred over the tight booths for 2.

not sure about all of their food their donuts are AMAZING!!! the best apple cider donuts, made fresh with really good ingredients. The donuts are bit pricey $ 2 each, but its definitely worth the money. My advice: call in advance to make sure they have some, they sell out suer fast!!!

It’s a dive diner and it’s in Hinsdale. Yep, you heard me right. It’a dive diner and it’s in Hinsdale! That said I love this place. They have a frankcheesie on the menu! Do you know that is? A hot dog with cheese and bacon wrapped around it and they grill it. For that alone, this place gets 5 stars. It’s been there forever and looks like it. That to me is cool.

I can’t express how awful the first 5 minutes were I this place. I was so excited to see it by appearance but once the stank owner opened her mouth I knew I needed to not return. She was so dramatic. Eye rolling people that asked about seating. Ignoring the line. Kissing butt to the regulars. God help me I can’t get out if here fast enough. I’m sure the good will be fine, but I hate supporting businesses that are owned by laammmmmmeee people. The staff seems like they are trying to overcome the fact that they work for a rude boss. Kudos to them.

Not a good looking place. I was a bit skeptical when we walked in, but the place is cozy and looks very outdated. Who knew a little old-fashion diner in Hinsdale would have great tasting huevo rancheros… with my favorite corn tortillas! Cooked perfectly with just enough sauce. The coffee was great and I loved that they had flavored creamers. Nice little place for breakfast.

A friend and I decided to eat brunch at Page’s while we explored the shops at Hinsdale. The place definitely had a nice, comfortable, small town feel to it and service was friendly. I ordered a chicken caesar salad which was okay(wasn’t in the mood for eggs and hash browns which is what I usually order at diners). My friend ordered huevos rancheros and seemed to enjoy it. Decent enough place for a quick and quiet bite to eat.

I love Pages! Best breakfast place to eat in Hinsdale! You wouldn’t expect this to be there but it’s a town staple and I enjoy eating here all the time! I love the staff!

Just wanted to give Page’s another shout out since Anne H., the self appointed queen of Hinsdale said my previous review was fraud. Still love this place, and apparently many others do too. The line on Saturday or Sunday for a table is always worth the wait though. Page’s is a diner. And people who can appreciate what a diner is and what they serve will love it! The décor is fun and retro, the service is always fantastic. It’s a small family run show, but they really do cook an outstanding breakfast here. Yep, there’s other places in Hinsdale to eat breakfast, but Page’s is the best.

Pages Diner is a dump and anyone who writes a 5 star review is obviously either lying or this is a fraudulent posting. Pages has been in Hinsdale for years, the food is about as basic as you can get. If someone says the breakfast is the best, it’s a lie. They should try some other local establishments, say Egg Harbor, which actually has top quality ingredients. I have to say, Jules H and Venessa R ‘s taste in restaurants is very basic. Their decaf coffee is tasteless. It’s true that everyone knows each other in there, but that doesn’t make for up for indifferent food. Years ago, I went into Pages in the summer. My kitchen was being remodeled. Their air conditioning doesn’t work. I re-read some of the 5 star reviews, and they are clearly fraudulent. Pages is such a bad restaurant that they will do anything to get people to visit. Don’t fall for it. And, no, t hey don’t take credit cards.

We took the train out to Hinsdale and were looking for a quick late lunch over the weekend. Cosi and Corner Bakery were in sight, but we thought we’d support a local business and head into Pages Diner instead and boy am I happy we did! The moment we walked in, we were greeted by several friendly folks and just felt like we had been transported back 20 – 30 years. The menu had a great selection of breakfast and lunch. I ordered an egg skillet with peppers, onions and chorizo and it was SO good! I was pleasantly surprised to see it come out in corn tortillas and the hash browns were some of the best I have tried! It is a rare sight for me to leave my plate completely clean but I did with this meal. Everyone was very friendly and our waitress was awesome. I loved how the staff seemed to know all their patrons by name and engaged in friendly conversation. Our waitress was super sweet, made some great recommendations on the menu and just made our dining experience really pleasant. Yes, this place has seen better days, but it’s a diner! You expect old booths and to feel like the place is stuck in the 70s. Unlike other reviewers, I thought the bathroom was very clean. Yes, it is a little weird that as you go to bathroom you can look right into the kitchen, but whatever, this isn’t a spot for fine dining so it is not a deal breaker.

You’ve been here before. Probably many times. Page’s is your typical Mom & Pop small town diner where everyone seems to know each other by name and everything from the menu to the fixtures to the staff seem over 50 years old. I mean this is in the best of ways. It’s a comfortable setting with comfort food fare.

It was an ok meal, nothing really to special, the place was very clean and kinda dated. Staff was nice enough but would make snarky comments. It was nice in a pinch if you where trying to ketch a train otherwise I wouldnt go out of your way to go here.

I have been here twice now and love it. It is perfect for a hot lunch on a cold day. I love the curly fries because they aren’t seasoned and once you dump some cheese on them they are even better. My only suggestion is do not sit in the booth right next to the door when the heat is on unless you like to be a balmy 85 degrees. The vent for the heat is over there and I thought I was going to melt, but anywhere else in the place is fine. When you walk in you are greeted by two friendly waitress you run the place and you seat yourself. The specials on the the wall before you walk in and on the board behind the counter so you know what they have right away. I can see how this place would not be as great on a weekend morning but during the week for lunch it is great when you are sick of eating chain food. I know a past review listed them as cash only but there is a visa sticker on the door, but I have never seen anyone use a card, so to be safe I would travel with cash here.
