Absolutely love this place. I’ve never had a bad experience and I have been coming here for many years… the BBQ salad is outstanding and not to mention the Hiram Cheese steak both very good. And don’t forget the nanner pudding mmmm good.

I have lived near this place for over 15 years and only just started going there a couple months ago. This place rocks. Food is good, cheap and plentiful. And this may seem like a minor detail but when you ask for a water you get a free bottled water. Like I said this may seem trivial but I think it’s the icing on the cake. The barbecue sandwiches are execellent, and they have several different sauces, all of which are good. Service is always pleasant, even though it’s a self serve place, the staff are always polite and friendly.

Rating is only for the coleslaw because it is phenomenal. I could eat gallons of this stuff… delicious. I am super picky about my coleslaw and this is the best! It is sweet tasting… so, if you like sweet slaw, this is for you! If you like the peppery, vinegar taste… may not be your style!

Thus bbq is good. Their sauce is alright. I got the ribs n chicken combo. Chicken was really good. Ribs were tasty and didn’t need much sauce. I didn’t care for the half slices hamburger bun.

Best BBQ hickory salad out there. I’m shocked the reviews average a three! This place is always packed and extremely popular among everyone in Paulding county. Anytime I an visiting family I make a stop

This place is useless. Don’t know why it is still in business. Food is dry and gross. The service is horrible. You will wait in line for 20 minutes without moving only for your food to be cold and bland.

I love this place! Their food is wonderful I normally get the hickory salad and I love it! The staff are all friendly for the most part and it is a very welcoming place it has that nice country feel to it! Their prices are a little on the high side. But other then that the place is great and I recommend coming if you have never been!

Ate here for lunch with some co-workers. It was alright. Nothing spectacular about this place. I ordered the pork and rib dinner plate and a large tea. Cost me $ 18. Way to expensive for mediocre bbq. I didn’t feel there was much value in their portions either. I paid $ 18 and got about the same amount of food as my co-workers got on their lunch plates for half the amount. No collard greens at a bbq place is big deal for me. I will say their fries are amazingly good.

Food is not great and the prices keep going up. Every time I go there they mess up my order. Nothing like waiting in a long line to get your food and its wrong and you paid twice as much for it!

Ate here for the first time today and I was not disappointed. I had a Grizzly Burger Basket and it was excellent. The burger was cooked to perfection, meaty and juicy. The fries were excellent and for the price and quality of the food, you can not beat it. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and I felt very comfortable there. All in all and very enjoyable experience and I will definitely be back.

We eat here frequently — it is either really good or fairly bad — have had the BEST steaks there but then other times, they are all fat and nasty. We ate there tonight and the steaks were not edible — the dogs got them. they were 75% fat and gristle. However, the patch chop is awesome. I have found that it is not good to get whatever the special is… typically not good in our case.

Love this place! It’s a great place to go on tour lunch break if you work in Hiram like I do. They have a $ 3.99 deal that’s good all week and they email the deal to you or you can find it on the website. Their portions are huge and the food is so delicious. I highly recommend the Hiram Cheesesteak and Fries. Yum!

This is the worst value and the worst bbq I have ever had. My wife got a salad, basically lettuce in a bowl with 2 small tomatoes for $ 7? Reading the menu will make you sick. It’s electronic and I guess they are trying to be fancy so it flips every so often. Have me a headache instantly. There’s no purpose in that! Anyways, food is not good and very expensive. I wouldn’t eat that bbq for free. Why there are always cars there is beyond my understanding.

Try the Hiram cheese steak. Best sandwich I have had. You can’t find anything like it any where.

Avoid. Got the pulled pork sandwich with okra. Pork seemed like it came from a can, barbecue sauce was TERRIBLE. Okra was good, needed salt, but you can’t really mess up fried okra. Many much better bbq joints around. Don’t waste your time or money.

I have lived in Dallas my whole life and I love going to Briar Patch. I have recently moved out of state and I am back for a short visit. My family and I did take out tonight. Pork plate with 2 side and drink special for $ 7.95. It was great! I love the bbq and the homemade, greasy French fries. I like to get the hot and fresh sauce from the kitchen and I dip everything in it. In previous visits I have enjoyed the pork fries and also the pork salad with 1000 island.

It was good not great BBQ. VERY bland. The cole slaw was more mayo than any thing. Very crowded at lunch with a small parking lot. Utility workers usually know the good spots to eat in an area and there were 13AT&T trucks in the parking lot.

Surprised to see this on Unilocal.People in Paulding county don’t know what Unilocal is.(In extreme southern accent) «We don’t know what Unilocal is, but we know welp. Welp we’ll get us some more barbecue from briar patch.» This place is good not great. The barbecue is Meh, but the price is great with web coupons. Couple of the highlights are the Hickory Fries(pulled pork on top of hand cut fries) and Patch Chop(grilled pork chop). We eat here often because it’s good and cheap. Get the grilled dishes, those are their specialty.

I equate my review to someone who eats pastrami-on-white-with-mayo, writing about NY’s Carnegie Deli. In other words, I am far from a bbq connoisseur. However… I’m married to a southerner raised on this stuff(which lends some credibility to my assessment.) Ordered a pork sandwich — specified outside cut –with fries and coleslaw. They call this option a «Patch Basket,» and not a bad deal @ $ 7.95. The sandwich was pretty good, though more inside meat than outside.(I like it crunchy!) The fries were really good — appeared hand cut — and the coleslaw, eh. Forgettable. Why the gal taking our order assumed we wanted quart-sized cups of sweet tea, is beyond me. But when I saw that she charged us $ 2.25 rather than the posted $ 3.45, I kept quiet.(FYI, order a small drink. Refills are self-serve.) IN essence, the food here is fine. The place has history. I won’t balk about going back, but if given a choice for a bbq sandwich, I’d choose Williamson Brothers.
