Just OK. I ate here for lunch & they were running low on almost everything & they weren’t crowded at all. I think the desserts were like 3 days old & the salad bar had probably sat out all night.

Above average selections on the food bars. Standard American Chinese cuisine. Not bad for the price. All things considered I rate it right in the middle.

Eaten here three times now for lunch and consistently good each time. Typically these places leave food out till its reduced to mush but never the case here.

I had high hopes for this place but it was just so so. Some of the food seemed like it had sat out too long and had become stale or hard. That made me a bit hesitant to eat some of the other things such as the seafood offerings Not sure I’ll go back…

Just wanted to get something quick. Staff was very friendly and efficient. The sushi looked like, well I wasn’t sure how long it had been there so scare me. I mean if you really want sushi go to a sushi place right? They has the coolest toothpick origami. Well I never saw it before?

The place has a smell like old fish and musty carpet. That should have been my cue to go elsewhere. But I wanted to not judge a book by its cover. The cover sucked, and so did the food. It had little flavor overall. The lo mein was mushy. The egg rolls were bland. The shrimp were chewy. The fried rice was bland. Overall it was just a bad meal. McDonalds would have been a better meal in my opinion. Go elsewhere.

There are times when you regret allowing other people to choose where to dine… and this was one of those times. I hadn’t been to buffet king in years… because it was way less than stellar back then, although there seemed to be more options then. Walked in to buffet king for lunch with a friend who was really craving it… fine. I try to have an open mind going into any restaurant. Upon first appearances… it looks ok. We are seated and get our drink order in, then head to the buffet. The selection was mediocre at best.(I feel quite generous with giving it mediocre by the way) There are a lot of dishes with the same sauce… and same taste. The dumplings… wow…they were steamed… and instead of a traditional pork… or even shrimp… it was this salty meatball like stuffing… maybe even meatloaf type of stuffing… the worst I have had… ever. There was nothing that stood out as good… there were a lot of American dishes on the buffet, for a Chinese buffet… but that isn’t anything unusual in Chattanooga. The chicken wings were probably the only decent thing I ate… and they weren’t great. Next time, I am choosing the restaurant… its only fair to my poor abused taste buds. Another thing… for 2 people at lunch with drinks and tip came to $ 25.00…kind of steep for the selection and quality. * Service sidenote: service was fine… its a buffet… plates were cleared and drinks filled accordingly.

I’ve tried this place a couple of times. The first time, the food was not great… so before I reviewed it on Unilocal,I decided to give it one more shot. My opinion hasn’t changed. It’s truly awful and the buffet is overpriced. There is a wide variety of foods, and I’ve tried most of them. Fried foods aren’t crispy… the meats are chewy and only lukewarm at best. Even the pizza doesn’t look very attractive. The servers do keep your dirty plates cleared and your drink full… so that’s why they got two stars. If you’re in a hurry you can get in and out of here quickly… but it will also hit your wallet pretty hard. Lunch with a soda and an acceptable tip is nearly $ 11.00
