We received much attitude with our visit. We will not return… it it is unfortunate because the sandwich is very good

I wanted to submit this after the appalling service I received at a Subway in Hitchcock(6731 Main St, Hitchcock, TX77563). The African American man, who was the only employee working at the time, had on no nametag, was extremely slow, and very unprofessional. When it was out turn to order after 30 minutes in line, with only 1 person ordering 1 sandwich in front of us, he took out his cellphone before asking our order and ignored us until he sent his text or whatever he was doing. Then during making my sandwich he put on literally 16 pieces of cheese because he couldn’t peel them correctly. He then took a swig of his gatorade bottle, swished it in his mouth, and shook his head afer he swallowed. I think he had a mixed drink in his bottle that was extremely strong. When we got to the condiment portion of our sandwich he poured way too much salt and pepper on my sandwhich, couldn’t put vegetables on evenly, and was complaining about other customers who had left ordering 13 sandwiches or something and having no time to clean up his station. I have no idea who he was talking about and found it quite rude. Then when he was fumbling to get our sandwhiches into a bag one opened up because he didn’t wrap them correctly and it’s contents went on the counter. He then took his UNGLOVEDHANDS to put the items back in the sandwich and wrap it. Completely appalling food safety, and my sandwhich tastes like salt. I feel that we deserve the almost $ 20 wasted at this store returned. I hope that employee also gets the help he needs if he’s drinking on the job during work.
